The Lost One

Everything was dark... until there were the visions. Visions of people I didn't recognize at all, there was children giggling. The scene changed.. and then there were two women singing in a car. Suddenly, there was a man in a tux smiling at me with a grin on his face. When I started having a tingly feeling in my body, the images went away completely and it was just the darkness again. When I finally could open my eyes I sat up and looked around the room, it was dark but I could make out every detail in the room. I was on a silver table,  in the middle of what looked like the morgue?  Why was I here? Am I dead? My eyes stopped on a man standing in the corner of the room, I couldn't see his face because of his hood. My eyes grew wide, and I felt my breath quicken, who the hell is he? He walked towards me and I sat very still.Afraid that if I moved an inch he would pounce. When he was a foot away he stopped,           " Good evening Violet, I'm glad you mad it back to the world of the living." He chuckled like he made some funny joke. I wasn't amused. He had a slight accent but I wasn't sure where he was from." I'm sorry to break it to you like this my Tochter ,  but you died. I have brought you back  but not as you were. You have transformed into something better. Something Stronger than the human race. You are now a child of night, a child of blood. You are a vampire."  I was speechless I wasn't sure what to say, I wanted to believe he was crazy but I just woke up in a morgue with no clothing and not knowing my name. " Who am I? Violet is my name? How do you know me?" He seemed to be silent. He c****d his head to the side, "Interesting, your mind must be blocking your memory because of your violent death. How interesting..." I felt my self panic at the words violent death.  " How did I die?" I questioned , he was silent once again, before finally speaking, " I'm not sure that is wise to tell you my Tochter."  I decided to ask something else since he obviously wasn't going to tell me. " What do I do?" he nodded and started slowly pacing in front of me. " I will show you how to control your thirst.When I think you have it under control I will let you go by yourself into our cruel world. I will check in on you every once in a while. When I have need of you I will summon you home, otherwise you will be free to live your life. " He took something out of his pocket and handed it to me. I took it from him and looked at it, it was a ring. It was silver with vines as a design on the band, leading to a singe stone. it was a dark blue oval stone, it took my breath away. It was beautiful. I looked back up at him  with a confused look on my face. " What is this for?"  "My dear Tochter  it is for you to wear. It is to protect you from the sun, you are newly made and can not tolerate it just yet." I just nodded my head going with it. He walked back to his corner of the room and picked up a bag and come back over to me. He dropped it in front of me,  and gestures to it " This has clothes for you and a new identity. You are now, instead of violet,  Vanessa Schmidt. We can still call you Violet when you are home if you would prefer. Your backstory is that you were born in Germany and our family moved over to America when you were a baby. You came from Kansas, and you are going to school. We will discuss later what you will be going to school for, we need you to provide for the coven like we all do.So I would prefer it be a major that would be useful. "  I felt my head spin, first thought in my head was, what I was before this? Did I even know German? Where was I actually from? Why can't remember anything? I was just going to have to trust him for now until either my memories come back or I become independent in this new world.
