Drax

After my encounter with Aidan, all had been forgiven, and he understood the friendship I had with Michael and was not happy with the way things had turned out but we were hopeful. Ty's plan was genius if Emerie chose Michael, I was hoping that their true mate bond would win since there was no magic holding her back. He forced these feelings on her and I hated that because I had loved Emerie once and she is one of my best friends along with Michael. I will never let Marcus take her away, I would defy Aidan and kill him first as long as it didn't hurt Emerie in any way. We didn't know the side effects if we made moves out of emotion and I understood Aidan's judgment in that aspect but this will bid us some time. Aidan went back to his mini vacation with Toffe on his heels it was up to Ty and I to ensure that Emerie chose Michael without interference.

Marcus was free to roam but I had assured him that guards were going to stop him from going anywhere near her quarters. I saw that Emerie was fighting the pull with Marcus and having second thoughts but I would distract her and remind her about her kids and how they were glad she was home. She would take the bait, Michael, at one point, wanted to know what happened in the meeting but I couldn't tell him if not he would force Emerie and I couldn't do that so I told him that Aidan would decide when he returned. Ty was keeping Aidan posted on what was happening, I was so tempted to spell Emerie to choose Michael but Aidan would know so I kept my distance.

As the days went on, it was getting closer to the trial date and we were no closer to finding out what transpired that Michael had no memory of the deal. All we knew was, that some witch was involved that erased his memory or something more sinister was at play. Ryker was in the room as I was putting my shirt on as he was upset about some rumors he heard but never clarified what they were about, he filled me in on Marcus's whereabouts and had his brother transported to a prison back at Frogger Forest. I sensed there was more he wanted to tell me but I let it slide, he would tell me when he was ready. Emerie walked in catching us in a heated kiss and Ryker excused himself, I saw her face, she had been crying and looked lost.

"Hey, Drax, I need your help," she said and I saw her fear and tears, I rushed over to her and said, "What's wrong, love?" She explained that she was confused and wanted to be with her family after her son, Asher, begged her not to leave again. She was going to choose Marcus but couldn't, she was angry that the bond was strong and her wolf was silent because she wanted, Rune and Michael. I hated what Marcus did to her and I knew the bond was fighting, I wanted to jump for joy but I held it in. Emerie remembered the hatred she had for Marcus, the more she thought about it, the more he invaded her dreams, the more he begged her to come to him.

Her memories of Marcus being the bad guy since Michael briefly told her why she felt like going to him more, she realized he had been manipulating her but her wolf was still in love with, Rune. Davien told me there was a spell to help soothe her without much interference and I smiled that her bond was fighting back since Micahel was around her, I thanked Toffe, he was a genius. Emerie thanked me for helping her, I added a bit more into the spell because Michael is my guy and he will get his mate back.

Emerie

I felt the bond snap into place a few weeks ago with Marcus, he had been linking me, torturing me to come to him and bringing our son, our bond is growing and I hated it. I decided to go to Drax for help as he wouldn't let me sleep and I almost went to him feeling the need to have him inside me and I knew he was playing with me. Michael had just told me he had invoked an ancient law and I was furious. He didn't explain the law, sparing me the details, but I was fighting to go back to Marcus, the pull was strong. "Hey, Emi," Drax said, without looking at me, I had walked in on Drax kissing Ryker, who smiled at me and left the room, so we could talk. "Hey, Drax, I need your help," I said and he saw my fear and tears, he rushed over to me and said, "What's wrong, love?" I explained about my nightmares and my inability to be intimate with Michael because of Marcus and he hugged me and said, "I could help," I replied, "Anything please, I don't want, Marcus."

Drax explained he could suppress my memories of Marcus and help the trauma he caused, I said, "Heal that trauma but I don't want to forget what that man did to me, I want to grow from it and be a better mate for Michael and Bashien, I want to be the Queen he deserves." Drax smiled and said, "Close your eyes," I felt all the weight and anxiety wash away, my bond to Marcus was in the background as he suppressed that as well, he blocked my mind from being invaded by Marcus and I kissed his cheek thanking him, I just wanted to be with Michael and my kids. After leaving the room, I felt like a weight was off my shoulders, I could barely feel Marcus now and I was beginning to feel something for Michael again. My love for my family was there and I rubbed my belly fearing what Aidan's judgment would be, I was choosing Michael but what if Aidan forced me back with Marcus?

