Chapter 5:

When I woke up it was dark outside but the room lights were on the lowest dim setting. I sighed sitting up. That's when I noticed my closet door was slightly ajar. I got up and walked to the closet and gasped as I pulled the doors open. Inside was my brand new wardrobe mixing with my old one. Everything had been put away. Either hung up, or folded and put in the dressers. all the jewelry Jared had gotten me was placed in a fancy jewelry box on top of one of the dressers. 

I yawned walking out of the closet and heading to the door just as Jared walked in the door and suddenly my front was pushed against his front and it only took him a millisecond to respond. He scooped me up in his arms and pinned me to the wall smashing his lips to mine in an earth shattering kiss. A kiss that made me wonder how I could have ever thought the kisses I had received previously were in any way romantic. The sparks that flew from the contact of our skin and lips were mind altering. After what felt like an eternity Jared pulled away slightly to let me catch my breath as he left a hot trail of kisses down my jaw and neck.

I groaned softly panting. "Jared… I-I'm…"

"I know little one." He mumbles softly against my neck before fully pulling away from me and giving me a sheepish smile. "I am sorry. I got carried away. I just want you so damn bad and your sister was telling me about …" He hesitated then sighed. "She was telling me about your previous relationships and jealousy overwhelmed me and when I walked in here and you pushed up against me I couldn't control myself." He sighed deeply looking me over his eyes rakeing my body sending a delicious shiver down my spine.

I flushed a bright red and looked down at my painted nails. "I am sorry." I mumble.

"What are you sorry for little one?" He asks gently, sliding his finger under my jaw pulling my face up to look in my eyes.

"For my sister making you jealous and for making you wait and for…" 

Suddenly he bent and kissed me deeply, halting my words and even my thoughts. When he pulled away all my visible skin was a flaming red.

"Don't be sorry. It's okay. We will take this at your pace. We have decided that yours and your sisters' welcoming ceremony will be on Friday. That gives you three days to prepare. The ceremony will also be your Luna ceremony as well as Sapphires Beta ceremony. We decided to combine them all into one party. I should warn you though over the next few days you are going to be meeting a lot of people. Not only the members of this pack but…" He hesitated looking me over before sighing. "You will also be meeting my family."

I blushed and giggled at the look on his face. "Well you have already met my whole family since Sapphire is all I got, now that I know Tim isn't really our Uncle." I sighed and looked deep into Jareds blue eyes and then suddenly I asked the question I wanted answered more than anything in the world.

"Why were Sapphire and I lied to our whole lives?" I asked carefully, watching his reaction.

Jared froze looking deep into my eyes before he took a deep breath and let it out in a gust of air. "Lets go get Sapphire I should tell you both." He says quietly, taking my hand and pulling me from the room.

We walked down stairs and found Leo and Sapphire cuddled up on a couch. Jared sat down on the adjoining couch and pulled me into his lap.

"We need to talk, Emerald asked me a question and I didn't feel it was fair to answer her without you present Sapphire."

I saw Leo tense and turned to look at Jared wide eyed. Then I noticed both men's eyes go glossy for a moment. I looked at Sapphire and she shrugged letting me know she wasn't sure what that meant either. After a moment they both were back.

"If you feel it is the right time Alpha." Leo said carefully, holding Sapphire a little tighter.

"What is the question that was asked?" Sapphire asks, looking between Jared, Leo and myself.

I sighed. "The same question I asked you at the mall but you had no answer for." I said chewing on my lip.

"The one about our parents?" She asked, confused. 

"Emerald asked why the both of you have been lied to your whole lives." Jared said and sighed. "Your parents aren't really dead, and Timothy isn't just a regular Omega." I felt shocked all the way to my toes. I couldn't move. I was frozen with my mouth open.

"Timothy is a distant cousin to your mother. He was asked to take the both of you to the human world and raise you as if you were humans until your eighteenth birthday where he was to take you to your mother's old pack so the both of you could shift and join the pack. You were then to take lessons on pack life and your werewolf history but it was all turned on its head because you are my mate and Sapphire is Leo's. They never expected you both to be mated with an Alpha and Beta. Let alone the fact that both of your wolves are the rarest in our history. The Gemstone wolves have always been an array of colors but never has there been twins born to that lineage and both twins not only have rare colored fur but also golden eyes instead of black. It's so rare it hasn't happened in thousands of years. Your Parents are my superior. They are the King and Queen which makes the both of you Royalty. The lost Princesses. Nobody knew what your parents asked Timothy to do. Nobody except my Father who was Alpha at the time. When I was transferred the title of Alpha I gained the knowledge. The King and Queen requested nobody tell you of your true lineage until the time came for you to go to the castle and take over to rule the werewolf nations. As I said they didn't foresee either of you being Mated to an Alpha and a Beta and to meet us your first day here. I cannot lie to you when you ask me a direct question as it could damage our mate bond and I am not willing to sacrifice what you mean to me even if that goes against The King and Queen’s wishes." Jared took a deep breath.

"As it stands they now know we are your mates and they have requested to visit the pack on Friday to be a part of your ceremonies. Which is why the ceremonies were moved from next week to Friday."

