Chapter 5: Pain

I woke up to pain in my chest, I was sweating and I knew it was because Emerie was being intimate with Drax, I got up and went to the gym to burn the pain off. I had gotten accustomed to it, and it is what drives me to stay focused on my team, two of my men were sent out to take out an important minister with the council, he was a child rapist and we hate those. I had pending contracts in Ravena and we were anonymous, no one knew who we were and that was for security reasons. We would have a lot of enemies if they knew who headed my organization and I believe some people were trying to figure out who we are but we are a secretive group and sworn to secrecy. We were considered all brothers in arms including the two females who made the team, the last hit I was on, was a tough one as the Alpha was a strong son-of-a-b***h and he did not go easily, his son was running the pack now and hopefully, he doesn't turn out like his father.

I had just finished with the sandbag when one of my ladies-in-waiting walked over to me with a bottle of water and I said, "You up early," she smiled and said, "I couldn't sleep, so I went for a walk." She looked at me seductively and said, "I can help you burn off steam," I was about to take her up on the offer but I didn't want to hurt Emerie. I knew I would have to face her somehow and also come clean to Drax but right now, my focus was Toffe, we needed to find him so I told her, "Another time," and decided to head down to my office early, there was a strong possibility that Toffe was the Fourth Supreme. Aidan's ball was approaching and so was Allison's coronation, Omri was getting things ready with my mother and I was happy for Cayden. I see Kaitlyn around sometimes but this time around, we keep our distance, I am still angry about the child I would have had if she had believed in me but her father won again. I see Lord Fehmir mingling with Elder Eric a few times and I wondered what these two poisonous snakes were up to but I just let it be, "One day, I will kill him," I thought.

I headed down to my office anyway to get work done, I had one of my men looking into intel about Roman's prison that we had found, and we had an inside man who believed his high-end prisoner was, Toffe. I didn't say anything until our men were in place and the information checked out, it was time to get the kid back, and Pearson ran into the room saying, "It's him," he showed me what he confirmed and I linked my brother about the news. Cayden went ahead telling me to get my men ready and as we approached the plane, I was told Ty was on his way, he wanted to be there while we rescued his brother. We weren't going to say no to our superior who was hellbent on finding his brother and mother. This was all he cared about when he got back but the cloaking and moving around all the time made it harder for us to pinpoint over the years, as our allies grew, we were learning more things, and everyone wanted Roman gone.

Day of the Rescue

I laid back on the plane watching my brother converse with Ty, he was huge, they seem to have gotten bigger over the years, and believe me, he was huge, I was wondering, "What the f**k do these guys eat?" He looked at me linking, "Do you like what you see, fairy?" I linked back, "f**k off, you and Drax would enjoy sucking my d**k," and a link came through, "How the f**k did I get in this conversation?" Ty laughed, I said, "You open the link to him, why?" Ty said, "You two need to f**k at least once to get it out of your system, the tension between you two, could kill a man," and I said, "No chance in hell, Drax won't be able to take my cock." Drax said, "I am top buddy, you would be the one being bent over, remember that," before we closed the link, my best friends were crazy, even though they were my superiors, they still treated us the same way and I respected that. We made it to the boat and we were getting things in place to go down, this was a secret mission and only a few knew.

Cayden was showing Ty what we knew and I went over pointing out the location of my men undercover. We would get in and out as fast as we could, hopefully, without many casualties. Ty looked at the map and plans, my men felt uneasy, his aura had risen forcing us to submit and he said, "No one leaves without my brother, understood," and we nodded in understanding. Ty wanted his brother out today and he will not leave until we have Toffe, we change into our missionary clothes and check our weapons to make sure that we don't f**k up. As we ended up in the block where Toffe was being held, most prisoners were asleep and the guards were sedated. We found a door with stairs behind it that led to Toffe's cell. The prison had grey walls and a lot of silver bars and it smelled like dog s**t in some areas. Some cells had metal doors that were supposed to be impenetrable, it took us a while to crack the code to unlock the cell, which by accident triggered the silent alarm, someone would pay for this when we got back.

They should have known about this, I thought to myself. Toffe was weak, so we sedated him, it was easier to carry him that way, and one of my men threw him over his shoulder, he would survive but needed to be carried as well. We jumped out of the tower window and one of my men was hit by a bullet and fell to the ground as the bullet broke his wing. I looked around us and when we understood what was happening, Toffe was falling to the ground with one of my soldiers who was also hit. We were shocked but not surprised as guards and wolves in wolf form started to surround us. Our second team arrived to help us but we were taking on serious gunfire and I had no choice but to ask for help. I was not leaving my men that were down here, they had families and they were going to return them dead or alive. We could handle them, but not with Toffe so weak, our Gamma would have our heads for this if anything happened to his brother.

Ty showed up all wolfed out and killing men without mercy, it was a sight to see, he grab Pearson smelled him looked at Toffe, and said, "Leave, get out of here," and he was standing on his hind legs before howling to distract the prison guards and men who worked at the facility. Pearson and I grabbed Toffe off the ground and I linked my men to retreat and we flew off, I returned to the boat and our healer was waiting on Toffe, he was in bad shape and was placed on drips and oxygen. We felt the boat shake and it was Ty all covered in the enemy's blood, we backed off not wanting to provoke the beast, he was dripping with c*****e. I felt drawn to that power somehow but I snapped out of it as Ty looked at his brother and smiled before saying, "Let's go home." Ty cleaned up and Cayden erased all evidence of us being there, the mission was a success, Ty would not leave his brother's side and we gave him the space he needed.

Toffe was thin, near skeletal, that son-of-a-b***h was starving the kid, unkept dirty long hair and beard, and he had scars on his back from beatings with silver, I wanted to kill Roman myself. Hours later, Toffe was back at the pack house and the others ran into the room to see him, but he was in a coma, and his wolf wouldn't heal him. Ty was anxious thinking he was too late and I left to give them privacy. Drax walked into me hugging me saying, "Thank you for bringing the kid back to us," and I smiled as Drax looked into my eyes saying, "I wish you did bat for my team," and walking down the hall heading to the infirmary. I saw Emerie and my heart skipped a beat, she bowed avoiding my eyes for some reason but I let it slide, "Your Highness," she said, as she curtsied, it was cute and I smiled. She said, "Thank you for everything, Drax will appreciate it," and I wanted to kiss her so badly but I left.
