The God of Gravity part 2: Olympus

First Morning on Olympus

My eyes are killing me...

Damn, I'm so tired... I can see through the windows that the dawn is breaking out and I could not sleep all night because of Darius. Although we share the same room that could fit five more people, we are the only ones that have been sleeping here. Well, he's been the only one who's sleeping while I'm up all night since midnight. He's snoring so loud! And he constantly changes his position and makes rustling sound that startles me. And I can't stop thinking that I am already in Olympus, and I am sleeping inside the house of the King! So it was a restless night!

We are lying on the floor but with sleeping futons to cover us up. Darius is right beside me at my left and he is sleeping so "soundly" - more like noisily.

I sighed and I decide to rise up and explore the surroundings. I put on the glasses that were given to me after I threw away my contact lenses because they got broken after I lost the case with solution. These glasses are not my usual prescription because I am +2.5, while this is +2.25 so everything is a little blurry near me. I slowly went out of my futon so I won't wake Darius because I feel that he make trouble again when he wakes up and I don't want to be there when he does. I stood up and I still feel sleepy so I shook my head while walking to the sliding door. There are two pairs of slippers that look cozy and I am guessing that they are made out of rabbit skin and fur.

Ohh... so comfy.

I slowly slid the door open and closed it as soon as I saw the look of someone who's going to do horrible things to me.

"Get over here," she said in a calm but still terrifying voice.

Man, where did my courage go?

I opened the door while bowing as I said, "Good morning, Lady Mila." I adjusted my glasses.

She looks like she has already done her daily hygiene, she's holding two shiny folders full of papers, her eyes don't look like she just woke up, and she wears a black T-shirt and jeans. She has this usual frown on her face while facing to the right with her chin up and she's gesturing like I'm not worth for her gaze.

She says, "Next day and the following days, wake up thirty minutes before this time and wait on my door until I wake up." I sighed then she glared at me. "What's that?"

"Oh, nothing, my lady!" I reasoned. "A-a... as you wish. my lady." I smiled but I am just too tired to squeeze my cheeks to smile so I feel like I am just grinning.

She turned her head back to where she was looking. "Get yourself ready for the day, wear clothes that are for outside, and go to my sister's room. Go there before ten minutes."

"I will, my lady," I bowed and she walked away and I waited until I can't see her after she turned around the corner then sighed. Phew! She demands too much of me but I guess that it's fair because I am living in her house without paying. Plus, the King made me her assistant. I can't fail him!

I went to the bathroom that is not the hot bath so that I can get ready before ten minutes. The water feels good because it is warm and I finished in just five minutes, I think. It took me a minute or two in trying to put on casual clothing - which is just a white T-shirt and navy blue shorts that my fellow-servant that I don't know his name and we are the same age, gave me. He didn't speak but I think he is so nice. I wonder what is his power. Then I went to where Lady Mila told me to go, and I know the way to Lady Aurelia's room because he told me.

Then I heard, "No! I wanna sleep!" I can tell that it is the voice of Lady Aurelia. The door is still shut so I just waited outside but I can hear their yelling.

"We do this every day for years!" yelled Lady Mila.

For years? Wow, I don't know Lady Mila is so responsible for her sister.

"Come on!" grunted Lady Mila and I hear and feel grumbling on the floor. Is she pulling her leg or somethin'? "Leonide!" she called.

"Yes, my lady!" I answered.

"Open the door!"

So I did and saw her carrying her sister on her clouds. And I am so surprised how messy Lady Aurelia is! Her hair is jumbled all over her face, I saw a glimpse of her cheeks dripping with saliva as she opened her mouth while squinting. I closed the door and followed after them until they went into a bathroom for ladies so I waited outside. And everything is just getting weirder and weirder every second as I heard their echoing voice as they argued.

"Help me wash my back," said Lady Aurelia.

"Do it yourself," said Lady Mila.

Then Lady Aurelia groaned before saying. "I can't, I'm so tired!"

