Lisa and Didi exchanged a glance and smiled at the stranger. "Not at all," Lisa said. "We're just enjoying the music and the company." The young man nodded and introduced himself as Alexander. Kelly looked at Alexander. "He is my brother's friend, Alexander." "Wow, your brother's friend is very handsome and stunning, like a god," Didi said, admiring Alexander's handsomeness. "Your brother's friend is very handsome and jovial. I feel like he's not an ordinary person, and I feel like I have heard that name before," Lisa said, trying to remember. Alexander and Kelly exchanged glances. "Nice to meet you," Alexander said, narrowing his eyes as he looked at them. Lisa and Didi murmured a greeting, feeling a bit awkward. They didn't know what to make of Alexander, but they could sense a hint of tension in the air. "Where's your brother?" Lisa asked Kelly, trying to make small talk. Kelly hesitated, her expression uncomfortable. "He's not coming," she said quietly. Lisa and Didi exchanged a curious glance. Alexander's expression turned serious, his eyes glinting in the light. "Let's just say that her brother is a private person," he said, his voice dripping with understatement. The conversation was interrupted by the sound of clinking glasses and the emcee's voice announcing the start of the bidding auction. Lisa and Didi watched in awe as the bidding began, and the numbers skyrocketed into the millions. As the emcee's voice echoed through the grand ballroom, a hush fell over the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the most anticipated bidding event of the season! Our first item up for bid is a rare 19th-century oil painting by the renowned artist, Pierre-Auguste Renoir." Didi's eyes widened as she gazed at the painting, her heart racing with excitement. Lisa, standing beside her, seemed equally captivated. Meanwhile, Kelly was busy scanning the room, her eyes locked on the bidders. Alexander, Kelly's brother's friend, sit beside the girls at the edge of the room, his eyes fixed intently on Lisa. He had been looking forward to this night all week, eager to see Lisa. The bidding began, and Didi was quick to raise her paddle. "Five thousand dollars," she called out, her voice confident. Lisa's eyes sparkled with excitement as the bidding escalated. Ten thousand, twenty thousand, fifty thousand... The numbers kept climbing, and Didi's determination never wavered. Meanwhile, Kelly was engaged in a fierce battle with a rival bidder, each trying to outdo the other. Alexander watched, intrigued, as the bidding reached a fever pitch. As the night wore on, the tension in the room grew. Who would take home the coveted painting? As the bidding continued, the excitement in the room reached a crescendo. Didi had secured the Renoir painting, and Kelly had outbid her rival for a rare diamond tiara. Lisa, however, had yet to find her treasure. The emcee announced the final item up for bid: a stunning, 24-karat gold necklace adorned with a delicate filigree design and a sparkling diamond. Lisa's heart skipped a beat as she gazed at the necklace. She had never seen anything so beautiful. She wished with all her heart that she could own it, but the price was too high. She knew it was impossible. She didn't have enough money on her to bid now. As the bidding began, someone's eyes locked onto Lisa. On the first floor of the grand ballroom, a mysterious figure sat in the shadows, watching Lisa with an intensity that made her skin prickle. He noticed her gaze fixed on the necklace, and a hint of a smile played on his lips. Alexander, who had been uninterested in bidding all night, suddenly received a message on his phone. He opened it, and his eyes widened as he read the words: "Bid on that necklace and get it for me. I will send you the money later." As Alexander raised his paddle to bid on the necklace, Lisa couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. Who was this Alexander, and why was he bidding on the necklace? She had only met him briefly, introduced by Kelly as her brother's friend, and didn't know him well. As the bidding for the necklace began, Alexander knew he had to act fast. The starting price was five hundred million dollars, and he could see a rival bidder, a determined-looking woman, already raising her paddle. Alexander waited, observing the bidding war unfold. The woman bid 550 million, and another bidder jumped in at 600 million. Alexander watched, calculating his next move. At 650 million, the woman bid again, her eyes fixed intently on the necklace, 700 million. In the crowd, a woman asked her companion, "Can you get that necklace for me, baby?" looking at him seductively. Her companion smiled, "Do you want the necklace?" The woman nodded and said, "Yes, I love it and I want to have it, please." The man raised his paddle, "800," everyone looked at him. "800 million dollars going once," the emcee announced. Alexander knew he had to act quickly. He raised his paddle and bid 1 billion dollars. The room fell silent as all eyes turned to Alexander in suprise. The other guy's face immediately soured as he hesitated, then bid 1.2 billion dollars. Alexander smiled, realizing he needed to end this. He raised his paddle for the last time, bidding for 1.5 billion dollars. Everyone was shocked, including Lisa and Didi. They didn't know this guy, but the way he casually threw around such huge amounts of money was shocking. All the women, both young and old, were amazed and attracted to Alexander's wealth and looks, so they started fawning over him. The emcee's voice rang out, "Going once... going twice... sold to the gentleman in the back for 1.5 billion dollars!" The auction ended, and Alexander stepped forward to claim the necklace. As he turned to leave, he caught Lisa's eye and smiled warmly. Lisa felt a flutter in her chest, uncertain of how to interpret this stranger's kindness. Kelly approached them, her face showing curiosity. "big brother Alex, why did you bid on the necklace? You didn't show interest in anything else all night." Alexander's smile widened. "Let's just say I'm doing a favor for a friend." Lisa's eyes narrowed, still uncertain of Alexander's intentions. But as he turned to depart, he whispered, "You look stunning in red, Lisa. The necklace would suit you perfectly." With that, he vanished into the crowd, leaving Lisa bewildered and pondering the meaning of his words. "Didi smiled and said, 'Your brother's friend must come from a very rich background.' Kelly smiled in agreement, replying, 'Yes, he comes from a wealthy family. He's quite spoiled.' She picked up her bag as they all left the ballroom. Meanwhile, on the first floor, a mysterious person watched as they all left the manor before leaving the ballroom.". "Didi breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed in the car, admiring the beautiful oil painting she had just acquired. Lisa and Kelly looked at her with shining eyes and started laughing. "Guys, where are we going from here?" Sophia asked excitedly, embracing her two friends. This question ignited Didi's spirit as her mind shifted from the oil painting to thinking of where to go and have fun, uncertain if Lisa would ever have fun with her again. This thought dimmed her mood." Hello, beautiful ladies," the man greeted them as he approached. Lisa and her friends looked up to see who the newcomer was. The man came up to them and smiled slyly and cunningly, his eyes lingering on their beautiful figures. Kelly, Lisa, and Didi furrowed their brows, starting to feel uncomfortable due to the man's gaze. Didi became angry and wanted to get rid of the man immediately. "How may we help you?" she asked. The man's gaze remained fixed on Lisa's figure as if he could see through her clothes. "Let's just ignore him. Maybe something is wrong with him," Kelly suggested. "He behaves like a foolish idiot." They started laughing, and the man's face turned sour. Just then, Kelly's phone vibrated in her purse. "I need to take this call; my parents are calling," she said before moving aside.
