The Lost One

Chapter 6

Vanessa Pov:

The plane descending woke me up. I didn't open my eyes and instead listened to my surroundings to see if the boys were talking at all. There was nothing but silence and the plane, I wasn't naïve I knew that they most likely knew I was awake. I finally opened my eyes and sat up in my seat, I looked around the plane spotting the two brothers in the same spot they were in when I had fallen asleep. They were staring at me with such a concentration that it was kind of creepy, I just stared at them back not willing to back off. We all sat there for awhile before the twins breaking contact when the pilot had announced over the intercom that we had finally landed. It was a bit concerning because I didn't realize that we had landed already, the boys were distracting me and it didn't give me a lot of time to plan how to get away from them between the plane and car. 

Alexi got up from his seat and went to the overhead above his seat and was grabbing bags while Dimitri sat there staring at me. I looked away from him and got up from my seat and went to the bar and grabbed a bottle of rum and a can of coke. I heard Dimitri get up and move to stand next to me at the bar and just watched me as I poured the rum and coke into a small glass. I picked up my drink and turned around with my back to the bar and leaned against it sipping on my drink. " So were are we going huh?"  Dimitri didn't say anything and just stood there next to me. I took one more sip before getting ready for my plan, I was going to have to be quick if I was going to make it out of here. 

I throw the drink into Dimitri's face and speed towards the door while I throw my glass at Alexi's head, when I get the door open I use my vampire speed and run towards the airport hoping to use the crowd as a cover. I managed to get to the front door before I felt someone reach for me and I changed courses to avoid them, I speed to one of the taxi's sitting in front of the airport and quickly got in. I yelled at the driver, " GO GO GO!!!" he put into drive and started to drive. He was asking me why I was in such a hurry, if I was ok or if he needed to contact the police. I just simply told him to drive to a hotel as far from the airport as he can, I didn't relax until we were 30 minutes away from the airport. 

The driver pulled up to a hotel and I payed him with cash and got out, I waited until he had driven away and used my speed to run to the nearest bank. I pulled out my emergency credit card and went to their ATM and pulled out as much cash as I could and ran off once again. I ran back to the other side of town and found a hotel, I was trying to create a trail that the boys could follow for awhile before I gave them the slip and got out of here and back to father. I went to the front desk of the hotel and bought a room and accepted the key, I found my room number and entered the room. I looked for a piece of paper and a pen before writing a note for the boys.

I set the note on the bed and opened the window to look how far down the ground was, I was only on the second floor so I popped out the screen and set it next to the window and jumped out. I then headed towards downtown and went into a small coffee shop and  bakery called My Sweet Pastries . I waited in line while I opened my phone and hooked up to their Wi-Fi and called Milo through app he created so that if either of us were in  situation were we needed to make a call without being traced we could use the app. I would have to delete the app and dump my phone before going to get a new one to continue to contact my father and Milo. 

 I put my phone up to my ear and waited for Milo to pick up his phone, the worker at the counter asked what I wanted and I ordered a Lemon Scone and took it to a table next to the door so I could watch it. Milo had finally answered the phone when I sat down. "Hey girl! What do you need?" I laughed at his excitement of answering the phone, " Hey Milo I need you to send father's jet to my location and I need you to scramble my signal so no one can track it. I will be dumping my phone so if you could erase all the information on it that would be awesome." I took a bite of my scone and wait for him to respond I just heard the typing of a keyboard an assumed he was working on my requests. " Alright Nessa the jet is on the way and I dealt with the rest I hope I see you soon." He hung up on his end and I got up from my seat an threw the wrapper from my scone and my phone in the trash can.

I walked outside the shop and started walking down Main waiting for a Taxi to drive by. When one finally came down the street I waved my hand hoping to get it's attention when I noticed someone else was waving behind me as well. I turned to see who it was and it was, there was this man who looked strangely familiar waving at the taxi as well. He stopped waving when he realized that I was looking at him, he smiled at first and then his face paled and he look scared. " Violet?"

I tilted my head trying to think of where I would have met this man and he used my human name so he must have known me before I was changed. I felt a headache coming on, " I'm sorry sir do I know you?" he gave me this confused looked and looked at me for a few seconds before saying anything. " Violet it is you right? I mean you look way younger which doesn't make any sense." I shook my head, and turned back to the road to see the taxi had pulled over. I opened the door and before getting in I looked at the man and said, " Violet is dead, I'm not who your looking for." 

I got in and shut the door leaving the man standing on the curb and told the driver to head to the airport, on the drive I thought about me and that mans interaction and could feel my headache get worse. Right before I stopped I got a flash of the same man but he was way younger and he was wearing a more formal attire. I didn't understand why I couldn't remember anything even after a year after my rebirth. When my taxi finally pulled up to the airport I got out after I payed him and used my speed to go around and head to my father's jet. When I walked into the jet I stopped where I was and noticed that Dimitri and Alexi were sitting down with a man I've only seen in picture, Akela Eldenmeyer.  

" Well done my little  Цветок  you managed to give us a chase, not many people are able to do that." I roll my eyes at him and pop out my hip and set my right hand on my hip, " Well I'm not most people and what are you doing on my father's jet." He just chuckled and Akela answered instead " Well Vanessa I had asked them to bring you to me at the Eldenmeyer mansion but you like to see to try to get away, so I told them to tell me where they find you and I would meet them there to speak with you." I just glared at all three of them, I would very much like to go home now and they were in my way of doing that. Akela just grinned at my glare and continued talking, " Now I wanted to talk to you because of who you were in your human life, as I understand your human name was Violet am I correct?" I nod and so does he, " Good. What do you remember from your human life Vanessa." I shrugged and said " Absolutely nothing I only know my original name because my father told me." 

Akela sighed and rubbed his face mumbling, I didn't quite catch what he said except for something about his mate. He looked back up at me and said, " Well I'm sorry to hear that but I knew who you were and we have in fact met several times." Now he had Alexi's, Dimitri's and I's attention, "Well who was I ? How did we know each other?" He didn't say anything for a couple minutes before I became impatient, " Well spit it out already Eldenmeyer I don't have all day!" He growled at me before finally looking me in the eyes and saying, " You were Violet Williams and you were my mates mother. You had died in a vampire attack while they were trying to get to Ashley your daughter. " I felt my stomach drop I was unsure of what he was saying, I had a daughter? Who else was in my family? Who else did I know but don't remember? Who was that man on the street that recognized me ? Before I could ask Akela any of my questions my head started pounding even more.I hissed and grabbed my head waiting for it to pass, but it kept getting stronger and stronger. I heard Alexi and Dimitri trying to talk to me and I felt them holding me, before I could give any sort of response back the pain worsened and I blacked out.