"Then would you rather have Leonide wash your back?"

"What?!!!" violently exclaimed Lady Aurelia and me.

"Are you crazy?!!" she yelled at Lady Mila.

"Then do it yourself so you can stretch your limbs," said Lady Mila. "Don't be lazy." Then I heard a growl from her sister.

I just gulped at the thought of washing a girl's back... No, no, no, no, no! Quit thinking about it! Think about mom! If she finds out that I am thinking about this she's gonna kill me! Think about her face when she becomes the beast so you can forget that dirty thought!

But she's not here on Olympus, right?

Oh... right... she's not here....

Whaaaaat?!!! That doesn't mean I can do anything I want!! I gotta behave even though she's-

They are looking at me! Oh shoot, I just realized I am slapping myself.

"You better not thinking about lewd things," growled Lady Mila as she left the bathroom.

"I am not, my lady," I reasoned while wiping my glasses with my shirt.

Then Lady Aurelia went out all dressed up with gold-themed clothes but are the same style as her sister. I put on my glasses as she smiles at me and says, "He's lying."

"What?!!" I exclaimed.

Lady Mila scoffed. "On your first day here, you already showed your true color!" She made her eyes go black but Lady Aurelia tapped her shoulder while laughing.

"I'm just kidding!" Then went to me and put her arms over my shoulders. "Leo's a good boy! Aren't you, Leo?"

Oh, she is speaking my right name now and my nickname at that. "Uhh.... yes, my lady," I said while I scratched my cheek with my finger.

"See?" she said to her.

Then Lady Mila settled down into a calm face then walked away. "Wake up your assistant Darius, Aurelia, and bring him to the Palace. That father of ours left us again. Leonide, follow behind me and behave yourself."

"Yes, my lady," I said then Lady Aurelia looked at me with a smug face.

"You owe me, Leo," she said. "I know you lied." She laughed and disappeared with a lightning flash. Then I heard her, "GOOD MORNING, DALE!!!" behind the walls.

"AAARGHH!!!" screamed Darius as I heard cracks of electricity. She electrocuted him. That's the worst way to wake up someone. I am a little glad that I ended up as an assistant to a more mature Lady Mila. My human body will not be able to withstand those volts.

I followed behind Lady Mila and we passed by our room and through the open doors, I saw a glimpse of Lady Aurelia wrestling Darius on the floor as she choked him with her arm.

"Lkeeeoo!!" he choked as he saw me. "Khhelllp..."

I just grinned nervously and said, "See ya, Darius..." because there's nothing I could do for him.

We passed by and went to the door that is located at the center of this house. And wow! There's a pond full of colorful fishes. There's a hole in the roof above it that matches the circular shape of the pond. And just where the door is, the shiny wooden floor stopped and there are racks with shoes in each cell. She grabbed black shoes and sat on the ledge and put them on.

I am confused about what to do because I don't have my things. I completely lost everything I have. I also have to let my family and friends know that I made it to Olympus but I threw away my bag (where I put it) in the middle of the forest where I don't remember where exactly it is. And I don't want to go back there.

Then she stood up and spoke to me. "Where are your things?"

"We lost them in the forest, my lady."

"Why did you lose it?"

"I have to unburden ourselves after Darius got bitten by an Abyssal Spider so-"

"What did you say? Abyssal Spiders?"

"Yes, my lady."

"So, Darius got bitten by the Broodmother?"

"Yes, my lady."

"Hmm... that explains it," she muttered. "And how did those things get to you? I locked them away in my realm."

"I don't know, my lady. We just came across them while we went into the forest."

"But why are both of you in the forest?"

What does she mean? It's obvious that we have to get to Olympus. "Uh... to get to Olympus, my lady."

Then she narrowed her eyes and sighed. "That messenger god didn't help you to get here, did he?"

"He didn't help us, my lady."

