A Hybrids Tale, Love and lust

chapter 5

Trinity's pov

It's Thursday morning, I'm sitting at my desk in my room awaiting Ashley's arrival, She had just finished her morning chores and went to get changed.

Today she has offered to show me around some of the grounds, show me where the majority of the pack live also where we will be training.

I'm pretty good at making my way around the house now, thanks to Hunter and Dom they have been good, the house has been pretty quiet while I've settled in I'm not too sure but I think maybe Hunter has spoken to everyone asking them to give me space, even Ashley has said it had never been this quiet around here.

As I was putting my hair into a high pony tale when there was a knock from my door, as it opened I saw Ashley poke her head around the door.

"Hi, you ready" She always has a wide smile on her face.

"yep" I replied, jumping up heading out of the door closing it behind me, I follow close behind Ashley as we descend the stairs heading towards the front door.

"Ladies"

I look around to see Dom heading towards the door also.

"Where are you two off to?" he asks directing it towards Ashley.

Ashley looked down going as red as a tomato not saying a word so I cut in

"Ashley kindly offered to show me around outside, So I get used to the area and hopefully meet a few of the pack members"

"nice, make sure you stop by the barn on the way back, I'll introduce you to some of my guys" he winked at us before heading out the door and jogging across the grass.

we follow suit and head out, walking round to the side of the house, "what's in the barn?" I was curious, why would they be in a barn?

she giggles, "It's where we train, it's like the main gym same as the one in the house but like a hundred times bigger"

"Aahhh, sounds interesting, I cant wait to see it," I said excitedly

we head to the side of the house and across the grass where we pass a dirt track and head into the forest, "The track leads about half a mile or so down, a lot of the pack have houses down there with their family's, it's the same as you come down the main drive, there is a small turning just before the main gates that takes you round to more houses, you will get used to it all".

Smiling at her I'm pleased I have her to help me she is so much like Michelle, I miss her

"Exactly how many people are here in this pack?"

"erm... I'd say around 500 a lot of the men sometimes get sent to other packs, help them train and go through attack and defence tactics, all boring stuff" she giggles

"That's why Hunter came to Derek's pack, Michelle said they were talking about rogue attacks"

"Yeah he does with a lot of packs, he has alliances with the majority of the packs, being a hybrid has its perks nobody wants to mess with you unless their crazy, so if we have an alliance they get his protection"

"So basically they have a problem or they are attacked Hunter goes to help?"

"Yeah pretty much, I mean who would want to take on a hybrid an alpha at that, I've heard stories of Hunter, when he went off the rails after his mother died, he had a big fall out with an alpha from some pack, he went mad nearly wiped out the whole pack by himself, Dom had to go to him, calm him down they had to sedate him to bring him back here".

"oh my! that sounds terrible, I couldn't imagine him being like that"

we stayed silent for a short while, making our way through the forest walking along a small footpath that runs around the edge of the perimeter.

"Since you mention Dom what was all that about back at the house? you went so red" I giggled at her

"was it that obvious" she puts her hands over her face in embarrassment?

"yeah just a bit, you like him don't you?"

"who doesn't? he's dreamy!" she starts to go red again, this girl is so bashful.

"Have you told him you like him?"

"NO, and I never will!" she states.

"why, how would he know to make a move if he doesn't know you like him?"

her smile slowly disappears as she looks down watching her feet kicking the tiny twigs as she walks.

"Dom wouldn't be interested, he always has different girls in his room, I could never compare to them, he is way out of my league"

"rubbish! you're beautiful! I'll drop a hint to him for you, find out if he likes you if you want?"

"How embarrassing, please don't!" she begs

" no, it's not embarrassing! anyway I've not seen him with any girls, I've not seen any girls in the house actually where are they all?" why have I only just thought of this? I've seen Ashley and Janet the cook and I've only seen Mary once where are all the women?

"Mary doesn't like women in the house, I'm surprised when Dom told me you were staying in the room next to Hunter's, she gets very jealous"

"What did Dom say to you?" I was curious to know what he had said about me.

