Chapter Four

4. Location Well, I thought when we arrived at our destination. We had been driving for almost two hours when we arrived at this massive cabin home in the middle of a forest. I was a bit concerned about why we were here. The house looked like it was a five-story house. It was painted grey with a white veranda surrounding the whole outside of this home. Window shutters were black and the garden was neat almost perfect. "Ah! Are we still fishing?" I ask slowly taking off my seat belt. He laughed "Of course but there are a few things I got to get from my room". My jaw dropped to the floor. "Wow this is your house?" I exclaimed. He nodded, then giggled. "How many people live here?" I questioned as we jumped out of the vehicle. "Well, there's over a thousand of us living on this land but only 25 who live inside. Mainly couples but my father and mothers closet friends also have a room". He replied as my jaw dropped even lower. He wasn't wrong about the number of people I saw sitting outside. It had been about fourteen adults and ten children. We approached the veranda when someone asked Marcus why I was here that I am not welcome here. Suddenly I could feel all eyes on me. I turn to head back to the car when Marcus grabbed my arm pulling me close to him. "I said she could be here and that's final!" he growled, causing everyone to lower their head. I tried wiggling out from his hands but his grip got tighter. Some glared at me with anger and some had an awkward smile upon their face. I have never felt so unwelcome before. We finally got inside and the first thing I saw was a massive staircase going to each level in the house. It was as if I was at Hogwarts except the stairs weren't moving side to side. Marcus quickly showed me around his home before taking me to their library. It was massive, nothing like our library at school. There were four large glass cabinets filled with books that looked old and about eighty to a hundred rows from the bottom to the top filled with books. Then I saw the twilight books on the fourth shelf. "May I?" I asked Marcus before climbing up the ladder to grab the book twilight new moon. I loved watching twilight to the point I knew it word from word but did not exactly read all the books. I smiled as I read the cover before getting interrupted by Marcus coughing. "You can have that book if you like?" Marcus smiled with a wink. "Are you sure?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. He nodded before giving me the entire twilight set. I couldn't help but fling my arms over his neck before planting a kiss onto his cheek. I pulled back after realizing what I had done. "Sorry I don't," I said shyly before I heard him begin to laugh. My cheeks started to feel hot. Suddenly, he laughed a little louder. Whilst rubbing the back of his neck. "I must say, it was a bit of shock but I can't say I didn't enjoy it" he muttered. I too started to laugh with him. Then suddenly, a loud growl was heard from behind me. "MARCUS!" older women shouted. His eyes grew wide then his gaze turned to see where that sound was coming from before I did the same. Standing at the entrance of the door was a lady dressed in black with deep blue eyes just like Marcus and she also had long black wavy hair that went down past her bottom. She was tall and fair like Marcus but the man that stood next to her wearing a black suit was even taller. I couldn't believe how tall he was. It looked like they both had just gotten home from a funeral. "MUM! DAD! I thought you weren't due back until tomorrow afternoon?" he questioned. That's your parents I thought to myself. Even though I could have guessed it but most of the people living here had a few similar facial features as Marcus. "In my office now!" he growled before they both turned and left. "Sorry Sam, Is it OK if you wait here while I talk with my father?" he questioned. I nodded before taking a seat on one of the couches nearby and begin reading the twilight books. He smiled and muttered "I will be right back OK!" then left. I felt so uncomfortable as I tried so hard to read this book but no matter how hard I tried to concentrate on each word my vision would become a bit blurry. I checked the time on my phone to see I had been sitting here irritated for almost an hour. At this point, all I wanted to do was go home. Marcus was still with his parents but I no longer wanted to stay. I just didn't feel comfortable knowing no one wanted me here. I tried to call my parents to pick me up but no one was answering and there was no way I wanted to contact Julius. Another hour had passed and I was still sitting here like an i***t. Did this ass-hole forget about me as I glare out the window? "f**k it!" I snapped before dialling my parent's number again but yet again no damn answer. What the actual why isn't anyone picking up. What happens if I end up in a car accident I thought to myself. There was only one person I knew who would pick me in a heartbeat. I swallow my pride as I dial Julius's number. He answers "What's up loser?". "Ah hey, bro" I replied as nerves begun to hit. I took another deep breath before asking if he could pick me up right now. "Yeah sure! Where about's are you?" he questioned. Then it suddenly hit me. I have no clue where exactly where I am and I couldn't ask anyone where I am because of the looks I received as I arrived. "Ah!" I said hesitantly. I couldn't tell him exactly where I was so I told him in a forest about two drive away from our place. His voice grew louder. "WHAT! YOU ARE WHERE SAMANTHA!?" He snapped. His anger for me grew. "I don't know the exact location but please don't be mad!" I paused before taking another deep breath. "I'm at Marcus's house" I mumbled. I thought he was angry but by the sound of his voice, I could tell he was pissed off as he began cursing at me. "WHAT THE f**k DID I TELL YOU SAM! STAY THE f**k AWAY FROM MARCUS!" He yelled. "WAIT FOR ME OUTSIDE" He shouted. Suddenly the phone went silent. I crossed the line. I knew this was a bad idea calling him but I didn't want to be here. I go to wait for him outside and thought I wanted to wait on the porch. People didn't want me to. So I ended up walking down the drive. His driveway was so long it felt like I was walking forever then I finally reached the end of the driveway. I sat on the grass and waited until Julius arrived.
