Chapter 6

1035 Words
“Get him down. I need you all to stand in a line,” he mutters. I tilt my head slightly to the left, analysing him. He has this aura around him that says he's a powerful wolf. Not an Alpha though. Maybe second in command or third. I ignore his raised eyebrow at me, and walk closer to him. Stepping into his personal bubble to get closer to the tree, I look as he raises both of his eyebrows at me. “Move, please,” I sigh and he nods, stepping back. He gives me enough room to turn around to Hank. Who's crying. “Did you hurt him?” I turn back to blondie. “Woman, I don't hurt kids. He's up in a tree. If I was going to hurt a kid, I would be up in that tree too. Just get him down, I haven't got time for this,” he scoffs, uncrossing his arms. I roll my eyes, and turn back to Hank. “Come on Hank. Jump down,” I say and he nods. He doesn't hold back from jumping down in my arms, and I catch him quickly, letting a breath out. “Follow me. You need to stand in line with the others,” Blondie says and I nod, walking with him. It's obvious that our pack lost or else this wouldn't be happening. I wonder if Susan is safe? Did she make it to the safe house? What's going to happen to us? I follow blondie to the front of the pack house. Where all of our pack is standing in line. Some people are pulling on shirts quickly, while others are trying to find their mates. I find Susan in the back of the line, and I walk towards her, with Hank holding my hand. I couldn't carry him all the way. “Selina! Oh s**t. Where the hell did you go?” she asks, pulling me closer to her and hugging me tightly. “Out?” I shrug and she rolls her eyes. “Alpha Jacob isn't here. I heard he's dead. Someone killed him.” She whispers to me and I just stare ahead. He's dead. He's actually dead. Do I feel better? No. I wanted to kill him one day. “......Red Moon Pack,” she whispers again and I turn to look at her quickly. “What?” I ask only hearing the ending if whatever she was saying. “This pack. This is the Red Moon Pack,” she says and my eyes widen. This is the pack that Hank’s mum wanted him to go. He has family here. “Do you know what this means?” Susan asks me noticing a big smile on my face. Hank will go to his family and then I can leave. “Alpha Damon.” she mutters to me pulling on my arm slightly. Alpha Damon. The ruthless Alpha. The youngest, most ruthless, Alpha. “One by one,” Blondie shouts loudly as everyone gets into the black vans. We had to leave our pack house behind. We had to leave Blooddiamond Pack and we had to go The Red Moon Pack house. To their territory. It was always said around the pack, that once you stepped into the Red Moon territory, you couldn't leave without a valid reason. My valid reason? I get-got, he's dead Selina- abused by the old Alpha. I want to be free. Hank still clings to me as we climb inside the car. There's only a few people here since we were at the back of the line. Someone from the other pack slams the door close after Susan sits inside. Hank climbs onto my lap, and lay his head against my neck. For a werewolf, Hank is not as clever or doesn't grow as fast as the other wolves. Wolves around his age act like their 10 year old, while Hank is still 5. He's a slow learner when it comes to things. “Is mummy okay?” he whispers to me. Susan looks at me confused. She's never met Hank. She doesn't know who Hank is. I never tell her everything. As much of a best friend she is to me, I've always been a closed book. “Mummy is going to be okay. She's going to be with the angels now,” I whisper back to him. I knew the look in his mom’s eyes. She was gone. There was barely a smile on her face when she sat down with the other guy. He was going to be with her till the end. “Are you okay?” he asks me and I smile at him. “I'm okay Hank,” I reply back, pushing his hair back. He's never had a haircut, so his hair is really long. He nods, and leans back on my shoulder, closing his eyes. I ignore the disgusted looks thrown at me by our own pack members. They never got to know me. Susan and I were just the Omegas of the pack. Everything is going to be okay soon. *** I step out of the car, my eyes widen at the huge pack house. It's twice the size of ours, and our pack house was huge. The car drives past, and I see Blondie walk towards the front of the clearing. All of us huddle around closer, Susan and I pushed to the back. Hank follows behind me. Everyone quietens down to hear what Blondie has to say. “Adam!” Hank shouts, waving at someone. Everyone turns to look at Hank and they look confused. Hank has never been out so nobody knows him. “Shush,” I pull at his hand and he covers his mouth quickly, noticing everyone's stares. Ignoring them all, we head to the back with Susan. “I'm going to be straight with you all. No beating around the bush. Your Alpha is dead-” pack members gasp loudly as if they didn't know already. If he wasn't dead, he would be here with us. “I need you all to listen!” Blondie shouts loudly, and everyone quickly quietens down.