"ow just, they brought you back as you had a rough time, Hunter wanted to keep an eye on you as you were like him a hybrid, Dom asked me to make sure you were ok, It was Hunter that first spoke to me about you though"

"When" now I was intrigued.

"When you were travelling back, he rang me and asked to prepare your room, he said that he thought I would like you, which I do by the way" she giggled "And he said you were very important, I thought that was sweet, but it was Dom who told me about the whole hybrid thing".

"ow I didn't know" she must have been the one he rang when I was asleep in the car.

Ahead of us the path splits off three ways tree's and bushes in every direction, " Ok so straight up brings you to a lake, there are a few houses there my parents live there, I only moved into the packhouse eight months ago so I could work, if you go right you head deeper into the forest but you will eventually end up coming out onto the main road that heads into town,

we are going left this will bring us up near the barn where the guys will be"

I had a look around me, it is beautiful here random flowers are growing all around us I could spend hours walking through here.

As we are on the final stretch of our walk, I was curious to know more about Mary, I didn't feel comfortable asking any of the men, I enjoyed talking to Ashley about things.

"could you tell me a bit more about Mary? I've not met her yet" I don't think Dom seems to like her much from the comments he makes when her name is mentioned.

"Yeah, if I'm honest not many people do like her, The way she treats Hunter is not right, there are rumors that she has cheated on him several times, and she is only with him for the money plus she likes to think she is something being with the almighty hybrid"

"He must love her to tolerate her if she is that bad?" I didn't quite understand Hunter doesn't seem like the person who would be pushed around.

"I think maybe he did at one point, only they know the truth but..." she stops placing her hand on my arm holding me back seeing the end of the path I knew we had run out of time she doesn't want to say anymore closer to others, " Sometimes I have to go clean their room up because it's been trashed, like badly smashed up same as his office, they argue alot, not just little arguments but we have all seen she pushes him and pushes him until he loses it"

she moves her hand to mine and squeezes it tightly "If you see it promise me you will just go to your room out the way, don't go anywhere near him ok"

I nod my head in agreeance, Why would she ask that of me? would he actually hurt me? I was speechless I couldn't imagine him being that angry, exactly how far does he go when he's angry.

She smiles releasing my hand, we both turn and slowly walk in silence until we reach the end of the tree line, In front of us there was the large barn, outside there were various mats on the floor with different pieces of equipment placed on them, this is where I first saw the two men sparring when I first came here.

As I follow behind Ashley making our way past the mats, we reach the big glass doors, sliding one of them across we both enter. Inside it was jam-packed with different exercise machines there was at least 5 of each item, there was only a handful of people in there working out, as we walked past them they all turned and smiled at me I did the same back to them.

The further we walk I see three men stood next to what looks like a boxing ring all talking.

"Here they are, come on" Ashley grabs my hand pulling me further through the room.

Dom was the first to turn around and see us "you made it " as soon as he said that the other two men turn round to follow suit, both smiling they say "hi" at the same time

These must be the twins Ashley warned me about yesterday whilst we were eating dinner they are quite the pranksters, "Let me guess, Tom and Lucas?" I say.

"yep" I'm Tom the shorter one replies, they are very much identical, I would say only about 16 scruffy brown hair just long enough so they could run their hands through it quick to style it, muscular bodies and a jawline that could cut cheese! the only difference I can tell is one has blue eyes the other who jumps in with "I'm Lucas" has slightly greener eyes.

"Ah this is Evans, Evans meet Trinity" Dom cuts in as a large man walks over he looked quite intimidating with his shaved head arms bigger than my waistline, he was a mountain!

"nice to meet you trinity" he extends his arm out and shakes my hand.

" so, your one of Ashley's friends?" Tom asks

"I am now, but I got here a few days ago, I didn't really know anyone" I replied honestly.

"cool, so you come to train?" Tom moves towards me leaving little room " You wanna go one on one with me?" giving me a wink.

This boy thinks hes something but before I could reply Dom cut in between us pushing Tom back by his chest.

"Stand down casanova! there is no way I'm letting you in that ring with her, she would eat you for breakfast, and that's before she's started her training"

He took another step towards me ignoring Dom "eat me for breakfast aye, I wouldn't mind that" he reached out his arms as though he was going to grab my waist but Dom was quick to move in front of me blocking his path.

