Chapter 5
He must have passed out because when he opened his eyes he was sitting at the base of a large boulder with his back against it and he had no idea how he’d come to be there.
“Oh good. You’re conscious,” said Elrad.
He called to the others, who congregated around Jacob.
“How do you feel?” asked Kellen, squatting down beside Jacob.
Jacob rubbed the back of his head. “I’ve got one hell of a headache,” he moaned. “And my whole body aches.”
“As long as you’re okay then,” said Kellen, standing up. “Right, we must leave you now. The quicker we get the crystal and get out of here, the better. I’d advise you to stay out of sight and wait for our return.”
