Neil was in the vet surgery, getting supplies ready to be taken down to the clinic in town. Dr. Turner had told Neil he’d made arrangements for someone who was going into town on barn business to pick him up. Neil kept an eye on the window as he gathered the things Dr. Turner wanted. He heard a wagon pull up to the building. Neil picked up one of the boxes he’d prepared and walked toward the door. As he neared it, the door opened. Rolf stood in the doorway. The two men looked at each other for a moment. Rolf looked uncomfortable. Finally, he said, “Um…Good morning. Is Dr. Turner here?
