Chapter 2.Losing sanity.

1031 Words
It's been a few days since I heard the voice in my mind ... Aniyha she called herself. Marcus, Jess, and Taryn have been utterly clueless of me losing my mind... Since the morning we arrived, I have been hearing the voice. I tried my best to ignore it and have fun, but It was overbearing. The voice dominated my mind and it was consistent. We were staying at the beachfront lodge. The sundowner. We had our own private villa, and our villa was one of many in the middle of the vibrant tropical garden it was beautiful. It had two bedrooms and one bathroom, and the villa was only a few meters away from the beach and all the lodge areas. The whole setup was elegant and with balinese style included in every inch of the Lodge. Over the few days, we explored and went to beautiful locations' spots and tried the local foods, we went snorkeling and even went to a traditional balinese spa. And everywhere we went and everything we did I hid the fact that a little dog in my mind keeps interrupting my thinking and trying to communicate with me. "I am a wolf!" Aniyha growled..."wolf, dog, cat, it doesn't matter. " I whispered back at her. I can feel her in my mind growling back at me. I never had an alter ego that tried to communicate with me. Marcus quickly brought me back when he asked me if we had time for a quick drink. "Let's go to our spot near the villa." I said with a smile "The blue laggoon!" All three of them cheered. The blue laggoon was a small beachbar that was located a 10 min walk from our villa and it was the reason why my fair skin was getting a golden glow and my blond hair was getting a nice silver tint with all the sun and salt water.Every day since arriving, we soaked up the culture and creativity of the island, but this was our spot.Jess did not approve that we went to the same place and insisted that we must see other places too, but the Blue laggoon was our piece of heaven that we could enjoy.Jess was always dragging us to the nearest bar or restaurant to see what tipe of men were available. She was always a flirt, and we all were forced to go with her.Taryn and Marcus have gotten a lot closer since we arrived... but of course, Jess was also clueless about this, she only focused on the talent that was around us.I could see them tease each other and glance at each other ever so often.I must admit I was a bit jealous. We arrived at the Blue Laggoon and it was the perfect combination of sea and relaxation. It was a small grass hut with a bar, in front of the bar was beanbags and lounging chairs. We got into our usual spot right in front of the bar with the clear ocean view.We threw our bags down and chose comfortable beanbags to sit in. "Zaria, we need to talk alone." Please, no, why can't you leave me alone? I thought to myself... I made peace with the fact that I am going crazy but I promised myself that I just wanted to have this time I had left with my friends to be fun and carefree.I would go to a medical facility as soon as we got back to london, and if my mind was lost I would remember the good times I had now. "This one is not our usually hunk of beef," Jess said, pointing to the bartender and bringing me back from my dark thoughts. Suddenly, the urge to protect my friends came from the back of my mind. Why was I feeling this way? Taryn waved him over. "Excuse me, where is Peliti?" Taryn said, I looked at the man,he had a very hard face with an old scar running from his cheek to his eye. His short, built body looked tense, and his laid-back clothes did not hide the tension underneath. His black hair was dirty and wet with sweat. "Not in. usual? four sunrises?" he answered in an irritated voice. Marcus looked confused. "Yes..." The man turned and walked away. "How did he know what our usual is?" Marcus said, worried. "And why does he stink?" I commented. Jess and Taryn stared at me for a few seconds and started to laugh. Marcus looked at me."hahaha you have been complaining about smell and taste this whole vacation, Zaria." My senses have been going crazy since we arrived, but this man truly had a distinct smell of burning grass and old milk stench. We unpacked our bags and spread our towels on the white sandy beach.Jess took off her dress and stretched just long enough that everyone passing by on the beach could see her dark red bikini.I sat down on my towel and looked up at the sky, feeling the moist ocean air on my face. arching my back and taking a deep breath. "Danger..."Aniyha wisperd. YES.My mental stability is in danger, I thought to myself with a mocking smile. "No, he is dangerous." I tilted my head in the direction of the bar. "Yes," the voice said. Marcus sat on the sand with no towel, digging his toes in the sand."Why don't we try the lodge buffet tonight? We have been almost everywhere else, and we haven't even tried the place nearest to us." Taryn nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, I think we can do with a relaxing night tonight instead of renting bicycles again and pubcrawling," I said smiling, I enjoyed the exercise, but the strain on my butt was getting ridiculous. "Noooo," Jess said, annoyed. "There is no talent here,I want to explore."Jess flung her black hair over her shoulders and watched us. "No, mames," Marcus said, rolling his eyes at his sister. "Danger, Zaria," Aniyha growled once more. I saw the black hair man with the scar. Why did my mental disorder warn me against him? "Danger .Zaria!" Aniyha said louder than before. I sensed something in him, that I never felt before. "He has a wolf,Zaria" Aniyha said.
