The day had finally arrived for Joseph, Damian, and Mandy to go home and back to Haven. They were already given their orders, for once they returned home, they were assigned jobs throughout the community.Joseph and Mandy were given perimeter patrol jobs, and Leonard appointed Damian his minion, seeing to the new recruits and families coming into Haven. Andrew and Cara threw a homecoming party for the boys and Mandy. She and her parents still did not find any common ground. Braun and Lynn wondered if they would ever be reunited with their daughter again. To Mandy, she didn't see her parents in her future. She wanted nothing to do with them, and there was nothing in the entire universe that could change her mind. After Jasmine, Kevin and Chelsea get back to the docks in Glee, Chelsea got in her car and drove home as fast as she could. She had to convince her parents to go on a long vacation with her. She knew they would agree to it. Her father did anything she asked and her mother never protested. *************** Chelsea got out of her car and ran to her house. Suddenly, she stopped on the first step up to the porch and saw her front door was busted off its hinges. Cautiously, she slowly walked up the steps and through the front door. Surprisingly, the whole house was destroyed. The couch turned on its side and there were a set of three claw marks on each of the cushions. Papers, books, broken glass, picture frames scattered across the floor. She carefully stepped through the living room and crept into the kitchen. She stopped and gasped when she saw the blood on the floor and it splattered on the white walls. Cabinets and drawers were opened and everything was all over the floor. What happened? She thought to herself. "Mom, Daddy?" she cried out. Suddenly, Chelsea heard a snarl and low growl from behind her. Nervously, she swallowed hard and turned around. She stared at her parents wide-eyed. They had fur on their faces and claws for hands. Their clothes had been ripped into shreds and hung from their limbs stained with blood. Her father and mother looked at her with crazy eyes. Before Chelsea could move, her parents both lunged at her, knocking her to the ground. Her mother bit her in the neck and Chelsea screamed out in pain. Her body began to burn from the inside out. She began to convulse and shake on the floor. Her parents were pulled off of her and a face Chelsea had never seen before, came into view. "Are you okay?" the man asked with concern in his eyes. She thought he was concerned for her safety, but she was wrong. The only thing the man was concerned about was if the bite would turn or kill Chelsea. Some humans died when they were bitten by a werewolf. "It's burning!" she grumbled, as she tried to fight the burning sensation. At that moment, Chelsea heard another voice laugh. "Dude, she just got bit, like thirty seconds ago, wait at least a minute or two,” said another voice. Chelsea felt anger rise up from the burning, and she snarled as she sat up. She looked at the men angrily. "There she goes, get her up and put her with the others. This was the last stop on the list, we are headed back to Haven,” said one of the strange faces. Chelsea snarled and snapped as she was pulled to her feet by another stranger. "Hey, don't bite me! We are on the same side! Come on, I didn't like this part either, but things will get better,” she said. "What is happening to me?" Chelsea asked the girl in a shaky voice. The girl looked at her and sighed. "You, my dear, are now what I am. A werewolf. We are ordered if you survive the bite, we take you with us,” explained the girl, as they walked out of the house. "Where are we going?" "To Haven. Now, please be quiet. My squad leader is a real asshole, and I don't want him to hurt you,” she whispered, and Chelsea only nodded. The girl seemed to relax Chelsea a little. Chelsea and her parents were led, with the other families, to go to their new home, Haven. Chelsea silently sighed as she feared she would never see her friends again. She didn't get back in time to save her mother and father, and now she and her family had become part of the war. ****************** Kevin pulled into Jasmine's driveway, and he saw his father's SUV parked by his uncle's car. He parked the car and looked at Jasmine, worried. "It's now or they find out, and they kill us,” said Kevin. Heavily, they both sighed as they both got out of the car and walked into the house. Their parents were sitting at the dining room table working