I closed my eyes and started thinking positively for a change and decided I wanted Marcus's mark gone so I closed my eyes and Diamond said, "Are you rejecting him?" I said, "Yes, we don't belong with him and I promise you, you will love Michael," she said, "Okay." I said, "I, Emerie Sparks, reject you, Alpha Marcus of Blood Ridge Pack as my Alpha, Mate, and Luna, forever severing this bond," I felt pain before Drax took it away. I didn't even know he was behind me and he made sure that Marcus never felt the bond breaking, I hugged him crying and he told me, "Go, be with your husband," and I ran off to look for him. Michael was training so I decided that I would let him mark me, I changed out of my clothes and put a robe on, I looked at my belly and hoped this wouldn't stop him, I was bigger now. I entered the room and he was in the shower he turned to me and I dropped the robe.

Michael

I was in the gym working off my troubles, I was pissed at the situation my family was in, and I knew my wife loved Marcus and he was playing a deadly game. I overheard her linking Marcus, he was getting her to fall for him more and there was nothing I could do, she talked in her sleep. She was having nightmares and she moaned in her sleep as he entered her dreams probably making love to her and I was furious. Cayden told me about a lead and had an emergency meeting being called to discuss the findings but he pushed me instead to go spend time with Emerie, there was something they were not telling me and it was pissing me off. I walked over to my quarters and headed to take a shower to relax before I sensed my mate entering the room, she was so beautiful even though she gained a bit of weight, but I loved her regardless.

Emerie looked at me wearing nothing but a robe and dropped it and although her belly was round with our child, she was still so attractive and sexy, my d**k was hard immediately. She joined me and I welcomed her touch and asked, "Are you sure, you are ready for this? I can wait, Emi," looking at her deep into her eyes as they flickered, it was her wolf, Diamond, and I asked, "Diamond, does Emi want this or did you take over?" "Yes, she wants this, Your Majesty," before she planted her lips on mine in a passionate kiss, both of us breathless, I wanted her so badly to wear my mark but I couldn't since the law was invoked. I linked her, "Let me talk to Emi to make sure," Emi came forward and said, "I want this, I am fine, Drax helped me with the flashbacks." I looked at her and she kissed me, and said, "Make me yours," I turned the shower off, lifted her, wrapped her legs around me, and walked over to the bed.

I lay her on the bed gently, kissing her neck where she would be marked and her body shivered in anticipation as she let out a slight moan. I wrapped my mouth around her erect areola, and she lifted her back off the bed, feeling the sensation. I kissed her pregnant belly while singing a song for our son to help him relax, he was kicking up a storm, I went between her legs, and she was already dripping wet before I was lapping up her juices as she grabbed my hair, screaming my name. I looked into her eyes one more time, and asked, "Are you sure?" She nodded for me to go ahead and I entered her sweet channel with one slow thrust, savoring the moment, I had missed this intimacy with her for so long. We were so wrapped up in each other as Bashien's magic came over us marking his mate, I tried to control him but he wasn't having it, he wanted her.

I looked into her eyes and knew she was close as I kept thrusting in and out of her, I saw that Diamond wanted to mark me, but I said, breathing heavily, "We can't go against the law, it would do more harm than good," so she backed down and we both cummed together in beautiful bliss. After our hot session, I had Emi next to me resting her head on my chest and I decided to tell her everything and why she was caught in the middle. I linked Cayden to tell him I would be late and he smiled and said, "Already done, brother, take your time."

I told Emerie that I had never met Marcus, he had mistaken me for someone else or I had no memory of it. I assured her if I was in my right mind, I would never have made a deal like that and I don't f**k mated females, especially wolves. She cried and said, "I believe you; you would never do that to me, but how do we prove he is lying, blood never lies?" I said, "I don't know," but we knew witches were involved. She apologized for falling for Marcus and that she was under a spell and I felt how scared she was at the thought of going back to him and then it hit me and I flew up in a rage and said, "Wait here, I will be back." I mind-linked Drax and Cayden, "Meeting room, now, I have figured it out, get King Silas on the phone, now." I ran out the door in nothing but joggers and ran into, Alpha Marcus.

He smiled and said, "Two days and I can leave with my mate," I was holding Bashien back, Marcus smelled Emerie on me and his eyes flicked to gold showing his wolf. He grabbed my throat pushing me back to the wall, he leaned in, stopping just a few inches away from my face and I smiled, my dagger was at his throat, he never saw it coming. I said, "Soon, you will be begging for your life, mutt," my eyes flicked to dark gray, it was Bashien before he backed off and said, "You will regret this, I should have killed you long ago," before he walked away and I ordered the guards to keep him away from my side of the Palace wing or I would have everyone's head. Marcus was going down, he didn't know it yet, what I just figured out just tipped the case in our favor.
