"No Haron, he isn't!"
"Initially even I thought that he was joking, but now I'm sure that he is just toying with us!", Guro said with a raised voice.
"Ah? Is that so?", Haron looked towards Jay now.
He didn't have anything to say because he was indeed serious. He really wanted them to file a report about the vampires and have an investigation on them.
But this was annoying the officers because for them it was not a joke anymore.
"Please listen to me! I'm telling the truth, it was the vampires that caused the accident!", Jay said.
"..."
Haron and Guro stared at each other. Then Haron said, "Boy, get out of here, we can't help you!"
His tone had changed a bit. Jay had initially thought that Haron was somewhat better than Guro, but it seemed like he was wrong.
Both weren't different by any means. Both of them wanted to just slack but Jay knew that he too sounded ridiculous.
"Please! I'm not lying. It's the truth!"
"The vampires..."
Just before completing his sentence, he was kicked hardly by Guro on his abdomen which pushed him back a bit.
"Wow, would you look at that? His body this thin and fragile but still he can hold his ground against me!"
Guro took an interest but what Jay was asking was making him infuriated again and again.
"Sigh, okay boy tell me."
"Why did the vampires attack the humans out of nowhere?", Haron asked.
"Huh? Haron! Are you really believing this boy's bullshit?", Guro asked.
Haron just waved his hand a bit as if he wanted Guro to quiet down for now.
Guro too followed what Haron wanted and shut his mouth for the moment.
"I... I don't know...", Jay replied in a low voice.
"Hmm, then tell me, at exactly what time did the vampires appear and attack?"
"..."
"I don't know...", Jay didn't have answer for this question either.
"Alright, then tell me, how many people were killed because of the vampires?"
"..."
Jay was quiet. He didn't even reply now. He had been saying to file the report, but when asked, he couldn't answer even a single question.
Haron too asked the questions for which answering would be quite difficult and seeing Jay's circumstances, he couldn't answer even a single one of them!
"Ha! Boy, when you don't even know what you want to complain about, how can you just ask us to file a report?", Haron asked.
With this it was evident that Haron was not all talk. He did have some wit to completely shut Jay's mouth.
But without a doubt Guro was nothing other than a mutt. He probably got in as an officer due to his well build body and nothing else.
"Come back when you find out the answers for all the questions that I asked!"
"If you are still unsatisfied, you can go and ask detective Vinno Holmes to take your case!", was what Haron said.
Jay was initially quite disappointed but when he heard the recommendation, his eyes sparkled as if he got some ray of hope.
"Yes! Can I get his address?", Jay asked right away.
Haron seeing his excitement, wrote the address on a piece of paper and then handed it to Jay.
"Here you go boy!"
Right now, Haron didn't seem to be that bad a person in Jay's eyes.
He bowed and after thanking rushed towards the destination hat was mentioned on the paper.
"Uh, why did you give Vinno's address?", Guro asked.
"Well, what's the trouble anyway?"
"Vinno is a weirdo in the first place so he would without a doubt start investigating...", Hanro replied.
"But do you really think that this would result in anything?", Guro stared in an awkward manner when he asked this.
"I don't know, but for some reason I couldn't prevent myself from helping that boy..."
"For a moment I saw myself in him...", Hanro said this with a deep tone as if he was really upset about what he was telling.
"..."
Guro didn't pry much to what he said. They changed the topic quite soon and went for another round of smoking.
While they did that, Jay ran with all his might towards the address that Hanro had mentioned.
"Left from here...", after running along the straight path, he took a left turn as it was mentioned in the map.
"And now right!"
"Next the third left..."
He followed the map exactly and soon ended up reaching the small hill of the city - Hill Cryonoma.
It was not that huge of a hill, but it was the highest point in that entire city.
Of course, even the tallest building of the city couldn't be compared to that.
Jay rushed as fast as he could and climbed the hill as per the paper's instructions.
Within 2 minutes, he was already at the top of the hill and yet again his panting was insignificant.
His breathing was too steady to even count it as panting.
"So this is where Detective Vinno Holmes stays!"
There was a huge bungalow in front of him. Since it was already dark, nothing could be clearly seen.
But the window was indeed radiating some light signifying that the lights from inside were on.
'Ding Dong'
Jay rang the bell and waited for a minute but no one opened the door.
"..."
'Ding Dong'
He rang the bell yet again but there was no response like earlier.
Even a single minute was like a whole year for him. He had lost the little amount of patience that he had while waiting.
"Detective Vinno Holmes!!!"
'Bang Bang'
He shouted and banged the door once or twice immediately after which the door fell apart.
'Boom'
"Huh? Was the door too old?"
Indeed the door was a bit old and it's quality had degraded, but it was not something that could be broken merely by banging it with your bare hands once or twice!
Jay walked in without asking anyone anything and called out, "Where are you Sir detective?"
"I..."
"I'm under you!"
"Get me out of here!!!"
