Chapter 13: Problems

I have been away for a while working with Ty on the rogues' problems on the European side of things, I also have been trying to find ways to help break the curse placed on Allison and my brother. I do not trust Bradley, there is something off about him and when Cayden called to tell me that he has been feeling weird about Kaitlyn and drawn to Allison, I begged him to delay the coronation. Max had a hand in this somehow and Bradley was hiding things, I just needed proof, I was heading to the nursery to see my daughter after the nanny said she was asleep. Arielle looked so adorable in her crib and I turned to go find my wife, my son was in school so I would see him later. I saw Lord Fehmir heading to his office and he said, "My Lord, you are back," and bowed, I knew it was fake so I played along.

I bowed and he said, "Your brother is having lunch with his fiance, you future Queen," and that was it right there, trying to get under my skin. I have hardened my heart towards her over the years, I can safely say, I hate her, her very existence annoys me. Especially, knowing they have Cayden wrapped around their finger, she is so close to becoming Queen and I know for a fact if she does, they will try to banish me and remove my titles. Cayden is under a spell somehow and I need to figure it out because my brother would never be so dumb and marry Kaitlyn but hurt will make you do silly things, trust me, I know it, I have been there. I walked over to the gym where my wife was as she was still not back out to work yet, she had taken time off to be at home with our kids, Even though we have a nanny because, for Royals, it was mandatory. The doctor was called and he was given time to rest, I stayed in his office and pulled the footage from my laptop of his office to see what happened. She didn't put anything in his drink, just massaged him which is quite harmless but then I saw it, the ring on her finger. It glowed, as it touched his skin, maybe I was paranoid but I needed to be sure so I played it again.

I mind-linked Gamma Ty as he opened a portal for me to walk through, he saw what I saw and said, "If it's dark magic, it will affect him but not you." I looked at him puzzled, and he smiled, and said, "You are Dark Fae, Michael and he is Light Fae, dark magic won't affect you just as light magic won't affect him, you are each other opposites. You should take your place on the throne, you both are unstoppable that way." We assume that Kaitlyn is working for someone to sway Cayden's mind and Ty suggests I smartly get her blood so he can read her mind, we don't want to scare the culprit off. We just hope she hasn't started to poison his mind just yet or it would be hard to convince him she is bad news, I know the way Cayden acts sometimes, she may have started to poison his mind. I was worried for my brother, he was stubborn in his ways and we usually fight about it but I couldn't fail him, not on something so serious as this.

I was asleep and I woke up to moans coming from the next room, my brother and I share a penthouse suite, I was younger but for some reason, he always acts like the younger one, we were five years apart. I was naked because we ended up calling the maid after all, we made her quit her job, and she was now our live-in girlfriend on contract. Bonnie was living it up but hey, we had more than enough, she deserved it after putting up with both of us anyway. I smelled the breakfast being made and I knew our cook was up, then I heard the door, seemed like my brother had finished f*****g Bonnie. I got up to shower when I smelled Bonnie at my door, I turned to see her with a robe on and walked over to me giving me her neck so I could drink.

I smiled because drinking from the vein is for two things intimacy and killing, every other vampire usually buys blood in blood stores, one of the rules by the Vampire King. He gave me my daylight ring and said, "This one is for your brother," explaining that I should never take it off before using a light spell just in case I forgot. My brother's ring was identical to mine but had our initial and Vivianne's symbol on the inside, Creed showed me the apartment I would be staying at. He assigned Vorloff who is still my butler or cook today, we are good friends although he works for me, and he is also my bodyguard in disguise.

He knows we are wanted men but the spell we have on ourselves hides our true identity, he looked at me and I continued to read the newspaper.
