The God of Gravity part 2: Olympus

New Test for Darius

"Are you guys dating?" asked Lady Aurelia in a smile that squinted her eyes.

"What?!!!" exclaimed all of us except Darius because he can't even speak.

"No!" denied Lady Juliet. "Why did you ask that kind of question?"

"Did I poke some buttons?" she grinned.

"Aurelia, stop it," said Lady Mila. "You're making everyone here uncomfortable. They're not dating. Hyeon is sensitive to sunlight and only Juliet can keep him from exposure. Even if you say that you will fight him during the night, the answer is that he can't. He has to sleep or else he will be hungry for human blood beyond the control of his reasoning and the nearest human here on Olympus is this guy," she pointed to me as I was behind all of them.

"What?" I asked.

Then Lady Aurelia turns to me and scoffs, "Nah, let-im-eat-im."

"Just shut up," said her sister that is getting tired of scolding her every minute.

Lady Aurelia growled before saying, "I wish Enzo was here." and blew her hair with her sighing breath.

Then the elevator doors opened and we left as other deities getting out of the way while bowing their heads but got surprised as soon as they saw Darius thrashing around like a restrained animal. Lady Mila leads the way and I just glanced at the clothes of other deities. The others wear suits like us humans, but most of them wore traditional formal clothes that I've seen in pictures in books and the internet about other cultures.

I looked at the very far ceiling and chandeliers are hanging and shining like water. I notice that they are much smaller than the ones at the lobby but the same as they don't have suspension cables to support them so they just magically float above us. I feel uncomfortable because they could fall on someone and impale them or c***k their heads in half. But then this is Olympus.

"Speaking of Enzo," said Lady Juliet as she walked beside Lady Mila. "in his mission on Venus, he has to be under someone, right?"

"Yeah," answered Lady Mila. "He's under the command of Lady Selena."

"Oh... that's quite tricky. No one could've asked a worse combination than this," she laughed.

Lady Mila said, "You said it. That father of ours won't even spare a thought about that."

She laughed and then her sister asked, "What is this about?"

"It's not for kids like you," said Lady Mila. "This for grownups."

"We are the same age, we're twins!"

"Yes, but psychologically speaking, my mind and Juliet's mind developed faster than our bodies so we left you in the dust in terms of psychological development."

Then Lady Aurelia just opened her mouth in confusion because that was some complicated stuff. "I don't get it," she said.

"Yeah that's right, you don't," said Lady Mila. Then the two goddesses laughed.

"Hmmph!" scoffed Lady Aurelia in annoyance as she squinted in anger and folded her arms. "Father should've sent me instead of that ugly Selena. I'm far stronger than her."

"It's more complicated than what you could understand with that brain of yours, Aurelia."

"What's that?!!" she burst into anger with red electric arcs around her body.

"Give everybody some slack, we are already here."

Then she stopped and said, "Oh, cool! So, this is Seok's office?"

We are standing before a large silver door with a rune on it. "Yes, so behave yourself, and that's Lord Seok for you."

"Whatever..."

Lady Mila frowned at her before pushing the large door as it opened easily. I saw the shiny white floor getting lighted up by sunlight. We entered and I was the last one to enter. And I was surprised to see a huge space but a man before the table and the large window behind him at the distance. Everything is lit up so bright.

"Good morning, Lord Seok," bowed Lady Mila. Lady Juliet, Lord Hyeon, and I, just bowed.

Lord Seok was looking at us as he wore spectacles that the frames are shining gold as I adjusted my glasses to see clearly from afar. There are tall stacks of papers on each side of his desk and he was holding.... I think uh... a pen? I am not sure but possibly he is. I can't see clearly although I can see a little clear at the distance than near me because I am farsighted. We just walked toward him after his nod.

"Wohooo!!!" yelled Lady Mila and flashed beside Lord Seok and he stood up to hold the stacks of papers after she made a wind to blow them off. "Good mornin' Lord Seok!" she saluted.

"Aurelia!" scolded Lady Mila.

"What a pleasant surprise, young ladies and lords," he said with a worried smile as he held the stacks of papers.

"Good morning, uncle Seok," bowed Lord Hyeon.

