Insula, the beautiful home of goddesses and gods is filled with magical and astonishing flowers around. The most anticipated flower season in the realm. Goddesses along with Pallas walked along the flower fields and smile.
"Pallas, try this one," Goddess Mira said and put the flower crown on his head. Mira is his closest friend and the only one who knew his secret.
"Oh my! Pallas, you look like goddess!" Goddess Laylia jokingly said and laughed. Pallas quickly took it off and nervously looked at his best friend. Mira eyed him and silently apologized.
"Laylia, that's not a good joke," Goddess Tamara lectured her and squinted her eyes. Goddess Laylia apologetically smiled at Pallas. He always knew being different in this Kingdom means trouble. He was successful on hiding his true self for years now and he intends to hide that until his last breath.
"You really look good on those," Goddess Mira whispered in his ear. It made his heart at ease. At least his one true friend knows him and that's all that matters. Mira winked at her and they resumed walking until they reached the threshold of the flower field.
"You guys are here too!" Goddess Ceres beamed and held Laylia's hands. "Are you two on a date?" she asked and pointed her fingers to Mira and Pallas. She raised her eyebrows up and down and knowingly smiled.
"What!? Of course not!" Goddess Mira quickly answered and laughed. It's like this when they go out together or with their friends. The two of them were always mistaken as lovers.
"Who was that?" Goddess Tamara asked and pointed a man under the Camphor tree. This man was gorgeous and oozing with s*x appeal unlike the other gods around. Goddess Ceres eyes sparkled as she admire the handsome god before her.
"That's Damaris, he came from Ishval. I really like him but he was too cold!" Goddess Ceres answered. "Pallas, go and talk to him," she ordered while pouting her small pink lips. Pallas pointed a finger on himself.
"Me? Why me?" he asked, confused.
"Of course! You are a man like him, you will surely clicked with him," Goddess Ceres said. "And I tried talking to him but he totally ignored me. Plus, you are very friendly. Pretty please? I want him to join us!" she added desperately. Pallas heaved a sigh and scratched the back of his head. With heavy feet, he walked towards Damaris.
"Hi," he said. His forehead creased when his voice sounded off. Damaris looked at him and back to his book. Pallas decided to sat beside him.
"What are you reading?" he nicely asked, trying to sound friendly as possible. Damaris closed the book and looked at him.
"None of your business," he answered and stood up. Pallas' eyes widened. He quickly held Damaris' hand. It felt like sparks flew when their eyes met. Pallas gulped and released his hand.
"I'm sorry for suddenly touching you," he said and bowed his head. Damaris sighed and sat again.
"What do you want with me?" he asked. "Did the goddesses sent you?" he added and looked behind him where he saw the goddesses squealing like a bunch of children.
"Uhh…yes," Pallas said and blushed.
"Sorry but I'm really not interested on those ladies," Damaris said. Pallas doesn't know why but his heart was beating loudly the way Damaris was speaking."Do you need anything else?" he asked. Pallas shook his head and gave a smile that reached his ear.
"Can you be my friend?" he sincerely asked. Damaris chuckled. The sound of Damaris' chuckle was like a music in Pallas' ears. Damaris took his book and stood up, walking away from him.
"Hey! You didn't answer me!" he shouted. Damaris glanced at him.
"See you around, Pallas," he said leaving Pallas in complete trance. When did he know his name?
Nico snapped out of his deep thoughts and glared at Llenard. He had another flashbacks of those men flashed through his mind. He swat his hand away that was blocking his vision.
"What are you thinking that made you cry a little?" he asked. Nico looked at him weirdly. "I'm talking here but you weren't even listening," he added and sighed. He wiped the tear that fell on Nico's face.
"Sorry," he simply said and backed away a little. Llenard makes him nervous because of his unpredictable actions. Also, seeing those men again made him really emotional. There's so many questions inside his head that wanted answers. Why does he kept on seeing them? Who are they?
"Did you find what you are looking for?" Llenard asked loudly. The in-charge of the room of knowledge glared at him. He smiled and quickly apologized.
Nico grinned at him but it instantly vanished when he saw Llenard intensely looking at him. He cleared his throat and turn the page of the book he was reading.
"I haven't," he honestly answered. Eighteen years and he is still searching for answer about the abnormality in his birth. He read half of the book in here but he still couldn't found a single clue.
"I have a question for you, Nico," Llenard said trying to lower his voice down to avoid being scolded again. He looked around and put the book down. This time he was serious which made Nico gulped.
"What is it?" he asked him.
"Why are they calling you lily boy?" he asked though he already knew this. He wanted to know Nico and it was him who could answer it. He wants to hear it directly from him. Nico sighed.
"I came out from the lily pod," he said and sadly smiled. His whole life was full of pixies judging him for being born differently.
"How could that be possible?" Llenard asked and put his hand on his chin. Nico shrugged his shoulder because like him, he also doesn't have a slightest idea.
"I'm your friend now right?" Llenard asked out of nowhere. Nico nodded his head. For once, it was nice to have a friend aside from his other sister and Dandelion. Llenard smiled and stood up.
"Then, are you up for another fun adventure with me?" he said. Nico's eyes widened in shock. Llenard held out his hand, waiting for Nico to grab it.
"If you don't held my hand, I will shout in here," Llenard smiled mischievously and knowing him, he will really do it. He is deadly serious. Nico hesitantly stood up and held his hand.
"To adventure," Llenard grinned. Together, they walk out of the room of knowledge and flew.
