Speaking of paper balls, there were also no more coming-out-of-nowhere projectiles falling over my head, if not on me. No more pots or board erasers dropping from the sky. No more sudden rain showers from a bucket pouring out the window. No more of my stuff vanishing, only to appear from the sky in shreds. I frowned, thinking about it, as I strolled across the lawn, tucking my hands into the pockets of my cardigan. Have my bullies seen how I have persevered until I slowly gained their respect and admiration, just like those characters in the manga I’d read? Or were they afraid I’d snap one day and beat the living daylights out of them, breaking bones and smashing heads into the wall, just like that girl in that particular magical anime? Or had they finally grown out of that child-like me
