The following few days were a flurry of activity. The same physical exams and inoculations that had been done on the departing horses, were now being repeated with the new arrivals. Rather than have each horse brought to the clinic individually, Neil and Dr. Turner went to the barns where the horses were being groomed, clipped, bathed, and readied for their first tours of duty as the population of tourists increased. New staffers were being schooled in how to correctly harness their horses, having lessons on how to drive a team, as well as being given other important information regarding their care. The farriers were also busy. The horses had been barefooted over the winter. Now their hooves all needed a good trim and the composite work shoes put on. Every leg and hoof had to be checked