I looked at Sapphire and saw the shock I felt, plastered on her face as well. "They are alive?" She whispered softly tears forming in her eyes.

"They didn't want us." I mumbled to her my eyes filling with tears as well but not for the same reasons.

Sapphire was sad whereas I was mad as hell. "How dare they?" I asked suddenly loudly, jumping from Jareds lap to pace furiously. "How dare they do that to us! Our whole lives we were told they were dead! If they didn't want the responsibility of raising us then they shouldn't have had s*x to begin with!" I snapped my hands curled into tight fists.

"Em maybe we were too much, maybe it was safer for us…"

"NO! Sapphire you will not make excuses for them!" I snapped and punched the wall causing a huge hole which snapped me out of my rage. I looked at the wall and was shocked I had just done that.

"Emerald take a deep breath and calm down. They did what they felt was best for the both of you. The Gemstone line is very old and powerful. Anyone who has even a drop of their blood is sought after, to be used, to gain the other person's powers with which they did not previously have. When you both were born Your parents decided it was safer for you both to be raised as humans away from the power hungry Werewolves, who would have used you to try and dethrone your parents. You have no idea how much they suffered to watch you grow up with Timothy not knowing them."

I sighed and walked over and sat down on a chair away from everyone. "I don't care what their excuses are. I don't want to see them."

"But Em!" Sapphire cried looking at me with her tear stained face.

"I don't care, Saph I don't want to know them! They can't waltz into my life after eighteen years and expect me to fall on the ground with elation that they aren't dead."

"You will have to face them, Emerald and you will have to bow like the rest of us. Even I as an Alpha must obey their commands. If they say bow we all bow. They are the leaders of our world even higher than the supernatural council. No matter how much you are hurt. When they arrive you are expected to give them the respect their title demands. Even I can't save you from that." Jared sighed and walked over and knelt down in front of me. "I will be by your side through it all but there is no getting out of this." He kissed my cheek softly, his fingers wiping away the angry tears that had run down my cheeks.

"This still doesn't answer my question." I say calmly looking into Jareds bright blue eyes. "Why were we lied to? I get it that they sent us away but why lie about being dead? Why leave us with someone who calls himself our Uncle our whole lives only to find out he's a very distant cousin? It makes no sense."

"They tried to make you feel safe. That way when you were smaller you wouldn't talk about them because all you knew was they were dead. It kept you safe from those out there wishing to do the Gemstone line harm."

I sighed deeply and crossed my arms across my chest. "I will never forgive them." I spoke softly, my voice filled with conviction.

"I am sure they have figured you would have an adverse reaction to finding out they are alive and I am sure they expect your anger." Jared sighed, taking my hand. "Don't be too harsh no matter the circumstances they are still your parents."

That's when I heard Sapphire's sobbs. I jumped up, pushed Jared out of my way and scooped her up in my arms pulling her from Leo and sat down with her in my lap. I pet her hair gently like I always did whenever she was upset. "Saph it's going to be okay. I will be angry for the both of us." I mumble softly, rocking her gently, kissing her hair. "Don't worry, I will keep you safe. I have always kept you safe and that's not going to change now." I mumble rocking her gently. I noticed the guys had left to give us some privacy which I was grateful for.

After a while Sapphire was dissolved into hiccups clinging to me. I kept rocking her petting her hair mumbling soft words of encouragement into her ear. 

After about an hour or so Jared reappeared with Leo and cleared his throat.

"Dinner is done, why don't you both come eat and then rest. I am sure you both will feel better after a good meal and a good night's sleep."

I groaned but nodded standing up holding Sapphire close to me. I led her to the table and coaxed her to sit next to Leo which she did rubbing her eyes. We all ate in silence other than the random hiccups from Sapphire. After dinner I kissed Sapphire before heading to mine and Jared's room. I dug in the closet and pulled out a new pair of pajamas and went to the bathroom. I knew what I needed. I needed a hot shower and a good jam session. I pulled out my cell phone and opened youtube and started playing a Playlist turning the volume all the way up to drown out even my own heart break. I turned on the shower and once the water was hot I stripped my clothes singing along loudly with the song playing. I washed my hair, added conditioner, and then washed my body. Suddenly I grabbed the bottle of soap and was using it as a microphone as I moved about the shower singing at the top of my lungs to drown out my heart ache. This is what I did when I was hurt but wasn't willing to admit it to myself. 

After I was clean I rinsed and continued to sing as I dried and dressed now using my hairbrush as a microphone. Once my hair was brushed I realised I was out of breath from moving around so rapidly and scream/singing. I put the brush back turned off the music and took a deep breath heading into the bedroom to see Sapphire sitting with Leo and Jared on the bench at the foot end of the bed.

"Em…" she said softly standing up and taking my hands leading me to the bench. "Em I know you are hurting both your Mate and I can feel it."

I closed my eyes and shook my head. "I am not hurting, I am pissed." I say softly.

"Em…"

"No! I don't wanna talk about it okay?" I said jumping up and pulling away from her. "I am going to sleep." I say and without waiting for any of them to respond I jumped in the bed, crawled under the covers, and closed my eyes tightly forcing myself to sleep.