"Are we going to have a problem here?" lowering his voice Dom seemed quite scary, this is the first time I've seen the dominant side of Dom.

"I'm only teasing man" Tom tried to laugh it off knowing he had crossed a line. Dom continues to stare him down not taking his eyes off him.

"What's going on here?" we all turn to look at Hunter apart from Dom who is still eyeballing Tom.

" Romeo here seems to of taken a liking to Trinity and wants to put his dirty hands on her!" Dom informs him. whilst still staring Tom down.

"No it wasn't like that alpha, I was just having a laugh I didn't mean......"

"OK," Hunter cuts him off as he comes to a stop in front of him alongside Dom, looking at me seeing I wasn't fazed by his actions he turned back to Tom "put your hands on her then!"

"What?" Tom replied nervously obviously confused at his response Dom was also looking at Hunter, his eyebrows creased as he copied Tom's "what?" just pitched slightly higher,

Hunter stepped towards me placing his hands on my shoulders " get in the ring, show him why he shouldn't touch you, it's about time a female shut him up" he leant close to whisper "please try to avoid his throat" he asked with slight amusement in his tone.

I put my trust in Hunter, Not knowing what to do I make my way to the ring, slipping off my shoes and climbing through the ropes, I reach the middle and turn to see Tom slowly making his way into the ring looking at me a bewildered look on his face.

"I'm sorry, I'll go easy" he said in a low whisper not meaning for this to happen.

"No need to take it easy hybrids are built to endure a lot of pain," Hunter said smiling.

Tom's face drops turning back to Hunter "she's a hybrid?" he squealed, knowing there is no way out of the situation he has got himself into he looks at me as the colour drained from his face muttering to himself "s**t".

I see a smile cross Evans and Ashley's faces then I look towards Dom who looked at me nodding towards Tom as if to say attack now.

I saw Tom's face flash with fear as he looks me up and down obviously looking for a weakness, I don't give anything away as I stood my ground not moving.

he slowly began walking around me thinking of his best attack, I stay still closing my eyes listening to his footsteps as he goes behind me, I hear a slight pause, he's going to grab me from behind to try and take me down.

I listened and waited until he is close enough twisting my whole body round capturing his wrist in my right hand pulling him forward slightly so he takes a step forward with his right leg, lifting my foot to stand on his leg I hoist myself up grabbing the back of his neck with my left hand pulling myself up kicking my left leg round over his shoulder so I was now fully sat on his shoulders legs wrapped around his neck, before he had time to register what was going on I twisted my body round with such force he immediately collapsed to the floor as I twist I am able to come to his front so I am left standing, looking down at his now very red face watching his gasp for air as a result of me winding him as he hit the floor.

Hearing cheering I look up to see Ashley clapping her hands, I walked out of the ring slipping my shoes back on while Tom was still getting up from the floor. Dom came over and hugged me, I heard Evans turn to Hunter "she's got the speed I'll give her that" Hunter smiled at me "that she has!"

I start to speak to Dom and Evan's about future training we agree I officially start on Monday only Evans, Dom or Hunter will train with me as a safety precaution until I learn more control.

I start to zone out from the conversation seeing Tom and Lucas walking away Hunter suddenly takes hold of Tom's upper arm, I see him lean into him so I listen carefully wanting to hear what he say's "You touch her or go near her again I will be the one getting in that ring with you, understood!" Tom doesn't look at the hunter he keeps his head down in a submissive manner "Yes alpha, I'm sorry" Hunter lets go straightening himself out looking my way, I look back towards Dom pretending not to of heard them.

I head back to the house with Ashley and Hunter talking about the party tomorrow night everyone has been invited, I can't wait to meet everyone.

hopefully Tom is ok with me, he is young he was only messing around I took no offence.

Hunter says his goodbye's and leaves me and Ashley heading towards the staircase, "Time to pick out our outfits for tomorrow" she shouts happily pulling my arm up the stairs, for once I was so excited I couldn't wait to be able to get ready to go to a party with my friend, I'm finally normal.
