So this stays between us and who else is involved," then we heard shots and a loud bang before everything went black. I woke up as my eardrums seemed to be hurting badly, I could hear screams in the distance, I saw the dust flying around, and felt the heat of the fire in the cafeteria. I turned to see my mother screaming and feeling a pain in my chest, I saw Cayden looking at my father who was dead and I saw rage, I went over to him put his head in my lap hugged him, and said, "Not like this, dad, not like this," before I finally see the rage in Cayden's face before he spread his wings and took off. I yelled, "Find out who killed my father, now," before my mother passed out in my bodyguard's hand.

I felt my dark magic getting stronger, I struggled to contain it for so many years and it wanted out, I don't know if I can continue to contain my dark magic in the future but I will try as it is part of me. I couldn't let anyone know I was a Crowned King before it was time, so I held my aura in and went over to my mother, placed her in the limo, and told my guards to take her home. I kissed my father's forehead as my tears touched his face, I loved him so much, whoever did this will pay with their life. I was directing the removal of the bodies after being checked out by the doctor on site, he said, "You will heal eventually, Your Highness," but the pain of losing my father was too much. My father was my rock and I know I will avenge him for my mother's sake, Cayden has blocked me but I know he is okay as I can still feel his and my mother's sorrow.
