Chapter 8 Angry Ex

1638 Words
POV: Sapphire I feel myself being shaken. "Sapphire... Sapphire, wake up." I jolt up as I hear my name being called. I look around only to see Jack looking at me. "Hi," I say rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I look around the room more to see I'm not in my room. I'm in the guy's room. I did it. I f*****g did it! HA take that, Josh! Jack clears his throat looking down at me. I blush in embarrassment. I don't have any clothes under the white sheet shielding Jack's eyes from my body. "Have fun last night. You picked an interesting person for your first time but then again I guess Hayden Onyx is every girl's dream." Jack says. Seriously was that his last name, Onyx? I only remember his first name being Hayden. "I did, I got my vengeance. Why are you here? Did he leave?" I ask. "He did, I came looking for you. You do know it's almost eleven, right?" My eyes widen when he tells me the time. Crap! I can't afford to miss school. If I want to ever get a decent job and not be a barista all my life I need to attend school. "Don't worry, I will talk to the principal but I have a feeling he will excuse you for the day anyway. You don't really want to go to school after doing what you did, do you?" Jack asks. I'm not sure if he's talking about my revenge with a random hot guy or the locker room thing. Either way, he's right, I really don't want to go. If I go today, I will have to hear all the whispers and rumors. It will be that way tomorrow but at least today I can regroup and process. "I guess not." "Now, get up. You're expected in the principal's office soon and so am I." Jack tells me. Great, I'm getting in trouble for standing up for myself after what he did to me. I suppose my school is like any other school. They always favor the football team more than anyone else. I tutor on the side at school for a little side cash. I've literally once been told by a teacher to take a test for one of the football players to ensure he passes. She blackmailed me to do it or she would give all of my assignments failing grades. "Got it. Can you go now? I'm kind of naked under here." I tell Jack. "Right, I will meet you in the lobby. Don't worry about your room. I will have it checked out." Jack leaves the room. "OMG, what have I done?" I ask groaning to myself. I get up and get things done. I've never been a person to just dilly-dally in the morning. I wake up and just go. I can wake up thirty minutes before I have to leave for school and get dressed, take Rusty out, do my hair and makeup, eat, and be out of the door. If I didn't have Rusty it would be fifteen minutes. I grabbed all of my things from the hotel room Jack offered me. I packed extra clothes fully prepared for last night. I'm dreading the meeting with Principal Miller. I will probably be faced with Josh and Mia. I'm not ready to face them. I suck it up and put on my best game face and make myself look presentable ignoring the burning sensation between my legs from last night's activities. I hurry down the stairs of the hotel. I know, I know, I can take the elevator. Just take the damn elevator, Sapphire, but I can't. I have too much on my mind to be freaking out about a stupid elevator right now. Yeah, I'm not about to have that panic attack right now. I meet Jack in the lobby as he said and we head to his truck. I bite my nails in nervousness. What if I get suspended? Oh, oh, or I get expelled? What will I do then? I'm so screwed. Maybe this was a bad idea. Stupid football team. I should have dated someone on the chess team. No one would have cared then. "Saf, calm down. Everything will be ok." Jack breaks me from my thoughts. "Huh, oh yeah, I know. I'm just overreacting or freaking out." I say trying to play it off as nothing. "Ok, well are you coming then?" Jack asks bringing my attention to the fact we've already arrived at the school. f**k! I take a deep breath and jump out of his truck. I guess it's time to see my fate. I follow Jack into the school and into a conference room where the principal, guidance counselor, football coach, and Josh are waiting. I swallow in fear of being suspended. I've never been suspended before. "Mr. Rivers thank you for coming today. Miss. Tristin, please take a seat." Principal Miller says. Jack and I take our seats at the table. Josh glares at me the whole time. "May I ask what this is about?" Jack asks. "Mr. Rivers, I apologize in advance. Josh, would you like to tell your father about the incident that has happened today?" Coach Campbell says. "Not really," Josh says holding his head down now looking at the table. "Some is going to tell me what is going on or I'm going to pull my school funding." Jack threatens. The principal's eyes widen in fear. "Mr. Rivers there is no need for that. Someone decided to pull a prank on Josh today. It involved some explicit photos. His letterman jacket was hung up over his locker with the word cheater." Principal Miller explains. "My locker room was completely vandalized. Someone posted inappropriate photos everywhere. Now judging by the nature of the photos and knowing Miss. Tristin is Josh's girlfriend, I can only presume that this is the result of a couple's spat. Young lady, did you have anything to do with this?" Coach Campbell asks seriously. I scoff at his accusation. I'm offended by his assumptions. "May I ask you all a question," I ask. "Yes, of course. Questions are always welcome." The guidance counselor says. "Good because I'm about to set you all straight right now. And you, you backstabbing cheating bastard, you better listen good and well." I say gaining all of their attention. They all look at me in shock. "I don't care if Josh is on the football team or not. I understand I vandalized the Lockerroom but all you have to do is take the photos down, so did I really vandalize it? Josh cheated on me and that is photo evidence of it. He's been sleeping with my best, now ex-best friend. I will not apologize for what I did. What do you have to say for yourself Josh, Huh?" I tell them angrily. "The photos are photoshopped. Saf, I beg you to let this go." Josh pleads with me. "No, you lost your chance last night. I gave you every chance to tell me the truth. Instead, you sat there and lied straight to my face. Where did you go yesterday? You're lying now. Ella has known for a while now. By the way, Coach one of your team members will probably be clashing with Josh now because of this. You have no right to beg for my forgiveness and forget everything." I tell Josh. Josh looks down in shame but I don't buy his act. "You're right, I don't deserve you. Saphhire, it was a mistake. I won't ever talk to Mia again. Just please, take me back." Josh begs. "No! You want to know what I did for my birthday Josh, hmm? I slept with someone. Yeah, that's right I gave it to someone else so you will never be able to claim it for yourself." I tell Josh staring him right in the eyes. Surprise crosses Josh's eyes but they soon turn to anger. "Are you f*****g kidding me?! I've been working you for three years and you just go off and give it to some random guy? You slut!" Josh yells. "Yes, Josh, I'm a slut. Does that make you feel better?" I ask sarcastically. "Enough! This is a personal home matter and doesn't belong in this school. You two will drop this matter at the door before you enter the school building. Sapphire Tristin, you have no other priors in your school records so I am willing to let this incident go on a warning that if it happens again you will have two weeks of detention. Josh, we are here to learn. Some of these photos clearly show you and some girls in the school participating in inappropriate behavior. We will let it slide but this is a school. Please treat it as such." Principal Miller says. I breathe in relief. "Yes, Principal Miller." Josh and I say. "Good, I'd like for both my son and Sapphire to be excused from school today. They've been through enough." Jack says. "Oh course, Mr. Rivers." Our principal says almost with dollar signs in his eyes. More and more kids suffer due to having parents more money than others. This school will do anything Jack says just simply because he is one of their biggest donors. I'm just relieved everything went much better than I thought it would. "Josh, go gather your things and assignments. I expect to see you at home when I get there." Jack warns his son. Josh rolls his eyes and walks off. "Come on kiddo, I'll take you home." Jack offers. I instantly agree not having the energy right now to ride my skateboard home. I think a nice warm relaxing bath will help and maybe a cup of tea.