And uncle? I adjusted my glasses and squinted my eyes to see clearly and I notice that Lord Seok has fangs, but his face is not as pale as Lord Hyeon. Also, his eyes are a little red. Maybe he's a vampire too.

"Good morning, Hyeon," he smiled then looked at me and Darius. "So, this must be Leonide Padine and Darius....," he hesitated after seeing Darius restrained like an animal. "Ozan."

"Oh, sorry, my lord," apologized Lady Mila and let go of Darius.

"Gaaargh!" gasped Darius as he fell on the hard floor and panting. He growled and frowned at all of us.

"Good morning, Darius," said Lord Seok to him.

He stood up and pointed at him. "What do you want from me?"

"Oh, nothing," he smiled. "It just good to see a boy like you having so much energy."

"Yes, I have enough energy to beat that ugly yellow-haired cretin!"

Lady Aurelia smiled and prepared as Darius squeezed his fist. But then, he suddenly stopped and said, "Ah, never mind. I don't want to mess around in this room and disarrange the thousands of papers that Lord Seok is working hard on because it would be rude and being rude is bad."

I am surprised as hell... I don't know that Darius is this considerate! Then I saw the eyes of Lord Seok glowing purple as he raised his spectacles and looked at Darius. I adjusted my own to see clearly... I'm getting tired of adjusting my glasses every time I want to see something important.

"What did I just say?" asked Darius confusingly as he scratched his head.

The goddesses laughed as Lord Seok said, "Thank you for understanding, Darius." Darius didn't fuss and just folded his arms as he stood beside me. "So, kindly give me their files," said Lord Seok as Lady Mila handed him the two shiny folders that she has been carrying the whole time. "Okay...," he nodded as he opened the folders and read the contents. He nodded every five pages. "Everything seems to be in order," he said as he signed somewhere among the file. "It's done." He closed it. "Leonide Padine, the God of Gravity and Darius Ozan, the God of... uh Wrath, both of you are now officially enrolled in the Divine Academy of Olympus. Congratulations," he smiled at us and I nodded so I poked Darius with my elbow so he did the same.

"Thank you, my lord," I said on behalf of the two of us because I know that Darius will not say it. Not with that look on his face as he glared at Lady Aurelia.

"It's 7:39 am," said Lord Seok as he signed other papers from the stacks of papers. "so my session with all of you is now over. However, I will meet you again, children at 9:00 am for our first day of class."

Then the dark-haired goddesses smiled. "Really?" exclaimed Lady Mila in a girlish manner. I know she's not a tomboy like her sister but... It just looked like she changed character or something.

"You will be our teacher, my lord?" asked Lady Juliet.

"Yes, so," he answered. "please wait for me at the Academy. In the meantime, I will finish my work here." He smiled as he nodded and they squealed except us boys and Lady Aurelia - who is basically one of us because she's like a tomboy but I don't know if she actually is.

"Well see you again later, my lord," bowed Lady Mila. The rest of us bowed too and we turned around to leave after he nodded.

It is when we finally left the room that the door closed by itself and we walked to where we came from when Lady Juliet said, "I can't believe that Lord Seok is gonna be our teacher!"

"I know, right?" smiled Lady Mila as they held hands while smiling in excitement.

Darius and I just looked at each other because we are surprised that these cold girls are being..... "girls".... right now.

Then Lady Aurelia goes, "What's so great about it?" while picking her nose with her pinky.

They frowned at her and Lady Mila says, "You wouldn't understand.... and stop picking your nose!"

"What?!" she reacted with a runny-nose voice. "You want me to suffocate to death?"

I never heard of a single person in the world that suffocated to death because of boogers. This is new to me or I just haven't heard about it.

"Who dies in suffocation because of boogers?" asked Lady Mila.

Darius laughs, "Aha-ahahaha!" then got knocked far away after she punched his face.

I went to him because he got knocked out cold by that single punch of Lady Mila. I grabbed his arm over my shoulder to make him stand as I said, "Damn, Darius..." Then he woke up. "Behave yourself or you won't last a day up here. This is not the Hades District that you always have known. There a lot of powerful people here than us and we-"

"These sisters are freaking crazy and strong!" he panted as we stood up and far from the arguing deities. "I feel like a human here!"

