Everyone stood in silence and confusion to what had just happened, Alex shooting was also unexpected. He explained that he followed Valerie all the way to the human world knowing there was trouble.

Alex also explained, he just shot them out of instinct. He felt they were running away from there crimes and felt the need to hold them back from running.

Valerie walked closer to Irwin and Samuel kneeling on the ground and bleeding profusely. Valerie noticed something as she went closer to them. They were trying to heal their wounds but it wasn't healing because Alex had shot at them with silver bullets.

"You're are crossbreeds, you guys haven't learned any lessons right?" Valerie said to the crossbreeds who were just shot as she moved around them slowly dragging her sword on the ground.

"Because I forgave the other crossbreed, you had the effrontery to come here again. You know what, this time, there isn't any forgiveness for you guys." Valerie said as she lifted her sword to strike them afterwards. But she was stopped immediately by Joe.

"Valerie wait!" Now shouted.

"Who sent you this time? You bastards." Joe said as moved closer to them.

"My brother, I've said that before." Gabriel answered for the already caught crossbreds.

"I know, i wanted to know if it was just dawn or if lord Zane was also involved." Joe replied Gabriel.

"He isn't even aware we are not are the castle anymore. Lord Zane had no idea of Dawn's mission." Samuel replied Joe.

"That means your brother actually wanted to kill you without letting your father know about it. He actually wants to get at us by all means possible, but he always looses. how pathetic of him." Valerie said chuckling.

"You can never win over the underworld, you weakling. Expect something so big from us, when we come here. will be no place to hide, y'all will beg us for mercy, yes I mean, y'all will cry out for mercy. Hahaha!" Irwin said laughing out devilishly.

Valerie couldn't take anymore from him, she hurriedly whip her sword across his neck chopping his head off from his neck. Immediately, Samuel started saying mocking words at Valerie, she wasted no time as she also chopped off his head too.

Their bodies lied lifeless on the ground in the pool of their own blood. Valerie went closer to Gabriel after ending the lives of the infiltrators.

"Gabriel, you've to watch out for yourself ongoing. You're now a target like everyone of us gathered here. The day you denied your being and your world, you became there target. Don't worry you're part of us, but watch out and be careful." Valerie said as she moved out of the scene, Alex also followed her.

Elizabeth apologized to Joe for always getting on his toes and unnecessarily causing him troubles all because of a crossbreed.

Joe accepted her apology, he also apologized for also causing her troubles too, they also pledge to help themselves strengthen their squad.

Few days later, Dawn had received words that Irwin and Samuel, his illegitimate siblings are dead. And not just that, Gabriel his younger brother is still alive.

This wasn't the outcome Dawn was expecting, he wanted things the other way round, he wanted Gabriel dead, while Irwin and Samuel to be alive. He further got infuriated when he heard they were killed by Valerie.

Dawn had also put himself in big troubles knowing that he sent his brothers to die without letting his father know about it. He swore to keep it a secret and tell his father they died while hunting for human blood.

While at it, Lord Zane was busy mapping out plans with his daughter Lucinda, on her entry and mission into the merged world.

It was time to let Lucinda take her part in her father's fight, the witches from the north had already alerted Lord Zane of her time being so close at hand.

Lucinda was ever prepared to make her journey to the merged world. She perfected her magical spells and ordered the finest of seamstresses to design the most beautiful wears for her.

As Lucinda got prepared for her big day, as though it was her birthday, Dawn confronted her telling her to be calm telling her it is not easy as it seems. Lucinda wasn't having any of his advice, she went further to insult him.

It was no news to Lucinda, that Dawn had gone on so many missions independently and failed. He caused a setback for their father when he attacked the werewolves. Lucinda used this point to mock Dawn calling failure doing nothing at his absolute best. That is why she would prefer Gabriel over him anytime any day.

Gabriel, on the flip side, thought of how he could have been killed by his own biological brother. He never thought, in his wildest imaginations that Dawn would pull the trigger at him.

Gabriel pondered on the words Valerie had earlier told him, about him now being the target of his family. He never thought his situation with his family would deteriorate to this point of no return. He still loved his family, he wished his being and that of his family weren't that complicated. As his thought ran deep he was immediately startled by a call.

It was a call from Maria, his attention was needed at the werewolf world, a werewolf had seriously injured themselves while hunting for meat and needed blood to heal unless they die.

Gabriel immediately rushed to the orogun in the werewolf world. On his away met a lady in wearing a cape as he passed her, he could recognized a fragrance he knew too well. He turned to know who it was, the wind blew down the hood of the cape the lady wore. Gabriel only got a glimpse of her side face without fully seeing her face.

"That should be my sister, that must be Lucinda." Gabriel said to himself as he paused in shock. He immediately left the scene to the hospital knowing there was an emergency he needed to handle immediately.
