Lily's POV
I woke up feeling very startled. I don't even remember falling asleep. I just remember crying, and I mean, crying a lot. I felt slightly embarrassed when I realized I probably cried myself asleep. Lucky for me, I was alone, and no one had to know about this. It would just give everyone even more reason to worry about me.
I heard the sound of a subtle heartbeat and quickly realized I wasn't alone. I slowly looked up to see Myles staring at me from an oversized leather armchair. It instantly made me jump. "You scared the crap out of me."
He smiled at me, but it didn't reach his eyes. Something was bothering him.
