Chapter 3. Slapping a bad boy Alpha!

2736 Words
I ran as fast as I possibly could. Not once did I make the mistake of turning to look back before ducking into another convenience store about half a kilometer away from my work. I went straight to the bathroom, locking myself in there, sitting on the seat as I tried to catch my breath. I had just beaten my own best running time. I never thought I would meet my mate like that, but the scariest thing  was that he was an Alpha. Moon goddess has got to be joking with me, this was dirty and lewd, how could my mate be an Alpha? My worst fear had come true, I hate Alphas and the Moon Goddess chose to mate me to one! The only good thing about all of this was that I was able to run away from him as quickly. Judging by the lack of his scent he hadn’t followed me, but why? I heard that Alphas were extremely possessive over their mates, when they found them they never let them go. However, mine  had just done the exact opposite which was weird. It was good that he hadn’t followed me, but I still felt in danger and I didn’t understand why. I had that feeling like something bad was going to happen. I sat there for about ten minutes, trying to catch my breath and calm my heart rate down, it was still beating out of control due to fear and nervousness. I looked at my watch seeing the time I sighed. I didn't want to be late on my very first day of school, so I picked up my bag, took my dress out, deciding that I would just have to change my clothes here. I got dressed and quickly got out of there, leaving the store to head for school. I was walking to school with the help of Google maps, but because I had applied for the school online I didn't know anything about it. It was difficult for me to get admission because the school had already been open for a month before I had gotten to the city and I had applied after three months of being here. That meant that I had already missed four months of school, thankfully the authorities understood my situation and had accepted me. After walking for about thirty minutes I had finally reached my new school. I took a deep breath as I read the name off of the side of the building and prepared myself to once again start at a new school. I don't know why, but I was getting really nervous and I didnt know what new twist this school year was going to take me. “Hey, are you a transfer student?” A girl asked, standing next to me. She was a pretty girl and was the same height as me. “Hi, yes I am.” I replied, smiling at her. “My name is Lily.” She said, introducing herself. “My name is Bella.” I introduced myself, shaking her hand. We stood at the door talking for a while, I showed her my class schedule to which she seemed really happy. “It seems that we are in the same classes.” Lily explained, showing me her school I.D card and class schedule. I was happy to know that she was in my classes.I had a feeling that she would be my friend as she was very pleasant to talk to and her demeanor was friendly. “Let's go inside.” Lily said, I nodded. I was asking her about the course we were going to and she was telling me everything about it. I came to understand that I had to cover so many things that I had already missed in my studies this year. I was never stupid when it came to school, I was a brilliant student, but this was going to be really hard as it had been four months this meant I had to catch up on a half of the year’s course material . Lily and I walked inside, talking to each other. Suddenly the smile completely disappeared from my face when I stepped inside. I had realised that there were werewolves here. There weren't just one or two, there were more than I wanted to try and count at the moment. When I looked around I saw that this wasn't like my previous school. No not at all, I wasn't the only werewolf here, there were many like me. They were all living as humans with humans, just like I had been doing most of my life, but before today I had never been in the midst of so many of them. Jesse was the only other werewolf that had been around me before. I watched as they all tensed, sensing my presence as I had sensed theirs, they were all looking me up and down. I could see the danger in their eyes, I could feel that they all belonged to packs. How the hell was I going to survive amongst them? “Bella, what's wrong?” Lily asked. It snapped me out of my thoughts, reminding me breathing was good for a girl. “Nothing.” I replied, smiling. Let's get to class.” Lily prodded, I nodded. I wanted nothing more than to turn around and run away from them. I could feel  the daggers they were throwing at me with their eyes  pricking at my skin, but I had to behave as normally as  possible so that these people didn’t sense that I was nervous. Despite walking forward I could see some more werewolves ahead and I don't know why, but I got the feeling that there were a lot more here than I had first thought. “Our class is over there.” Lily said, I glanced in the direction she was pointing. Our class was so far away. “Okay, let's go.” I replied, starting to walk. Only managing two steps before I felt Lily’s firm grip on my hand. “No, let's not go there just yet.” Lily whimpered, I noticed that she was looking really scared. She was holding my hand tightly and had no intention of letting me move, but she wasn't looking at me. I turned in the same direction as Lily, observing that there were about seven guys and three girls sitting together, forming a group. “DO IT QUICKLY!!!” A boy shouted at another boy causing Lily to flinch when she heard him. "What is going on over there?" I asked Lily,  I had noticed that none of them were werewolves, but they were all humans. "Those people are our seniors and all those who are sitting on their knees are juniors. If we want to go to our class, then we have to go through them. We have to accept everything from those people or else they will make it very difficult for us to stay in this school." Lily explained the whole thing to me. Now I knew why she was scared. All those boys and girls were our seniors and they were bullying the juniors. In all the schools that I had studied in before today, I had not seen bullying. Nobody meant anything to anyone, but the view in front of me was horrid. Some boys who were juniors were sitting on their knees, apologizing to the seniors. I heard that they were apologizing because they did not say good morning to them. They were being punished for ignoring the seniors. They were being publicly shamed as seniors were asking them to apologise loudly. They had caught some students who were wearing glasses and began calling them study worms, geeks, and nerds. They had intentionally caught the rich kids and snatched their money as a punishment. “OMG! Look at that poor thing.” One of the girls snickered. I almost had a heart attack when I heard her. They were all looking at the poor