She scoffed. "I'll tell father to fire him. We don't even need him now and he doesn't do his job properly. We got phones that you humans invented and he hates them."

Oh, man. Someone lost his job because of humans and partly because of me. And gods have phones?

Then I heard panting and hurrying steps behind me. I turned around and I saw a grown-up goddess. "Good morning, Lady Aiko," greeted Lady Mila.

Lady Aiko?! The Goddess of Teleportation?!! One of the Five Seaters?!!! An Olympian?!!!! She belongs to House Hayashi too?!!!!!

"Good morning, Lady Mila," she said with a worried expression on her face as she wore her sandals. She's already dressed well like popular young grown-ups I've seen dating in malls. She wore white off-shoulders and box pants.

"You're late for a date with Hyun?" she teased her with a smile.

She got startled and lost grip of the laces of her sandals. "What? No.. I... It's... Uh... Not a.... date. Not a date... " Then she stopped trying to tie the laces and I felt something was wrong because her face turned empty while she looked at the ground.

Lady Mila went to her and sat beside her. I just made distance from them to give them space for something personal I think... but I heard their every word. I turned to look at the fishes so I was facing my back at them. Then I heard a sniff of sobbing.

"I'm sorry I didn't know," said Lady Mila. "And it's gonna be okay."

"I know we just.....," she sobbed. "we have been together only for a month but.... it still hurts."

"It's okay, You'll find a better guy than him that is your age that will love you so much. And I promise you, if he dies, I'll slap his soul."

That's a bad way of making someone feel better.

Then someone spoke, "Looking at you, the man that made you cry is a fool." I widened my eyes because I recognize that voice. I turned around and I was right as I saw Lady Aurelia dragging Darius by grabbing his hair. "If I see him, I'll beat him into dust!" he yelled as he pointed at Lady Aiko. "A man doesn't make ladies cry!"

We were all surprised. Lady Aiko stopped crying and Lady Mila frowned in confusion while Lady Aurelia smiled in anger.

"Shut up," she said before electrocuting him.

"Argh!!!" he screamed and fell twitching on the floor.

"I'm sorry about that, big-sister Aiko. Hihi... Okay, off we go!"

She burst into lightning and I heard a short scream from Darius. Then they were gone in a blink just like that.

"Who's that?" asked Lady Aiko while wiping her tears.

"Oh, just some random guy that ended up on Olympus like this guy," pointed Lady Mila at me.

I don't know what I have done wrong to her for treating me like this but I am not in a position to complain about it. I will endure her ill words if I want to become the King!

"Where are you going?" asked Lady Aiko.

"To the Palace to submit this to Lord Seok," she showed the papers she's holding. "of that guy and this guy," she pointed at me again.

I just nodded after I saw Lady Aiko smiling at me. I can't see a trace of sadness from her anymore. "I already know your name, Leo but what is the name of your other friend?" she asked.

I answered, "That was Darius Ozan, my lady." Then Lady Mila frowned at me. What's her deal?

"Nice to meet you, Leo," smiled Lady Aiko at me.

I looked to the side while bowing because she's so beautiful after she did that. "Nice to meet you too, my lady."

"I'll teleport the two of you if you want to," she said while they stood up.

"That would be great," said Lady Mila. "I want to go to Juliet's."

"Okay...," she said while her eyes glowed yellow.

"Leonide, get a pair of shoes."

I just grabbed the one that's closer to me and everything just went yellow all around us, like we're inside the sun but it doesn't feel any warmer. In an instant, we are under the cover of a canopy surrounded by black flowers.

"Well, look who's here?" said someone in a cunning tone. I was facing the black garden so I turned around and saw a redheaded god smirking at me, seated together with Lady Juliet at the same table then Lord Hyeon is standing near them. "It's the boy who defied everything!" He cackled so hard and I am the only one who feels uncomfortable.

"Good morning, Lord Narada," greeted Lady Mila and he just smirked at me as he turned his neck like an owl.
