Dealing Prince Arrogant
Chapter 7
She’s afraid to rescue the guy but Ji Hye didn’t regret it, because this is the very first time in her life to meet such a good-looking yet kindhearted person.
The guy has the face of an angel—a gentle one. He looked so handsome with his long eyeglasses, pointy nose, and thin, kissable lips.
The way he uttered her name feels like an angel singing.
She recalled the name.
His name is Ryujin, the potential Prince Charming in her life.
“Your Royal Highness, this is your schedule for today,” Jae Kyung kept on scrolling on the tablet she’s holding while following the Crown Prince. “At 1PM, you’re going to visit the officials in the White House before proceeding to the symposium. At 3PM, you’re going to COEX for a symposium in which you’ll be the guest speaker. Before you arrive in the Palace, you’ll be going to meet the committee of Western Education officials. You postponed three other appointments so you’ll be going to meet Princess Chae Rin at 7PM and have a dinner meeting with her,” she looked at Prince Yi Eul. “Princess Chae Rin is your aunt, right?”
Prince Yi Eul stopped in his tracks and looked at Jae Kyung who, by instinct, hugged the tablet she’s using. They went silent for seconds before Prince Yi Eul pinched her nose. “You’re so nosy!”
“Aw!” Jae Kyung slapped the Crown Prince’s hand which gained shock gasps from the Crown Prince’s royal maids and bodyguards… even his Royal Secretary.
Jae Kyung nursed her nose. “It hurts! You shouldn’t do that!”
Prince Yi Eul looked at his hand in shock before quirking his brow and looked at Jae Kyung. “The audacity of you slapping His Royal Highness’ hand. Bold are we, Agassi?”
“It’s a human instinct, Your Highness,” Jae Kyung pinched his arm which gained shock gasps from the Crown Prince’s royal maids, bodyguards, and his Royal Secretary as well. Prince Yi Eul yelped and slapped her hand. “See?”
“Aw! The audacity of you pinching me like that, you peasant!”
“Uh-uh, use clean, fancy words, jeonha. It’s a discriminating word.”
Prince Yi Eul’s mouth was agape in shock. “I can’t with you. Aren’t you worried that I’ll gonna punish you? I’m no ordinary Crown Prince. I’m South Korea’s last Crown Prince.”
“Hmm…” Jae Kyung hummed for seconds before looking back at the Crown Prince. “Nope. You can’t do that. You can’t find any personal assistant like me who can deal with you, Your Highness.”
Everyone was anticipating the Crown Prince’s “bad” response but they’re actually quite shocked that Prince Yi Eul just sighed as he shook his head. “I might change my mind about helping you with your book.”
“Hey, Your Highness! That’s absurd! You’re the one who offered that so I agreed to be your personal assistant! You can’t take that back! You can’t use your Uno reverse card at me!” Jae Kyung said as she crossed her arms.
“Hey, Kim Jae Kyung, what’s with your—”
They got interrupted by Secretary Jeong clearing his throat. “Uh, I’m sorry to interrupt Your Highness but I guess it’s time for you to go. The Prime Minister is waiting for you as well.”
“Ah, right. Let’s go,” Prince Yi Eul was about to walk ahead when he looked back at Jae Kyung and slightly pointed at Jae Kyung. “You. Change your clothes.”
Jae Kyung looked at her clothes. She’s wearing a World Map Printed Shirt, black slacks, and a J Handmade Sleeve Lettering Embroidery Coat from Jucy Judy that she received from Mrs. Jung during her birthday. “What’s wrong with my clothes? It’s decent.”
“That fashion sense screams Journalist,” Prince Yi Eul responded.
“I am a JOURNALIST, Your Highness,” Jae Kyung emphasized the journalist as she said those words.
“Yes, you are but you’re working as my assistant so change,” before Jae Kyung could disagree, Prince Yi Eul walked ahead of her and now talking to Secretary Jeong.
Jae Kyung couldn’t help but groan. “Man, do I have to?”
“Kim Jae Kyung-ssi,” Jae Kyung turned her head towards Prince Yi Eul’s maid as the woman bowed her head towards the former. “His Highness already told us about what you’ll be going to wear. Please follow us.”
Jae Kyung sighed as she bowed as well. As if I have a choice. “Thank you.”
The maids brought her to the guest room and gave her a set of clothes she’s going to wear. It’s still well-packed in a hanger and smelled so brand new.
And smelled so rich as well.
Uh, what a lucky life this arrogant of a prince has.
“This is the clothes His Royal Highness wants you to wear, Agassi.”
Jae Kyung looked at the dress she’s holding and nodded. “Okay. Thank you.”
“Hmm, not bad. You look really, really decent,” Prince Yi Eul smirked as Jae Kyung cringed at what she’s wearing. She’s wearing a White Puffed Sleeve Top and Black High-Waisted Pants and black shoes from Roger Vivier. Her hair with big curls on the ends that was fixed by the Crown Prince’s personal hairdresser falls gracefully as she walks.
Yeah, she felt like she kinda looked like Ko Moon Young in Saikojiman Gwaenchana.
Jae Kyung couldn’t help but mentally roll her eyes. She couldn’t show her attitude since they’re in the house of Princess Chae Rin.
Yes, the house of the Crown Prince’s aunt.
“Your Highness, do I really have to go with you?” Jae Kyung almost threw a whine as soon as they entered the house premises.
Yes, she already entered Gokbongyung Palace but the Crown Prince’s house and his aunt Princess's house are much huge and fancier.
Prince Yi Eul frowned. “Do you really have to ask that again and again, Kim Jae Kyung? You’re my personal assistant so you must be in the same place as I do.”
“Yes, I know that Your Highness but this is kind of you know, awkward?”
Prince Yi Eul rolled his eyes and secretly nudged Jae Kyung’s arm to walk. Jae Kyung mentally sulked as she walked side by side with Prince Yi Eul.
As soon as they entered Princess Chae Rin’s house, the Royal servant waiting for them on the door announced their arrival. “The Crown Prince Yi Eul is here, Goongju-mama.”
“Let him come in,” they heard a woman’s voice inside.
“Ye, goongju-mama,” the royal servants bowed at them before opening the door.
As soon as they went inside, the woman in jjeokin meori (a hairstyle for married princesses) and purple dangui (a traditional Korean princess’ clothes) stood up and bowed to them in which the Crown Prince also responded as well. “Jeo bojalgeoseobsneun jibe osin geoseul hwanyeonghabnida, jeonha.” (*Welcome to my humble home, Your Highness.)
Prince Yi Eul bowed at her in response. “Jeonyeok siksae chodaehae juseokseo kamsahamnida, googju-mama.” (*Thank you for inviting me for dinner, Your Highness.)
She awkwardly bowed at the Princess as well. As soon as Prince Yi Eul raised his head up, she raised her head as well.
“Oraenmanida, jeonha,” both Prince Yi Eul and Jae Kyung settled their gaze on the guy beside the Princess.
Jae Kyung gasped and slightly pointed at the guy with her trembling index finger. “Y-You… that guy from the alley!”
The guy smiled at her. “We met again, Kim Jae Kyung-ssi. I’m Prince Yi Ryeo.”
