6. Answer me
Samantha's P.O.V:
After getting a huge lecture from my brother during the car ride home. Him telling me why I needed to stay away from Marcus. That one day he would break my heart and that he did not want that to happen. Kind of made me want Marcus a little bit more.
Though I was still a little pissed at him for leaving me alone for almost two hours in his library. I still wanted to give him another chance. A chance to make up for what he did. Though I couldn't blame him because it wasn't his fault but his parents. I knew in my gut that something wasn't going to go as plan today when I saw his home.
We were parked in the drive for almost an hour now waiting on Julius to finish ranting but no matter how many times I apologised he kept going. I was becoming impatient, trying to hint to him that I wanted to go inside. Each time I opened his car door his voice o louder.
Twenty minutes later and he was done ranting, letting out a long sigh before jumping out his vehicle. I couldn't bare to hear another word from anyone at this moment. My stomach was rumbling and if I wasn't getting a three hour and twenty minutes worth of rant out I would of been eating by now.
All I could think about was food. I forgot I missed breakfast and lunch today but there was no way I was gonna miss out on dinner. I quickly head to the kitchen to make me a sandwich before heading to my bathroom to take a bath. A much needed bath after the stress I had.
"Hey sis, I'm heading out. Mum, dad and I won't be home tonight so you got the place to yourself. Lock up, No boy's and definitely no party!" Julius muttered before taking off for the night. Thank god, I whispered to myself.
This day was very eventful and at this moment my bath tub was calling my name. As I got my clothes ready to have a relaxing bath I decided to try get a hold of Marcus. My phone had been very very quiet today and I thought that he would of messaged me by now. Especially when I never got to say goodbye.
*"The person you tried to call could not reach your call. Please leave a detail message. BEEP"*
I had left a dozen text messages and a few voice calls but still nothing. It has been over an hour now and still no reply or call back. Soon my mind started to form a story that something bad has happened to him that's why he's not calling me back. I tried so hard to break those thoughts but my gut was telling me to see him.
My hands were shaking, maybe something bad has happened to him. I threw on some blue jeans, white chucks and a white long sleeve before throwing on my black puffer jacket. The time on my phone read 5.30PM and the last bus out from Glenwood springs to White River National forest was at 7.10PM.
I saw the sign as we drove out from Marcus's property that he lived in White River. I wasn't sure where I was when I arrived so I mad sure I remember each road and corner we took on my way home. There was no way I would be able to make the bus in time to get to his place and the other only way of getting there is to drive my mothers car that she had parked in our garage.
I dreamed of driving my mothers red dodge charger since the day she bought it. So I knew if I took it for a spin she would kill me. Since she bought it, she never actually drove it. So there was no harm on taking it but there was one problem. I don't know how to drive. Like at all.
I wouldn't even know how to activate the lights. I stood in front of the vehicle for a bit trying to decide what I was going to do. I even wrote a letter to Marcus just in case I missed the bus. Should I take my dream car or run for the bus? I questioned myself. I was running out of time and I needed to make up my mind quick.
So I choose to take my mothers car. I placed the letter on the passengers seat before buckling on my seat belt. It took me a while to figure how to start the engine but I finally got it going. I pressing almost every button trying to figure out which button was which and also stepped on every pedal to see which one was which.
Radio was blurring pussycats before I figured out where the volume was. The joy stick was a turning nob and this little button was the hand break. It took me about five minutes to finally reverse out my mothers garage and so far so good.
Adrenaline kicked in once I put my foot down slowly on the gas pedal. Next thing you know I was off. I kind of jerked the car a few times but I finally got the hang of driving. I just hope I don't get pulled over by a police officer.
Thirty minuets in to driving, singing act a fool from DMX on repeat. My eye sight started to get a little blurry. I didn't realise how draining it was to drive. I felt sorry for truckers who had to drive every day for hours. My bum was hurting just thinking about it. Two hours in, almost at Marcus's place. I begun yawning every three seconds. I don't know how I was going to make it back driving. Especially feeling my eyes grow heavy and tired.
Thank f**k that I finally arrived. I was stopped at the border from two older men earlier but they let me pass because the seen me here earlier. I parked my mothers car at the end of the drive as I walked up thinking what to say and why I was here.
I was taping the letter in my hand, mumbling. When I heard a loud commotion going on. As I got closer I could hear Marcus telling someone this isn't the right time. Next thing you know I can hear my brother yelling. What the hell is going I ran up to get a closer look. I spotted Julius's car near by and hid behind it.
Suddenly I saw Marcus transform into a wolf then minutes later Julius. My jaw dropped and my body started shaking. "My, my brother is a wolf!" I stuttered. "Marcus is a wolf also?" I muttered before dropping to my knees and blacking out.
When I awoke from fainting I ran for my life back to my mother's car. I ran so fast that I dropped Marcus's letter on the ground. I was to scared to pick it up just in case they kill me. I was so terrified that I kept thinking they were gonna kill me. I couldn't trust anyone, especially my brother. Especially hiding what he really was, a beast.
