The Palace of Olympus

"Good morning, Lord Narada," greeted Lady Mila and he just smirked at me as he turned his neck like an owl. He said, "Good morning to you too, Lady Mila, daughter of Rai." Then he stood up and walked towards me. I just stopped moving as he narrowed his eyes and looked at my face while stooping down. Is there something wrong with my face? I checked it with my hand and I felt nothing. Then Lady Mila and the others talked to each other and I am here in this awkward situation where an odd Olympian is staring close to my face. I decided to start a conversation. "Uh, good morning, Lord Narada." "Hmm...," he hummed as he thought about something while rubbing his chin. "Huh...?" I asked in a way that it wouldn't offend him or show disrespect. "You are a peculiar human," he said and then grabbed my arm and raised it as he inspected the side of my body. "Wha-" "Hmm...," he hummed again. "Father," said Lady Juliet. "Leave him alone for now because we're taking him to Lord Seok." "Alright," he said and let go of my arm. "Welcome to Olympus, God of Gravity." "Thank you, my lord," I bowed. He just nodded with a smirk then he walked away then walked on the pathway that leads to the mansion at the distance. He's odd... "Sorry about that, Leonide," said Lady Juliet. "My father is just a little curious about you." "Oh, it's fine, my lady," I said. "So," said Lady Mila. "shall we go to the Palace?" "Let's go," nodded Lady Juliet. "Okay," said Lady Aiko then the bright yellow light surrounded us again. It settled down and I can feel the morning heat of the sun. We are now standing in front of large golden double doors. Wow... It looks magnificent! It is a hundred meters tall and this is just a small part of the Palace of Olympus and it has metal works of thousands of golden flowers and gemstones of different colors and varieties! Just selling one of these doors will be worth a fortune. I see the tallest tower above and it is taller than any human building that I have ever seen! Oh, man... I think I might cry but I stopped myself from doing it. But... this is really worthwhile because I have only been seeing this enormous palace from home and very far that I can almost see it as a far star in the morning sky. I feel I already fulfilled my dream. But my new dream now is to become the King of Olympus, so I can't say that I have what I have dreamed of. The caramel-colored bricks on the ground were flawless and look new. The grasses at the left and right of the pathway are well-trimmed and fairies were flying around and over them. And those awesome animal-shaped bushes, they're so big, flawless, and beautiful! "I'll take my leave now if you don't mind," said Lady Aiko while smiling and bowing. "Oh, sure, my lady," said Lady Mila and bowed back. "Thank you for taking us here. We really appreciate it!" "You're welcome and goodbye everyone!" "Thank you, my lady," I said. "Thank you," said Lady Juliet. "Thank you and goodbye, my lady," said Lord Hyeon and I notice that he is not wearing coverings but he is covered by a shadow when there's nothing above him to make the shade. Then I saw the shadow of Lady Juliet extending from her feet and combined with Lord Hyeon's shadow unnaturally. It must be her power as the Goddess of Darkness. Lady Aiko waved her hands before disappearing with a flash of light. I looked once more at the surroundings and I can't see the edge of the plateau of Olympus because of the trees, huge mansions, mist, clouds, and hills. The sky is also busy with dozens of deities flying in the sky with their powers along with mythical creatures that I haven't seen before. There's a flying turtle!!! What the heck...? How can a turtle like that fly in the sky with slim flippers? Oh, right... powers of gods. I guess my common sense as a human does not work here but I'll get used to it eventually. There's also this sweet scent in the air... Hmm.... It smells so good! Like flowers! Then I felt my stomach growling. It was so loud that they heard it. "I'm sorry," I apologized. "It's understandable," said Lady Mila. "we will eat later because we need to get this done sooner, for Lord Seok has his schedule full twenty-four hours a day. We can't miss it a single second. And where are those two? They should've been here before us!" I heard laughing behind us as we looked at the huge door. I turned around and I saw Lady Aurelia carrying the unconscious Darius over her shoulder. "What?!" I exclaimed. "I'm sorry I put too much volt on him," she laughed. Lady Mila just shakes her head then said, "Let's just get this over with." We waited for another minute while the goddesses talked and Lady Aurelia put Darius on the grasses and put flowers around him that made him look like he's dead. I find it funny. I just waited behind them as they talked. "I just checked the list of the other kids who will be in our section," said Lady Mila. "Uh-huh...," said Lady Juliet. "What have you found?" "There's a guy that is called, 'The God of Knowledge'." "Oh... that's a convenient power that I have always wanted." "Yes, but the downside to it is that it is up to him how to use it. Of course, he can remember anything in a single glance because of his absolute memory but as far as I know, the Gods of Knowledge are less capable of manipulation of the knowledge they know unlike the Gods of Wisdom. He's like an opposite to Lord Seok as he is the God of Wisdom that makes sense of the knowledge but his memory is normal. The God of Knowledge can't forget anything but his ability to manipulate the knowledge could be average." "But still, it is a very convenient ability. We might need him to replace the open position that my brother left. That God of Knowledge could be our walking encyclopedia and we wouldn't need any books with us." "Oh... that's right," smirked Lady Mila. "What is the name of this God of Knowledge and where is he from?" "His name is