Chapter 11
Neil stood behind Dr. Turner, looking over his shoulder. The man sat at his desk, explaining the new schedule he’d made out in the absence of a third vet. Neil was to take over Betsy’s duties at the small animal clinic and riding stable in town. He would be relieved of his barn duties at the main barns. His main assignment at Island Tour headquarters would be as a consultant to the farriers in the mornings and alternating being on call in the evenings with Dr. Turner. Neil breathed a sigh of relief. At least that would give him opportunities to see Rolf.
“I’ll be letting the staff know about the vet situation and ask for their patience while we’re in this predicament. I hope I can find someone to replace Betsy, but if I can’t we may have to limp through with this schedule for
