Chapter 10Eli could hardly breathe. The place was swarming with police—in reality it wasn’t too many, but their emotions all collided in him, and he wanted to run away. Jaecar never let him out of his sight though, and as soon as he edged away from the activity, he was there by his side. “Okay, let’s go.” “Go?” Eli wanted nothing else. His legs had turned into spaghetti, and he believed he could sleep for a week if only he got to be alone. “Yeah, Ric is taking over, and we’ll disappear.” Ric was a scary-looking werewolf, his emotions much less controlled than Jaecar’s.