students with complete and utter disgust. I understood then that these were the rich kids, they didn't see poorer people as human beings. She was calling a human a thing, like they were beneath her. They had made them all stand in a line and were now making fun of their poverty. It was heart wrenching, but I was scared too because I was also poor. They grabbed the books from  a student’s arms and threw them to the floor, but she wasn't saying anything back to them, she just stood there silently listening to them. Taking the punishment they were giving her. “What the hell is going on?” I asked Lily, angry at having to witness all of this. “They are the school bullies and now they have seen us. They are calling us over to them.” Lily murmured. I noticed that two of them were staring at us, waving us over to them. “This is not just bullying, this s**t is legit hazing. They can not play with us like this just because we are juniors.” I argued. Lily just gave me a scared glance. “Please, don't say it too loud, if they hear you then they will make your life a living hell. You are new here, that’s why I thought it was important to tell you. Please don't argue with them, just do whatever they want or we are dead.” Lily replied, making me sigh. “Now, let's go. If they have to repeat themselves then we will be punished.” Lily stressed, I followed behind her. Punished? Like really? I thought to myself, but then I remembered what she had mentioned about them not letting me stay in the school if I didn’t obey them. I had got this admission with great difficulty, I didn’t want to lose it or my future was over before it even started. “Lily, where are your manners, darling? Have you forgotten what you need to do when you see us? Did it slip your memory that you are only here on a scholarship?” One of the guys sneered, as  they all started laughing at her. However, Lily just stood there with her head lowered like a slave would, never making a sound. “Oh, really? She is a scholarship student? Because of these poor people I can not even breathe around here. I heard her father ran away, leaving her mom and her behind.” One of the girls snapped. I was watching Lily. I was looking at Lily’s face, but she wasn't saying anything to them. They were insulting her father and she was still standing there like a statue, with tears streaming down her face. “Oh no, she is crying. You are too cruel. Why do you need to speak the truth? See, her make-up will spoil.” One of the guys cruelly joked to his friend as she rolled her eyes. He walked to Lily and wiped her tears away, like he was caring for her. “So, what should we do now? Should we get on our knees and beg for mercy for hurting a junior?” One of them mused, they all laughed. He was taking all the wind out  of Lily’s sails as he got on his knees in front of her, continuing to make fun of her. “You have totally spoiled my mood with your tears, Lily. Just go and apologise loudly with the others.” He ordered, shoving her away from him. What kind of bullshit was this? He was the one who made her cry, so why would she need to apologise? “Do it Lily.” He urged, taking her hands and placing them over her ears. He was asking her to shout his name loudly as she apologised to him, so that everyone could hear her. She was crying with embarrassment, I was feeling really bad for her. “DO IT NOW!!” He suddenly shouted, making her jump. She complied immediately doing as she was told. All of them were laughing at her while she was doing it. “Shout my name loudly, I want the whole school to remember my name.” He continued, she just nodded. “Ooooh,we have a new face.” One of the boys noted, they all turned to me. Their eyes were shining to see me as they were talking about me. I could feel that they had evil intentions for me as well. “So, what's your name?” He asked, looking me up and down. “Bella.” I replied, as he circled me. “Ummm, I can see that fitness is important to you. You have a well maintained body.” He commented, looking at my ass, I chose to ignore him. “Why are you ignoring me? Are you feeling shy?” He asked, I glared at him. “Please let us go.” I said, he smiled. “How is this possible? You are new here and yet you don't want to be friends with your seniors?” He inquired, smiling widely at me. “Sorry, I don't like to be friends with everyone.” I replied as I tried to go to Lily. “You broke my heart. I can see that you are not scared of us, but if you want to leave then you are going to have to do something. Why don't you give me a kiss?” He prompted, they all laughed. The girls of the group were just the same as him, I hated all of them. Lily looked at me with a pure terror in her eyes. “Why are you still standing there, Bella?” He asked, touching my hair. He was now standing right behind me. “Don't touch me. I will not kiss you.” I said, shoving his hand away from me. “Oh, you have got some guts to shove a senior's hand away.” He said, still behind me. I had no idea why he was still standing behind me. “Let us go. We have class, let's go, Lily.” I remarked, going to her. I removed her hands from her ears, she looked both scared and shocked. “Who told you that you could leave?” He emphasised as they all surrounded us. The guy from before yet again came and stood behind me. “You didn't do yourself any favors by offending me. From now on you have become every senior's target, Bella. I can however still save you, just do what I asked and you are free to go.” He whispered in my ear and tried to touch my waist. I pushed him away again,he was about to fall but was quickly able to recover. “YOU b***h! HOW DARE YOU PUSH ME! DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO I AM?! GIRLS ARE DYING TO GET WITH ME AND YOU ARE SHOWING ME ATTITUDE JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! I WILL MAKE YOU KISS ME!!” He shouted from behind me. “BELLA MOVE! HE'S GOING TO ATTACK YOU!” Lily shouted, I panicked. I knew he would attack me because he would do anything for a kiss, especially now that I had insulted him. That was it, I have had enough, he thinks he can play with me like he does the others. HELL NO! I turned around slapping him as hard across the face as I could, but then the whole school went silent and my face turned white. Lily had already pushed the guy away in order to save me, he wasn't the one that was standing behind me anymore. Someone else was.   “Oh my god, she just slapped the bad boy of the school.” One of the other students whispered.   “She slapped Asher.” Another whispered.   “She slapped the bad boy.” Someone else whispered. Everyone's words entered my ears, they were all saying that I had slapped the bad boy of the school. What they didn't know was that I had just seriously f****d my life up. My wolf was screaming for the second time today,  mate inside my head. I had not only slapped the bad boy of the school, I had also slapped my mate, The Alpha.
