I looked around to see who I was sensing, it had to be my mate but no one was around. I looked down and saw a mouse scurrying. “Huh… but why woul-Ayden???” I jumped around trying to catch the mouse and it took a while before I did. When I caught him, I held him tight with both hands and I stared at him, while he was close to my face. “Ayden I know it’s you, shift.” I said with a very firm tone and the mouse shifted.
He burst out my hand when he shifted into his human form. “Damn you’re f*****g persistent.” He said and I was right, it was Ayden. He was a lot older now but so was I. He was 6” now, shaggy hair, and muscular. He stayed sitting on the floor.
I panted. “Why were you trying to get away?” Shouldn't he be happy to see me? “What happened after we split two and a half years ago?”