on something. "Kevin, Jasmine!" greeted Tom as he looked up. Anna, Justin, and Allison all looked up and smiled at the kids. Jasmine ran her hand over her messy braid. "Yeah, hi!" she said, nervously. "The trip's over already?" asked Justin, and Jasmine nodded and then held her head high. "We lied to you,” she said immediately, and Kevin nodded sadly in agreement. Their parents all looked at each other and then back at the kids. "What do you mean?" asked Anna, as she looked at her daughter. Jasmine sighed and pulled the map and journal out of her back pocket. "I mean, we didn't go on a cross-country trip to see concerts. I found your map and journal, and well, we went to Guatemala,” she explained, as she held the map and journal out. Allison looked at her son. "Kevin?" his mother asked him with a questioning look on her face, and Kevin only nodded and sighed. "It's true!" he finally said. Anna stood up abruptly and walked toward her daughter. "Why would you go there? By yourselves? You could have been hurt, or even killed. Why on earth would you decide to go to a dangerous place like that?" Anna scolded. Jasmine and Kevin looked at each other and Kevin nodded encouragingly to her. She nodded back to him. "Well?" Anna asked sternly, as she looked at both of them angrily. "Mom, we met these ancient creatures, and to make a long story short, we found out that there is a huge war coming our way. A creature named Leonard is going to be the one who starts the war,” explained Jasmine, and their parents stared at her for a moment. "What?" Justin asked, as he chuckled. Anna looked at him, and he shook his head. "There is going to be a war, dad," Jasmine yelled at her father. Justin turned to her with a serious look on his face and Jasmine immediately stared at the floor. "I heard what you said,” he said to her, and Jasmine didn't look at him. She really never raised her voice to her parents, and she wasn't sure how much trouble she was in. "If this is true, then we need to notify the general immediately!" said Justin, as he turned his gaze to Anna. Anna looked at her husband and then at her daughter and Kevin. "You two are absolutely sure that this is going to happen?" Anna asked, seriously. Jasmine and Kevin both nodded. Anna turned to Justin and sighed. "Then yes, we should call the general and prepare for war,” she said. Jasmine looked at Kevin. He seemed to be able to know what was on her mind. He knew she wanted to tell them the rest, so he nodded. Jasmine took a deep breath and blew it out. "Mom, wait! There's more!" said Jasmine, nervously, as she looked up. Allison stopped dialing and looked at Jasmine. "Melina, the ancient Ambopteryx showed me how to stop the war. Only me and this other person can truly stop the war for good!" Jasmine explained. Justin looked at Anna and then back at his daughter. "Share the vision with your mother," Melina's voice came into Jasmine's and Kevin's minds. Jasmine nodded to Kevin and took her mother's hand. Anna looked at her in question. "What are you doing?" she asked, as she searched her daughter's eyes, and Jasmine looked into her mother's eyes with the same intent. "Trust me," Jasmine said softly, as her eyes shimmered, and Anna stared in amazement. She didn't know her daughter could do that. Thanks to Melina, Jasmine was given very special abilities. "Close your eyes,” whispered Jasmine. Obediently, Anna closed her eyes and felt a heat sensation come from her daughter's hand. The same vision that Jasmine had seen now, flowed through her mother's mind, and when the vision ended, Anna opened her eyes. She watched as her daughter's eyes shimmered again. "Beautiful,” said Anna in awe, as Jasmine let go of her hand. Jasmine smiled at her mother. Anna turned to Justin, Allison, and Tom. "It's true. Every word of it,” said Anna, as she looked up, and Justin looked at Jasmine. "Who is the other person?" he asked, and Jasmine and Kevin both shrugged. "Melina said when the time comes, she will know,” said Kevin with a smile. Anna thought for a moment. If love is the answer, then Joseph must be the other person in the vision. Anna decided the best thing she could do was tell her daughter the truth about Joseph. Anna looked at her daughter. "Jasmine, I need to talk to you in private,” she said. Justin looked at her in question, and Anna smiled at him. "Girl stuff," she whispered, and Justin nodded and smiled. Jasmine nodded to her mother. If Joseph was the one, then Jasmine needed to know that he was on the wrong side.
