The Lost One

Chapter 8

Vanessa Pov:

When I was feeling less groggy and the twins had finished planning our vacation. Well it really wasn't a vacation but at this point why the hell not? We started to try to sneak out the mansion without Akela's mate seeing me. They wouldn't tell me where we were going and all I could hope for was the place we were heading to was gonna be sunny and got a beach. Palm trees and all please! The past day or two have been nothing but stress and more stress, I want to relax and just be me. I want to go back to classes and forget this whole mate thing happened, I haven't prepared for an extended time away from school so I'll need to contact my professors right away. Maybe they will let me do online work until I can get back, usually they work with me if its a family issue.

When we finally made it out they lead me to a black SUV that was waiting for us at the base of the drive way, yes use a big black car parked in front of the house. Way to be not suspicious. That was sarcasm if you missed it. I rolled my eyes and quickly got into the back and started to scoot to the other window seat so I would have space to myself when I was stopped because Dimitri opened the other door and slid in and Alexi shut the door i just came in from sitting in the other window seat. They stuck me in the middle. Those f*****g assholes.

I crossed my arms and just stared straight out the windshield and decided to not acknowledge either of them and to be silent this entire car ride. Of course neither of them liked that so they decided to attempt at getting me to talk with them or even to just look at them. Alexi was the one to start off, "Brother I think our little mate is upset with us." I didn't give any reaction to him and so Dimitri continued on, " I think you are right. We need to fix this. "

Before I could realize what was happening the little room that I did have was gone, they scooted close to me at the same time so I was touching both of them. Dimitri then leaned into my left ear and whispered, " You know my Сердце  we don't like you not speaking with us. We need to get to know each other better, how about we play a game?" My body shivered. The twins chuckled. Alexi whispered in my left ear, " Are you cold my Цветок ? I like my brother's suggestion and we could keep you warm in our arms while we play."

I growled in frustration. These two were playing dirty and they knew it, but I still held out. I wasn't going to say a word to them, they weren't gonna get their way just because they whisper seductively in my ears. Dimitri nibbles my ear and I inhale, Alexi whispers in my ear again, " How about 20 questions. You are familiar with this game , yes ?"

Dimitri continues to nibble my ear, occasionally my neck and every once in awhile will chuckle at my reaction. Alexi whispers in my ear about different games we can play to get to know each other better and each one gets dirtier and dirtier. When I think I just can't take it anymore we finally get to the airport, I felt my body relax and the twins notice so they chuckle. Alexi winks at me and Dimitri whispers before getting out of the car, " Don't be so relived my mate we will continue this conversation later." I glared at him in response.

He just chuckled at me and shut the door, I scoot my self over to he drivers side and get out of the SUV. The car was parked on the tarmac next to the jet, our pilot and flight attendant are standing next to the stairs that lead up to the entrance of the plane. The twins were suddenly on either side of me and I rolled my eyes at their need to always be right next to me. We headed up the stairs and I walked to the couch there and waited for the plane to take off, the twins were backing to whispering in my ear and nibbling. I lasted maybe 10 minutes before finally losing it. " OK Fine!! I'll talk to you! Now knock it off!!"

They both laugh and in Russian Dimitri spoke to Alexi, "Я думала, она потеряет его в машине. Она длилась дольше, чем я думала, " (I thought she was gonna lose it in the car. She lasted longer then I would have thought) Alexi laughed and responded. Да, она упрямый" (Yes she is a stubborn one.)

I groan and glared at both of them, " If your gonna talk around me speak in English or German! I don't speak Russian!" They grinned and for the next half hour spoke only in Russian. The plane took off finally, I'm not sure what took them so long. We were finally on our way to our destination.. wherever the hell it is. When we where steady in the air I got up from the couch to go to the bar, I needed a drink. Before I could touch anything Alexi was right there behind the bar, I threw my hands up in the air frustrated with them. " I need space boys!! Personal space! Ever heard of it? Ya know personal bubble !"

With a grin Alexi says," You are very easy to rile up my Цветок " I just groaned and covered my eyes with my hand, " Neverminded, forget it." I walked to a chair on the opposite side of the plane and leaned my head on the window. Maybe I can fall asleep and just sleep the flight away, but knowing the twins they wouldn't let me do that. I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.

There was a little girl laughing and squealing and a man spinning her around by her hands. They were both giggling and laughing together, there was a small whine and I look down and in my arms is a baby. He looked only a couple months old and barely an hair on his small head, I started to rock him and he fell back asleep. I looked up to the man and young girl and saw that the young girl was running towards me. " Momma! Momma! Daddy was spinning me around and it was so much fun ! " I chuckle and nod, " I saw that, it looked fun " she smiled at me and ran off while the man came closer to me and sat next to me on the grass. He smiles at me and looks down into my arms, "How is our young man ?" I giggle and shook my head. " He's fine just napping right now ." I look around for the little girl and don't see her, I felt my self panic and looked to the man beside me. " Where did Ashley go?" He scanned the area and I could see him begin to grow worried, he stood up and called for her. Before we could do anything more we heard our little girl giggle and I turned around behind me and see her with a man. I gasp when I realize its Akela. The man beside me frowns, " What is he doing here? " I shake my head and he starts to walk over to Akela and Ashley, when gets to them he gently moves Ashley in my direction and she starts running towards me. She's smiling when she reaches me and has a small daisy in her hand, " Here momma this is from that man, he said to give it to you. " I give her a strained smile and take it from her, " Thank you lovebug it's beautiful, but what did we say about talking to strangers."

Her smile disappears and she frowns, "I'm sorry momma but he looked really familiar. "

Before I could respond the sign begins to change. From something that seems normal to something from a horror movie...something that I wished I would have never seen.

I was standing in a kitchen I don't recognize with someone holding me against them and the same man from before but older and a teenage girl and boy. They were being held against their will, either tied up and some one else holding them. They were all crying and screaming at me, and I felt weak. I wasn't struggling like I knew I should have been I was just tired.

The man was calling for me I think, "Violet ! Violet stay with us ! Don't you close your eyes!"

Everything started to disappear and I kept hearing the man's voice calling for Violet. I felt someone shaking me and Violet turned into Vanessa and I opened my eyes to see the twins hanging over me with worried faces. I frowned at them wondering what was wrong, my face felt wet and I put my hand up to my face. I was crying... why was I crying??

Dimitri was the first to break the silence, " Vanessa... are you ok ? You were crying and we couldn't wake you up. " I nodded my head and wiping my face getting rid of the tears. " I'm fine.. I just think I was dreaming of a memory. It started out with a man with a little girl and a baby, then it turned into this sick scene of them crying and yelling at me and them struggling to get to me. " I looked at the ground trying to think of what the memories could mean. I knew the second scene was of when I probably died but the first? Akela was there towards the end of it with the little girl. I called her Ashley.. she she must be his mate... meaning she was my daughter. Wait there was a baby there... I had a son?

I felt a headache start and I wince and touch my head, I hate not knowing anything about my past. Its like a piece of me is missing, but even if I were to remember why would I need those memories? I'm doing just fine without them. Until I met Akela and the twins I didn't even think twice about them. Alexi wrapped his arms around me and whispered to me until I was finally able to fall back asleep and this time there were no dreams.
