Celine knocked on Rykers door. Talia answered and smiled at her. Celine held up a beautiful dress. Talia recognized it immediately. That's my mother's dress she choked out. Celine walked in and laid the dress on the bed. Your mom had a hidden room that she kept this and her wedding set in just in case something happened to her. She wanted to guarantee that you would have them. Your parents knew Julius was coming for them. He found out about you. That's why she sent you into the woods to play. She knew your instincts would kick in and you would run and he would never find you. After we found out about their deaths we immediately went to make sure you were ok but couldn't find you. I went to her hidden room thinking she had put you there but all I found was her dress, her ring set, and a letter begging us to not look for you till your 18th birthday. So we respected her wishes until your 18th birthday. Julius found out about our friendship and started attacking our village. Taking every young girl to see if she was you, and killing anyone who tried to stop him. Tobias made the agreement to stop the attacks. He never intended to force Ryker to marry Serena. We had a feeling you two would be mates but to protect you both we kept our thoughts to ourselves. She kissed Talia on the cheek and said you are strong just like she was. She begged me to make sure to find you and help you realize your potential. She also begged me to make sure you got her dress and ring. She said they were blessed by the goddess and hold the bonds of many alphas and lunas from past generations. Celine gave her one last kiss on the cheek and left her to get ready. Talia turned at looked at the dress with tears in her eyes. She put it on and walked to the mirror.
