After Gabriel was done attending to the patient at the hospital in the werewolf world, he left the emergency ward thinking of who he just met while coming.
He was sure that was his sister, her fragrance, her side view, her fashion style were the same as the lady he met earlier. And if it's her what could she be really doing here.
As far as Gabriel knew, Lucinda has never join or got interested in his father's and brother's will schemes. She cared less about it just like him. Or could it be that she came looking for him. All these questions kept on hanging without any answers.
Maria had interrupted his thoughts as she spoke to him from behind.
"I've something I need to tell you." Maria said as she dragged him far outside the hospital.
"I saw someone that looked like Lucinda before I was called by the hospital. I don't know if it's what I'm thinking." Maria said as they got to a safe and secluded area.
This also confirms his suspicion, but he saw how Maria panicked, he decided to calm her anxiety than stressing on the issue.
"You are, definitely correct, but we've to confirm if it's her first before taking any further actions. Just calm down." Gabriel said.
"I'm so sorry to say this. I've always hated Lucinda and those her childish magical spells." Maria said.
Obviously, Lucinda has already entered the werewolf world as suspected by Gabriel and Maria.
She came in few hours ago before 7:pm that day. She was guided through by her father and the witches.
On his father's parting words with his daughter, he told her to study Valerie a lot so she can be her rival and in time be the one to end Valerie. Though that wasn't the plan for Lucinda, but her father had to just chip in that for her consciousness of the mission ahead of her.
As they left, her first stop was at the house of a crossbreed working in government. This was for her to get shelter for all her stay in werewolf world.
Lucinda, finally located the place of her crossbreed brother. But that wasn't all for her she wanted more, for Lucinda, the night had just started.
Immediately she got shelter, she unpacked her stuff, drank the blood she came with. When she was done, she didn't even wait for the crossbreed to tell her the rules of surviving in world of the werewolves, she left immediately in order to explore the new world she had just entered
She immediately left to the where wolves were gathered, she started changing her face to which ever lady she wanted.
She also wished it was the human world, she wanted to feel how it's like hunting the humans for their blood.
She easily blended with everyone with her fake face, she later moved to a gathering. In the gathering it seemed as though they were celebrating something. She decided to join them.
She had a lot to drink as she laughed to the jokes said at the gathering. After a while, someone stood up and addressed the crowd who were lost in their merriment, it took quite some minutes before the addressee could get the attention of everyone.
"Thank y'all for giving me your attention. Now is time for the most important guest in our midst to address us. Valerie you've the floor now." The addressee said as Valerie stood up with her sword.
The crowd were already sitting on the ground, around a fire, they cheered on Valerie as stood to take her speech. She hailed and motivated the crowd of men.
Lucinda needed no one to tell her that this was the Valerie her father told her about. Lucinda admitted to the fact that Valerie looks so intimidating and undaunted. Lucinda got intimated and scared herself, she then realized this was why her father lost to her. Lucinda at that point wanted to give up. But one thought took her back to her father's words. "Be the hero of the underworld." That thought began to kill some intimidation and fear she had inside.
The gathering was for the night rangers, they normally do have sit-out at night fortnightly, and this time they decided to invite Valerie over. Immediately they were done, almost 12:am, Valerie was about to go back to her house when Lucinda tapped her for a quick conversation.
"Hi, I'm Lucy." Lucinda said lying about her name
"I've always heard of you, but never seen you in person. I'm so glad I did today." Lucinda said smiling childishly which was really cute and warm.
"Okay Lucy, how are doing?" Valerie asked
"I was just taking a stroll when I saw you, I decided to join so that I can have the opportunity to talk to you." Lucinda said still smiling.
"That's okay Lucy, but you've to go now, it's really late." Valerie said.
Lucinda agreed and was on her back home while Valerie went her way.
As she got to her temporary shelter, her crossbreed brother handed over to her an interworldly communication device.
"Your father wanted to talk to you while you were gone." The crossbreed handed over the communication device to Lucinda as he left the living room leaving Valerie all alone.
Lucinda got into a call with his father, Lord Zane asked her about her first day experience. She told her father all including her meeting with Valerie.
Lord Zane was quite impressed but warned her to be very careful as Valerie is so dangerous.
As Valerie got back home, Alex wasn't really happy with the fact she left without saying a word or leaving a note for him.
Alex was really angry as he tried not talking to Valerie, he was silent all the time. Valerie kept on pleading on him that it was just a mistake that wouldn't happen again.
And slowly it resulted to an argument, until Valerie said that humans are weaklings and someone like Alex shouldn't be telling her things to. This really got to Alex, which made him to immediately go bed.
Valerie followed him knowing she had messed up.
"Please babe, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that." Valerie apologized as she laid close to him on the bed.
