Maureen's POV
After i left Amber with Brody, i went back to my fathers room. I never left his side for the next forty-eight hours. My mother had to step out a few times to get some air. Whatever they talked about when i stepped out with Amber has caused a lot of tension between them. I didn't dare ask what it was about, mostly because i could probably guess.
I know my father being alive has been quite the shock, and it would take some adjusting. I knew things were rocky between them before my mother ended up getting taken. I had a feeling that those feelings didn't just go away because they were reunited after not being together for so long.
