Jae Kyung couldn’t contain her giggles while reading her readers’ comments on her novel in FictionPad which is “Dealing Prince Arrogant”. She felt her heart warm and happy while reading their comments, sending their love to her as well as the rising fame of the said novel on the platform.
She sighed in satisfaction. “I never thought I’ll receive so much love like this,” she giggled once again as she replied to one of her readers.
- Snow-nim, I wonder if I’ll be able to meet my own Prince Charming soon
1 reply from creator Snow Moon: You’ll be. He might be just around you... or just by your side.
Prince Yi Eul kept his stare at Jae Kyung who’s now looking at him dumbly. They’re now currently inside the Crown Prince’s study room and doing some document reading. It took Prince Yi Eul five days to recover from what happened after he finally got back on track.
“Seriously, Kim Jae Kyung.”
“What?” Jae Kyung asked as she blinked once.
“Are you wearing rags again?” Prince Yi Eul gestured his hands on the latter’s clothes.
“Hey, it’s not rag! This is my favorite blouse and it’s kind of expensive! I even bought this from Myeongdong,” she fired back and crossed her arms. “And I’m comfortable wearing this than those Gucci, Balenciaga, Chanel, Dior, or any other luxurious brands you made me wear over the past weeks—which was actually bought by yours.”
“For someone who works under me, the Crown Prince, you do really have the audacity to talk back to me.”
“I’m just being honest here and I’m comfortable in what I’m wearing,” Jae Kyung said and she even opened her arms to prove her point.
“You are my assistant and you’re always by my side so you can just at least wear something decent and sophisticated.”
“What I wear doesn’t really lessen my capabilities as your assistant, Your Highness,” Jae Kyung said in a straight face. “I wake up early and go straight here to serve you.”
Prince Yi Eul didn’t actually expect that answer coming but he still managed to rebut. “Kim Jae Kyung, you’re not just an employee nor some celebrities’ personal assistant. You are the Crown Prince of South Korea’s personal assistant.”
Too tired to argue with Prince Yi Eul, she sighed and waved her hand. “Okay, fine. Next time, Your Highness.”
Do Wan cleared his throat as he murmured. “You bicker like a married couple.”
Both Jae Kyung and Prince Yi Eul looked at Do Wan. “What did you just say?”
“Jeonha, Chae Rin-gongjuwa wangjangnim Yi Ryeoga chajawatsseumnida~”
“I didn’t expect her visiting…” Prince Yi Eul murmured.
The three of them looked at the door and at the flash of lightning, Do Wan went back on his post (which is at the back of Prince Yi Eul) and Jae Kyung went to Prince Yi Eul’s side.
“Jeonhawa Wangjanimreul deurooge haseyo,” Prince Yi Eul responded. (*Let Her Highness and His Highness come in.)
“Ye, jeonha,” as soon as the royal servants opened the door, Princess Chae Rin and Prince Yi Ryeo went inside with some of their bodyguards behind them.
“Joeun achimimnida, jeonha,” Princess Chae Rin bowed as well as her son, Prince Yi Ryeo. (*Good morning, Your Royal Highness.)
“Joeun achimimnida, gongjumama,” Prince Yi Eul greeted as he bowed.
Jae Kyung’s eyes settled on Prince Yi Ryeo and the latter mouthed ‘Good morning, Jae Kyung-ssi’ and grinned at her. Jae Kyung couldn’t help but smile at the small gesture that the other prince is showing her. She also responded quietly that she didn’t even notice that Prince Yi Eul is already side-eyeing her.
Prince Yi Eul gestured the seat to her aunt and his cousin and they simultaneously sat down. Jae Kyung and Do Wan just stayed in their posts.
“It’s a surprise that you visited me, gongju-mama. You should’ve informed me so I could prepare your favorite tea and food as well,” Prince Yi Eul said.
Princess Chae Rin just smiled and shook her head. “Nah, don’t be, jeonha. We just passed by since I’ll be going to my friend as well. You know the Prime Minister’s wife, right? We’ve been classmates and college and became good friends. She just arrived today so I want to pay her a visit. But before going so, I visited you first to check up on you and to give you some energy replenish and tea since you’ve been sick for three days,” she, then, signaled her guards to put her gifts on the Crown Prince’s center table of his study table’s mini living room.
“You don’t have to bother, mama. And I heard from my assistant that you went to visit me when they took me to the hospital but I was unconscious the whole night so I wasn’t able to talk to you. I apologize,” Prince Yi Eul said as he bowed.
Princess Chae Rin just waved her hand in dismissal. “Aigoo, you don’t have to apologize, jeonha. In fact, I should be the one to apologize for not securing my whole place that you were put into danger. The security force in my household seemed weak that some outsiders gained access to enter my house and harm you. I’m so thankful that you are okay now.”
“I’m really okay now, mama. You don’t really have to worry,” Prince Yi Eul smiled at her. “I actually sent some of my bodyguards to your residence to ensure Her Highness’ safety as well.”
“Eh? Your bodyguards?”
“Didn’t Ryeo tell you about it?” Prince Yi Eul slightly gestured his hand at Ryeo.
“I actually told mama about it, jeonha. Maybe she forgot about it,” when he felt the princess’ gaze on him, Prince Yi Ryeo looked at his mom. “Ye, eomma-mama. Seja-jeonha sent his bodyguards in addition to our residence’s security system. I’m really thankful that His Highness did that since what happened to him is really alarming and I’m also afraid that, that outsider will harm us as well.”
“O-Oh,” Princess Chae Rin muttered. She blinked so many times and looked at Prince Yi Eul once again and bowed. “I thank you so much for doing so, Your Highness. You don’t actually have to do that because your safety comes first.”
“Your safety is as well important to me, Your Highness. Besides, grandma—Her Majesty, you’re the only relative that I ever have here so I prioritize your safety as well.”
“Oh, thank you so much my dear Highness…”
“Of course, Your Highness.”
Jae Kyung couldn’t help but frown as she kept on watching and listening to their conversation.
“Jae Kyung-ssi.”
Jae Kyung turned her head to Do Wan who’s now walking side by side with her. They’re currently escorting Prince Yi Eul to a seminar with the different educational institutions. The Crown Prince is the guest speaker of the said seminar so of course, he’s going to attend. Secretary Jeong actually volunteered to proxy him since, of course, after the two attempts of assassination, the Royal Secretary wants to ensure the Crown Prince’s safety but of course, the Crown Prince is stubborn as ever so he declined and decided to give a speech personally.
“You seemed not really into yourself. You’ve been like that after the conversation between Prince Yi Eul and Princess Chae Rin. Are you okay?” Do Wan asked out of concern.
Jae Kyung nodded and smiled at him. “Yes, I’m okay. Don’t worry. I was just thinking about something.”
“Mind telling me about it? Don’t worry, you can rely on me.”
She gave him a look. “You’ll not be going to tell anyone about it? Even if the Crown Prince thought he kind of involved on this though.”
“Yes,” Do Wan answered with all seriousness that made Jae Kyung convinced.
Jae Kyung couldn’t help but sigh. “I don’t know how to start this because I’m not really sure if I just saw it or I’m just over-analyzing things. It’s about the princess…”
“What about it?”
“She seemed mad over someone… and that someone is her beloved nephew, the Crown Prince himself.”