"Hey, I'm the only human here." I don't know that his spirit that I thought is unbreakable has already reached its limit so I said, "I feel like I don't have any power here either but we need to stick together to make it through. And we have new weapons now, haven't we? We will master those and I am sure we will be stronger than anyone here." I nodded at him and he nodded with his face full of bruises. "But first, we need to behave to stay here just like how Lord Hyeon does it. Do you see what he's doing? He's just standing beside Lady Juliet all the time and not doing anything. That's easy, isn't it?"

"Oh yeah... you're right."

"This is a test of your coolness Darius. A cool man doesn't lose his temper in any circumstances. Think about yourself as the next Lord Enzo." Then his eyes widened and I think my scheme is working. "Lord Enzo is the most powerful demigod and probably more powerful than the King and he acts like he doesn't care about things so it makes him look cool. Do you wanna be cool like him, Darius?"

Then he put up a face of determination using that swelling face of his that I find a little disgusting. "Of course!" he nodded.

"Consider this as your test to be the one who will be surpassing the Kings of Olympus."

"Right, right. You're right!" He nodded some more.

"You can do this Darius! We are gonna do this together!"

"YEAHHHHHH!!!" he screamed and the deities we don't know, passed by and looked at us.

"Shh!" I hushed him. "Be cool." Then he put a face of calmness and I can almost see him as a different person, considering all he does are frown and anger.

We walked to our ladies and I stood behind Lady Mila and he stood behind Lady Aurelia as they argued. And I don't know why they suddenly argued about who is stronger between Hades and Zeus. And the worst person here could be Lady Juliet because she looks amused at the sight of the sisters arguing at each other, unlike the calm Lord Hyeon.

"Hades is the rightful first King of Olympus!" pointed Lady Mila at her sister's face.

Lady Aurelia pushed down her finger and said, "Zeus was stronger than Hades so he deserves to be the King!"

Then Lady Juliet spoke to me because I'm beside them. She said, "They have had this debate for years and a thousand trials now but there has been no clear winner."

Lady Mila continued, "Well, he just became stronger because he got all the prayers after he became the King! From the start, Hades was supposed to be the King if not for the two of his stupid treacherous brothers!"

"It was out of a fair lot to decide!"

"No, it was not," disagreed Lady Mila while shaking her head. "Zeus was the one who made the lot so he knows which is which. That's why he got the one that made him the King! The next one to pick is Poseidon that is also his accomplice that's why he managed to pick the Sea and left Hades with the Underworld!"

"What do you mean? The Underworld is a cool place and I want to go there as I asked you! What's wrong with you?"

"The Underworld is cool," added Darius behind her as her support.

Then all of us got surprised but Lady Mila stirred and asked, "Really?" in a calm but curious tone.

"Yes, my lady," I added. Then they all looked at me as I looked at the side and adjusted my glasses.

"If you are lying, I'm gonna feed you to my Cerberus."

"I'm not, my lady."

She faced me and looked at me in the eyes but her face is all blurry because of my farsightedness and because of my glasses.

"What are the two of you up to?" she asked.

And I guess she refers to me and Darius so I said, "We are just behaving, my lady."

Lady Aurelia widened her eyes and looked at Darius who is behind her while her face slowly descended into a smile that has a bad idea in mind.

"Oh... Is that so, Deedee?" she asked. "Well, how about.... THIS?!!" she poked the back of his neck but he didn't folded it like he used to. "What?" She was confused as she tried to poke him again. "Well, how about.... HERE?!!" She poked his sides but he didn't even flinch. "What is going on with you, Darius?!!"

"Haha, you said my name!" laughed Darius as well as the rest of us.

She frowned as she prepared by making electricity in her fingers. I can see that Darius knows what is coming but he didn't move. Wow, I can't believe he's taking this seriously! She slowly neared her finger to his chest and I was thinking about a lot of things. What will Darius do? Is he gonna give up and get enraged? Or could this mean that I don't have to worry about him falling from Olympus and crash into the Earth like a meteorite? What's it gonna be?!!
