5. Secrets
Marcus P.O.V:
"What were you thinking bringing her here to our home Marcus Stephen Black! She's a human! you know what would happen If one of us or you wolf out in front of her!" My mother yelled as I watched her pace up and down throwing her hands. I had never seen my mother so pissed before. Once she used my full name there was no way an apology would work.
Though my father was being awfully quiet I could tell by the expression on his face that he wanted to punish me severally. Us wolves have a nasty temper but you don't want to get on my fathers bad side. Especially when he's the alpha to the midnight crescent pack.
Our pack is one of the strongest pack. Whenever we were called to help another alpha and there pack we were the ones that got the job done. So finding allies for us was never a probably, even though my father knew how to lead as well but soon the pack would be mine.
In a week I turn eighteen which also is the day I receive my tittle and my father steps down. "HEY! ARE YOU BLOODY LISTENING MARCUS!?" My mother growls loudly snapping me out of day dreaming. We have been in this office for almost two hours and all I could think about at this moment is Samantha who's probably bored out her mind waiting for me.
"Yes, Mum!" I snapped. "Don't you dear use that tone with me Mr Black! Do you remember why we don't allow humans here Marcus or would you like me to re-fresh your memory?" My mother rants on. To be honest I just wanted this meeting to hurry up so I could spend the rest of the day.
"Mother, I know why we don't allow humans here but I really like her" I replied. She then rolls her eyes. "Marcus please! your joking right, tell me your joking! Is she your mate?" she questions. Deep down I feel she's my mate. Every time I speak to her my wolf howls. From that day I had gotten her from her classroom my wolfs howls grew louder. Sometimes unbearable to focus. I need to be with her, I need to protect her. Though we haven't imprinted I still feel she's mine.
I felt something for her when Julius showed me a photo of her about a month ago. He never mentioned her before he joined our pack two years ago but that day he did. Though he never mentioned her name, he spoke very highly of her. Since then I have kept a photo of her on my phone.
"Not yet but maybe she is mum!" I replied. She rolls her eyes again before storming out of my dads office. I go to stand up to walk out as well before my father spoke. "Where you think your going Marcus?" he said firmly. "Sit back down" he ordered.
"Now your mother is upset and it is best you stay clear from her but she is right Marcus you know the rules! I order you to stay clear from her!". Those single last words brought tears to my eyes. I wish my parents could feel the pain I'm feeling.
I nod as I get up and leave. The first thing I did was run to the library to find Samantha. What the f**k where could she have gone. I went around the whole house looking for her until Janice one of the pack members say "If your looking for your fragile friend, she's at the end of our drive!!" before heading back inside.
As I approached the end of our drive way I watched her leave in Julius's silver Jeep. f**k! what have I done. She probably hates me right now. Walking back with my arms on my head. My wolf starts howling but this time he's sad. Sad that she left and never got to say goodbye.
I took off my clothing before shifting into my wolf and taking off through the woods. I had been running for almost two hours trying to let off steam but at this point I felt nothing but pain. As if my heart had shattered in to pieces.
Once I arrived at the cave that use to go to when I was young. Where my parents first meet. I laid down next to the water. It was sparkling light blue with a hint of green. It was a very peaceful place and whenever it got hot I always came here to swim.
Only a few people knew where this spot is but no one had visited this area since I was born. I think it is mainly the reason why I love coming here. Having that space from the pack, especially when my father was out of town doing business and he left me in charge of the pack.
I never knew how much hard work it was being an alpha but as I learned over the years things have gotten a little easier. A few's had passed when my father mind link me to hurry up and get home for dinner. I honestly didn't want to leave but my stomach had been rumbling for a while because I hadn't eaten all day.
I took my time arriving home but as I approached the porch, there stood Julius. "What do you think your doing Marcus?" he questioned with anger in his tone. "Leave it alone Julius, I'm honestly not in the mood right now!" I snapped. Julius begun pushing me, still asking why I was with his sister. Until I snapped forcing me to wolf out. All I wanted to do was rip his head off his shoulders but I couldn't do that to my best friend. Especially to the brother of a girl I like.
Julius shifted in to his wolf getting ready to fight me. My eyes begun to flicker red until my father growled loud forcing Julius and I to bow our heads to him. "ENOUGH! NOW SHIFT AND HEAD INSIDE FOR DINNER!" He ordered in his alpha tone.
Julius and I shift back before heading inside for dinner. Once I finished with dinner I headed upstairs to my bedroom to take a shower. When I entered my room there was my clothes sitting on the bed that I had taken off before I shifted. My mother must of placed it there while I was gone.
*DING*
I had forgotten all about my phone. I had forgotten to apologise to Samantha about earlier today. I took a quick shower before opening up my phone to read all the missed calls and messages from Samantha. There had to be about five voice messages left on my phone and as I cuddled under my blanket I listened to each voicemail she left.
Each voice call I heard tore my heart a little more. I wish I could tell her my secret. Heck! I wish I could be with her but each second that passed by, thinking of her. A tear drop would fall from my eyes.
