The Case - Part 1

"Ah!?"
"I'm so sorry!"
Jay immediately jumped aside from the fallen door on which he was standing.
It seemed like Vinno was crushed under the door and while he was trying to get out from the door by lifting it, Jay just walked over it leading to further crushing.
Jay lifted the door and put it aside right after which he helped the person stand.
'Huff Huff'
"Who the heck are you boy? Why did you even break my door?", Vinno asked.
The person who was standing before Jay was the great detective of the country - Vinno Holmes. Well, he did have splendid record due to which he was granted the surname Holmes as he desired, but lately he couldn't produce any results.
In fact, many a times he misled the cops due to which no one ever came to him to solve anything.
"I'm... I'm Jay and I'm sorry about the door..."
"Actually I came to ask your help."
Jay seemed a bit flustered after seeing which Vinno decided not to pry much about it. Although, he wouldn't let Jay go away without paying money, he wasn't such a greedy person that he wouldn't understand anyone's feelings.
"Help? And what is that?", Vinno was suspecting Jay.
Until now no one had come to him because of the bad and weird rumors that had spread about him, so when he found that Jay had come to seek help, he was quite suspicious.
"Well, it's quite weird speaking about this and no one believes me..."
"So I hope you won't ridicule me...", Jay said while scratching his head a bit.
"Ah...", Vinno looked at Jay for a few seconds.
'I guess, he is somewhat like me...', Vinno smiled.
Vinno's real name was Vin Nor Hanro. He was just some normal guy who was fed up with his life.
But this one time, when his family got killed because of reasons unknown, he became a detective and that too by taking a look at things in a depth.
He nicknamed himself as Holmes which was received as a praise but now, he was no longer that able because all he could do was ruin situations.
"That's fine, I'll listen to whatever you have to say...", Vinno said in a low voice.
"Actually..", the Jay started speaking and soon told about everything that had actually happened.
He narrated from the point about getting call from his sister till the point where the cops asked him to look for Vinno.
"And that's all I wanted to say...", Jay had his head lowered after finishing what he had to say.
He didn't have the guts to raise his head and look at Vinno because he didn't want to get ridiculed again. Also, Vinno was probably his last ray of hope so he was afraid to lose it!
"Did..."
"Did you just say Vampires...?", Vinno asked.
Jay gritted his teeth and them clenched his fist. Right after that he replied, "Yes..."
"Vampires... I'm talking about the real vampires...", Jay said in a low voice.
His eyes were tightly shut and he could do nothing but hope that Vinno would agree to help him.
"That's ridiculous...", Vinno said.
And the moment Jay heard that, it was as if his last ray of hope had vanished, but the words that followed later form Vinno's mouth basically lit everything around him.
"So your family also got murdered by the Vampires...?", Vinno asked with his eyes widely opened.
Jay raised his head almost immediately when he heard that. The specific stress on the word 'Also' was given by Vinno which wasn't missed by Jay.
"Yes...", that's all Jay said.
"...", Vinno refrained from saying anything else and so did Jay.
It was quiet for a while and both of them sat in the same position like that of a statue.
"Get out...", Vinno mumbled.
"Pardon...?", Jay failed to hear what Vinno said.
"Man, get the heck out of my house!", Vinno shouted at the top of his voice.
"Eh!?", Jay was shocked when he heard that.
Jay was still sitting on the chair after seeing which Vinno stood up and held his hand and started to drag him.
Although, he failed to do it initially, he was successfully able to pull him while applying every ounce of strength that he had.
"Wait, what did I even do?", Jay asked but as soon as he did, the door was closed abruptly with a loud bang.
"Just... what did I even do?", was the only question that Jay was asking despite being cased out of the house.
It was rather confusing because all he did was tell the truth about himself and it seemed as if Vinno had also accepted that. But then something happened suddenly and Vinno chased him out which was still like a mystery to him.
"Dang, I really hate people like you...."
"You might have heard of the rumor about how I claimed that my parents were killed by vampires and now you are trying to make fun of me?", Vinno asked angrily.
"No! I swear, what I told was the truth!", Jay tried to convince him.
"Shut up and get lost, I don't care anymore.", right after saying this Vinno started to walk away from the door.
"Please, I need your help, and I swear whatever I told was the truth...", Jay said loudly while banging the door.
"Why would I run all the way straight from the hospital just to prank you or tease you!?"
"I don't even know you!", Jay shouted.
"Please! I don't know what has happened, but all the moments and things of my missing sister have been disappearing!"
"I know for sure that she isn't death, this has something to do with the vampires!"
"Please!", Jay shouted when suddenly Vinno opened the door slowly.
"What did you say? Things were disappearing...?", Vinno asked.
"Yes!", Jay nodded his head quite vigorously after seeing Vinno coming out again.
"...", after hearing that he remained quiet for a while and then opened the door completely.
"Get inside then... let's discuss the case..."
Wen Jay heard that, his joy knew no bounds. His eyes were filled with tears and he bowed his head almost instantly.
"Thank you!"
Right after saying that he followed him inside as per what he said.
