“Please shut your girl up,” Sage whispered to me when Hannah was bawling her eyes out on the movie that we’re watching. I glared at him. “Could you blame her? We’re watching a drama, moron!” I hissed. Sage rolled her eyes at me. “Is that even normal?” he muttered to himself and continued watching the movie. This was a free cut for all of us so we decided to spend it here at my place because Hannah is supposed to come. I don’t want her to come to our HQ because I don’t want the boys to get mad at me. The rest of us are already sleeping on this boring movie. Sage was busy glaring at Hannah who bawling her eyes out at this sad father-daughter scene. I wrapped my arm around Hannah’s shoulders and pulled her closer to me. “Stop crying,” I whispered. I am trying to stop her for real because Sage looks like he’s about to turn the f*****g TV off. Hannah looked at me with tears flowing from her eyes. I sighed and wiped her tears. “This is so sad,” she spoke. I nodded as I continued to dry her tears. “I know,” I said. “But you shouldn’t cry this hard.” I wanted to add more but Sage sounded like he was puking from my other side. Hannah nodded and took a deep breath. “Can we get ice cream after this?” she asked in her sweet voice. I nodded. “Sure, babe.” She smiled and then hugged me. She rested her head on my chest and we stayed that way until the credits were played on the screen. Sage immediately turned the lights on waking everyone up. Hannah was widely smiling at me. “Shall we go?” she asked. I nodded and then looked at my friends. “Are you coming? We’ll eat ice cream out,” I said. They all nodded while Sage was busy shaking his head at me. What the hell is his problem? He’s too sensitive! ~*~ We all decided to eat at the ice cream parlor and café near my place because they are all too tired to think of where a good place is. They had just woken up so their minds are not functioning well yet. We entered the café and looked for a table that would fit us all when I saw a familiar figure from the other side of the place. “Eunice is here with her friends,” Sage whispered before walking towards the counter to choose what to buy. I took a deep breath and looked to where Eunice and her friends are. I could see that she has a band aid on her neck. I wonder where she hurt herself. Honestly, these past few days, Eunice had been a little tamer. She’s not the usual snarky one. I think it was because of our small talk before we had the dance lesson. “Josiah?” I snapped out from my thoughts when I heard Hannah’s voice. I looked at her and saw her looking at me weirdly. “Are you alright? You seem like you’re thinking about something deeply,” she commented as she clung onto my arm. I shook my head and smiled weakly. “I just thought I saw someone I know,” I replied. She nodded and then led me towards the counter where all of my friends are at. Hannah scanned the menu and the ice creams on the display. “What do you want?” I asked. She smiled and pointed at the chocolate mint ice cream. “Can I have two?” she bargained as she pulled out her puppy eyes at me. I laughed and shook my head at her face. “Sure, babe. You can have what you want,” I replied before kissing her cheek. She giggled and lined up to get her the ice cream. My friends are already waiting for their orders when I was next in line with Hannah. “Eunice, do you want some coffee?” “No, I guess I need to sleep tonight. I haven’t slept a wink last night.” I pursed my lips in a thin line as I heard Eunice’s voice. She sounded tired because her voice was raspy. “Hey,” Stan looked behind me. “Hi,” I heard Eunice say. Hannah looked back, making me do so even if it was against my desire. She smiled at Eunice and at her friend. “Hi,” Hannah said before looking at Stan. “Your friend?” she asked innocently. I looked at Eunice who seemed to be so exhausted. Also, she didn’t only have a band aid on her neck. She also has one on her arm. I wonder where this girl went to acquire these wounds? Eunice and her friend looked at each other, seemingly not aware of what Stan is going to answer. “Yes, we’re friends,” Eunice replied when Stan couldn’t speak. “We are from the school.” Hannah nodded. “So you know my boyfriend?” she asked Eunice and her friend. I heard someone clearing his throat and I’m guessing it’s Bradley or Charles. Eunice looked at me and smiled weakly before looking at Hannah again. “Ah, yes. He’s a friend of Stan, so I know him.” Eunice’s friend smiled widely at me and Hannah. “I’m Nanette. What’s your name?” she asked Hannah. “I’m Hannah,” she extended her hand. Nanette shook my girlfriend’s hand. “Nice to meet you, Hannah. This is my friend, Eunice.” “Hi, Eunice!” Hannah beamed at her and shook her hand too. Eunice seemed awkward with Hannah. Well, I am, too. I did not ask for this scenario to happen anytime soon. I mean, we haven’t even been married and I’m this nervous. What more when we already are? “What are you doing here? Free cut, too?” Stan asked Eunice. She nodded. “The girls wanted to hang outside school so…” she shrugged. Stan nodded and then looked at me. “Are you not going to order yet?” he asked me. Fuck. I nodded and immediately ordered what Hannah wants. I also ordered an Espresso frappe for me. I can hear Stan talking to Eunice. She sounded decent when she was talking to him. She sounded friendly. I have never heard her use that tone when she was speaking to me. Hannah was also talking to Nanette and they all seem normal. “This is f****d up.” I looked at Dorian who whispered those words to me. He looked so serious that I think he’d punch someone soon. Well, he said he liked Eunice. Is he mad because we had to accidentally meet Eunice here? I ignored him and paid for my order. The cashier smiled at me. “Here’s your change, sir. You can wait for your order on the side,” she instructed me and I vacated the area. Hannah walked towards me with a huge smile. “She looks familiar,” she uttered. “Who?” I asked. “Eunice,” she said. “Actually, Nanette seemed familiar, too.” I nodded. “Maybe you saw me when you were in a mall or something,” I told her to dismiss this subject. I don’t like this topic. She nodded and waited for the order with me. I watched Eunice and her friend walk towards the counter and ordered. I’d have to tell her not to tell my mom she saw me here with Hannah or else I’ll be doomed. I looked at my friends who are shaking their heads at me. Damn.
