Caitlyn cried all night because of her broken heart. When she woke up in the morning, her head felt dizzy. She got up to look for something to drink. Unfortunately, Caitlyn didn't find any drink. She then went to Daphne's room to check whether she was awake.
Caitlyn opened the door to Daphne's room. It turned out that she was still asleep. When she checked the clock, it was only six in the morning. In her opinion, Daphne didn't need to wake up so early. This was a vacation.
Caitlyn went out immediately. She took a short walk to calm her heart. Being hurt alone like this was no fun. There was no one for Caitlyn to confide in.
While outside, Caitlyn accidentally saw Evans, who had just returned home. His clothes looked a little messy. It looked like Evans had had a great night with his girlfriend. It was a stark contrast to Caitlyn, who was heartbroken by the harsh reality of David.
"Why are you out? What about Daphne?" Evans suddenly nagged Caitlyn.
"Daphne is still asleep. I can't possibly wake her up. She was exhausted last night," Caitlyn replied.
"Then where are you going?" Evans' gaze was intimidating to Caitlyn.
"I want to get a drink. My head is a little dizzy."
"Are you sick?" Evans touched Caitlyn's forehead. Suddenly, Caitlyn was speechless. She did not intentionally look at Evans' face but saw lipstick marks on Evans' clothes.
"No!" Caitlyn quickly brushed off Evans' hand. "Just a little dizzy."
"Go back inside. You can find some water in the kitchen. Why go out of the resort? You can ask the maid to serve you anyway," Evans said. "I don't want Daphne fussing around looking for you."
Caitlyn felt like Evans was caught. She had no idea how much pain Caitlyn was feeling right now. Meanwhile, Evans had been having fun with women. If it wasn't for the money, Caitlyn wouldn't be doing this.
Caitlyn went back inside the resort. She went to the kitchen. There was no warm water. She had to boil water first.
While waiting, Caitlyn looked through David's wedding photos. He seemed very happy in this picture. David had been living off her money. Caitlyn worked at the library and gave David many things with her salary.
"If you keep looking at that picture, you'll never forget it," Evans said suddenly.
Evans's sudden appearance surprised Caitlyn, and she accidentally dropped her phone.
"Oh, s**t!" Caitlyn immediately picked up that phone. Unfortunately, the screen was cracked, and no image appeared.
"I'll replace it. Don't worry," Evans said without any guilt at all. It just so happened that the water Caitlyn had boiled was already boiling. Evans poured it into the glass. "Thanks for the hot water."
Evans walked away after pouring the water.
Caitlyn felt there was no difference between life after being betrayed by David and now. It turned out that Evans was a human who had no empathy at all. When she first met him, he was pretty polite. Are rich people really arrogant like him?
Caitlyn quickly poured the hot water into a glass, then mixed it with cold water and honey from the kitchen. Caitlyn took a sip to ease the dizziness in her head.

This morning, Evans took Caitlyn for a walk around the resort. Daphne was delighted. Meanwhile, Caitlyn didn't say much. Apparently, she hasn't gotten used to her hurt feelings. She's not a real mother, so she can't act like one when her heart is broken.
Evans noticed Caitlyn's lack of enthusiasm. However, Daphne did not mind. She understood that Caitlyn was not her real mother. Just being with Caitlyn made her very happy. At least she had a mother like the other children.
"What's wrong with you?" Evans asked as Caitlyn waited for Daphne, playing in the park with other tourists. Evans protested Caitlyn's lackluster behavior in front of Daphne. "Watch your expression in front of Daphne. You work for her."
"I am sorry," Caitlyn replied.
"Is it because of your phone? I'll replace it right away." Evans was insistent. "I don't want Daphne to feel like you're ignoring her."
"Excuse me, Sir. I work as Daphne's nanny. You pay me as her mother. But you can't control how you express yourself. You have no idea what I've been through!" Caitlyn left. She did not want to be around Evans.
Caitlyn chose to be alone while looking at Daphne. Evans did not chase after her but instead just focused on observing Daphne. He was too worried about the girl. Caitlyn saw that Daphne was an independent child. She likes to meet other children.
"My life is so much more chaotic after meeting that guy!" grumbled Caitlyn as she stared at Evans. "How can anyone have no empathy at all? Poor Daphne. Why does she have to have a father like Evans?
Caitlyn felt that there were no truly good men in this world. She decided not to fall in love with any man now. She would only focus on working. After paying her debts, she intends to study abroad and start a new life.
A boy accidentally pushed Daphne to the ground. Suddenly, Daphne burst into tears.
"Daphne!" Caitlyn immediately ran over to Daphne. She woke her up and saw if there were any injuries on Daphne's body. "Oh, are you alright?" Caitlyn was distraught.
"Be careful next time! Do you think this place is yours? You've already harmed my daughter!" Caitlyn heard Evans' voice, angry at the boy who accidentally made Daphne fall.
The boy's mother seemed to be unhappy with Evans' treatment.
"Sir, they're just children. Why are you being so rude? You're traumatizing, my boy!" the mother screeched.
"Hey, if you can't look after your son, don't let him meet other kids. It could be dangerous!" Evans insisted.
Caitlyn immediately grabbed Evans' hand. "We have to go," Caitlyn said.
"No, I can't let this matter go. I'm going to sue him. He's already harmed Daphne."
"Oh, my god, Evans. You're embarrassing me. We have to treat Daphne's leg first!"
Despite not wanting to let the matter go, Evans was more concerned about Daphne's injury. He went with Caitlyn to treat Daphne's leg.
