Scarlett felt different ever since she was fully mated and bonded to Liam. she could now feel everything. their emotions were shifted to each other and she noticed changes in her as each day passed. she felt stronger than she had before. it was as though a new power had been coursing through her body. she noticed differences in Liam as well. his wolf was stronger and he and his wolf had more endurance than ever before. it was as though their bodies were sharing their strengths and powers with each other. another side effect of their mating was that Scarlett hadn't heard her dragon since they mated. it was as if she went to sleep and hadn't woken up. she could sense she was there but she was quiet. Liams wolf Xander put Scarlett at ease saying he can feel her but she needed time for the change she was going through. their mate bond had increased dramatically. it was an amazing feeling and Scarlett loved every minute of it. they were currently training with the wolves and lycans and Scarlett was able to keep up with some of the best warriors the kingdom had. she was quick and anticipated everyone's movements as though she could see what they were thinking before they even had a chance to react. the warriors were impressed with her ability.

one warrior of the group seemed very interested in Scarlett. he watched her move seamlessly as she sparred with the warriors. afterwards he walked up to Scarlett and bowed showing her respect. " princess Scarlett, my name is Matteo I am a warrior here. I have never seen a female fight like you. may I ask about your training in your kingdom?"

" please call me Scarlett." she watched as Liam came sauntering over. trying to hide his jealousy and posseviness over his mate. he pulled Scarlett close to his side. Matteo bowed his head to Liam. " Liam this is Matteo one of the warriors here. Matteo we actually train in different tactical fields. my father makes sure both women and men can defend themselves equally so we are mixed groups sparring. we train in different settings so that no one acclimated. this keeps you from getting used to your surroundings and better adapting to changes in war situations. so far it has proven successful. most of our training is during the day but we do train at different times as well. sometimes even with sleep deprivation so that our bodies know how to function with the chaos. war is chaos so teaching yourself to focus amongst it is key. otherwise you miss valuable lessons that could cost you or your pack their lives. at least that is what my father always says."

Matteo eyed Scarlett and Liam let out a low growl in warning. she could feel his distrust in Matteo, feeling there was something off. it made her shift uncomfortably in her place next to him. " thank you prince and princess for your time. I should catch up with the others. there is going to be a bonfire tonight you both should come relax and have fun with the others." he waved goodbye running up to a group of warriors.

Scarlett turned to Liam and crossed her arms over her chest. Liams eyes turned to lust as she pushed her breasts out. he instinctively grabbed her by the waist pulling her to his front. " no way mister. tell me what that was all about. I could feel you through the mate bond. it was practically suffocating me. what's going on?"

" Liam...." Scarlett started sprinting towards the palace. " you have to catch me first!" she pushed herself into a full run going faster than she ever had before. she could feel Liam behind her closing in. she could see the palace doors close and she almost made it before she felt liams arms wrapping around her picking her up over his shoulder.

" I caught you! let's go get a shower!" she could feel his laughter rumbling in his chest. she giggled as he ran them upstairs to their suite. once in the room he shut the door locking it behind them. he rushed towards the bathroom setting Scarlett down on her feet. she could feel his desire and lust growing inside of her. she watched as he slowly stripped himself and stood before her naked.