Cairo Ra and as his last name suggests, he is from the Ra Clan." "Did you see him back at the beach?" "No, maybe he didn't come or I just didn't notice him. I don't know." "Well, I think he is still a valuable asset for us when we get to Mars." "Mars?!!" I exclaimed and startled them so I apologized, "I'm sorry, my ladies." "As I was saying," said Lady Juliet. "he is the best candidate for the Third Seats of Olympus Mons." Olympus Mons? On Mars? Wow... Then I noticed that other deities are also waiting behind us and paid their greetings to the goddesses including Lady Aurelia - who continued to bury Darius with flowers until all we can see of him is just a slow-heaving pile of flowers. "Aurelia," said Lady Mila. "stop that now! And wake him up." "Okay!" she smiled while rubbing her palms and I hear buzzing. Oh, I think I can see where she is going with this. "Clear!" she yelled and poked Darius through the heap of flowers. "Gaaargh!!!" he screamed as he woke up and all of the deities were startled. "I'm gonna kill you!" "Oh, please," she said. "You've been saying that for a thousand times but I'm still alive and well." "Aargh!!!" he screamed and went to grab her but Lady Mila restrained him with her clouds. "Waaarghhh!! Let me-" he stopped screaming after she covered his mouth with the clouds. Then all we could hear are his angry breath through his nose while Lady Aurelia pokes it to tease him. I saw the faces of other deities and they aren't comfortable seeing him. Lady Mila asked Lady Juliet, "So, your father wasn't able to track Jasper?" "He wasn't able to, considering that he still has his job to track down the Masked League without any lead." "Well, that's where he's good at, guessing." "Yeah, but still, he said he found nothing but he is quite enthusiastic about it. But I think he eventually got tired so he just went back home just for this day to visit me and see me off for my first day in the Academy." Academy? "You got it better than me," sighed Lady Mila. "My father can't even stay for one night in the house. He says, 'there's always a job to do in the Realm no matter how big or small' - tch... He's good at making excuses." Then I felt a strong rumbling beneath my feet and heard the loud and low creaking sound as I saw the double doors opening outward. Little by little, I saw what is inside and I was astounded by what I saw. It is a bright empty hall with furnished marble walls, metal works, and furniture. We entered first and I smelled the freshness of the air - fresher than the outside. Overall, being here is like the Palace of Elysium as it was described in the books! Everything is lit up white and there are moving paintings on the walls! Wow, some horses are running around the live landscape painting! There are even giant floating chandeliers under the very high ceiling! They don't have cables to hang on but they just floated magically. It's so beautiful and I think they are made out of diamonds. This place is suddenly full of deities as they walked to and fro, then there are even moving sculptures but I find a little weird because they are n***d and have small peepees. And the women sculptures have nips. They are making me feel uncomfortable. If I react to these things while everyone is not paying attention to them, I will- "Hey, Leo!" called Lady Aurelia far from us and near the wall as she stooped down and pointed at the crotch of a sculpture then said, "it's so small." She laughed while slapping her knee then she raspberried at the face of the sculpture when it tried to cover it with his hands while frowning at her. I almost laughed too but I stopped myself by covering my mouth because I am near Lady Mila as she yelled, "Aurelia! Stop that! That's inappropriate!" "Okay, okay... Geez. I'm just kiddin' around. See ya, n***d guy!" she byed to the angry mute sculpture. We turned to the right to a passage that leads somewhere as she zapped beside Lord Hyeon that is in front of me as I walked beside the restrained Darius. I heard the conversations of Lady Aurelia and Lord Hyeon as she grabbed a hold of his arm. She's so clingy to him... "Where's your brother Hyun, Hyeon?" she asked with an annoying enthusiasm but because she's not bad-looking, so it made her... I don't know... cute? "I wanna fight him again." "He just left last night," he answered with a plain tone that lacked any emotion. "What?!! No! I still haven't had my revenge! I want a rematch! Make him come back now!" "I can't do that, my lady. It was the order of your father as the King, so no one can disobey it." "Nrrnnnggg...," she growled through her nostrils. "I hate him!" Then she jumped up and down as they walked and Lord Hyeon tried to balance himself as she did it. "Oh! Oh! Oh! You could fight me instead!" "I think you will be bored with me, my lady. You are faster than my bullets so I will not be much of a struggle for you." "Ugh....," she groaned in disappointment and then back into cheerfulness. "How about just hand-to-hand combat and without powers? That sounds good, doesn't it?" "That's if Lady Juliet allows it." "Juliet!" she called as we entered an elevator. "Let us-" "No," answered Lady Juliet as she turned after entering the elevator. "Why not?!!" violently reacted Lady Aurelia as she entered before me and Darius. We were behind them as they talked and I am astounded by the expensiveness of this elevator made out of gold. It would make much more sense if they use light alloy but then, this is Olympus. It wasn't also in my imagination that they also install the same technology we humans use in our everyday lives. So I will just shrug it and say, "This is Olympus." "What did you say?" asked Lady Mila as she turned to look at me. "Uh... nothing, my lady," I said. Damn... I said that out loud. "Come on, Juliet," pleaded Lady Aurelia. "just for a day!" "I said no." "Are you guys dating?" "What?!!!" exclaimed all of us except Darius.
