Chapter four annoying alarm

~~Star’s P.O.V~~   I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm clock going off again. I felt so well rested after having an undisturbed sleep, the first one in a while. I knew my dad had to be at work early today, he does the same once every week and I was glad that I didn't have to be careful not to bump into him. I could get ready in peace, without having to worry about him, so I was always grateful for this day of the week. I wanted to get up and start my day, I was actually looking forward to it for some reason. I got out of bed and took a shower, dried off and got dressed. My dad didn't beat me last night, but I still had cuts and bruises from the previous beatings, so I decided to wear my baggy blue jeans and a baggy sweater since it's cold today, then I grabbed my baggy hoodie and put that over the top. I brushed my hair and pulled my hood up over my head like I always did. I went down the stairs, not needing or bothering to be quiet or careful and grabbed an apple out of the kitchen. I left my house and started walking to school. Today felt different and I don't know why, something felt like it was going to happen, but I just couldn't put my finger on what it was. I finally got to school and just my luck that b***h Kristie was standing outside, waiting by a tree.   “Hey Star, come over here I want to talk to you.” Kristie said, calling me over. I rolled my eyes and walked over to her, she had her arms crossed. Here we go, I thought to myself, sighing as I knew that stand and look. I got to her and she gave me a weird smirk and then I realised what was happening, she wanted information.   “Hi Star, so what did Nash have to say about me yesterday? Did he say anything at all?” Kristie asked and I rolled my eyes, making sure that she saw me do it.   “I didn't talk to him, so he's all yours, Kristie. By the way he didn't say anything about you, he was just wanting to know why I was wearing a hoodie over my face.” I replied and she just looked at me.   “Well, I know why it's because you're ugly.” Kristie said, laughing and before I even knew what was happening she had reached up and pulled my hoodie off of my head, revealing what I was trying to hide. Kristie’s jaw dropped the moment she saw my face, but she soon quickly recovered and started laughing again.   “No wonder you hide, your fat and your ugly.” Kristie said and swung her hand back, slapping me across the face before I even had a chance to stop her. Now I bet you think I didn't do anything back, that I just let her slap me like my dad does, WRONG. I get enough beatings from my dad at home and I refuse to deal with it here as well. I grabbed Kristie’s arm before she could put it back down and twisted it behind her back.   “Do you remember the last time that you did that Kristie? The last time you tried to mess with me? If you don't then let me remind you, you almost ended up with a broken arm. I’m not a pushover and as soon as you realise this the better and you will leave me alone.” I said and shoved her arm away from me. I pulled my hoodie down over my face and my hand brushed against my skin, that's when I realised I didn't put my cover up on today and she just got a full view of what my face really looked like. Kristie was still standing by the tree, shocked and watching me.   “IT'S NOT OVER LITTLE GIRL! LEAVE NASH ALONE! HE'S MINE!” Kristie screamed out to me, but I just shook my head as I calmly walked to the girls toilets and locked the door behind me. Thankfully I always carried it with me, just in case. I applied and covered up all my bruises, that way even if Kristie did blab like usual no one would believe her because no one would be able to see anything.                                                       ~~Kristie’s P.O.V~~   I only wanted to know if Nash had said anything about me or even mentioned me, I mean come on seriously, who could resist me, but Star really ticks me off. What did Nash see in her anyway? I called her over and I had a plan, I wanted to see her face and find out what Nash liked about her. I had only ever seen her face once and from what I had seen I knew that she was pretty, so it didn't make sense as to why she hid away under that hoodie. What was she hiding? Screw it, I thought and ripped the hoodie from her head, but what I saw was scary and shocking. I saw the bruises on her face and the cut, but I never saw those before, maybe she used cover up and make-up to hide them. I mean what the hell? Who did this to her and why? I didn't bother to ask though, instead me being me I slapped her, but she grabbed my arm and twisted it. She threatened to break it and I already knew that she could, she was weirdly strong. Maybe she was in a fight club or something like that, just like the film fight club and she couldn't talk about it, that's why she hid her face so that no one would ask questions. I hated her though and stood there, watching her leave. I screamed out to her, but she just shook her head as she walked away from me and that just pissed me off even more. Why wouldn't she react? I saw Nash a few minutes later, heading into the school behind her and I stormed out from behind the tree, heading into the school. I walked to the classroom, but before I could even get to the door I was stopped by Kelly. I looked at the red haired, green eyed girl curiously. She was eighteen years old and I have to admit she had a smile to die for, but that just pissed me off.   “Hey Kristie, why don't you just leave her alone? She's got enough to handle, she doesn't need you to pester her about some guy. You can get any guy you want, so why do you want Nash, my….” Kelly said, but I huffed and stopped her talking.   “Kelly, how about this, mind your own damn business. What are you anyway, her protector?” I asked, rolling my eyes at her.   “You know, I just might be, so watch your step.” Kelly whispered, leaning in closer to me and with that being said she walked into the classroom. I rolled my eyes at her and walked into the classroom, looking at Star and then Nash, who was yet again sitting next to her. I sat down in my seat and spent the rest of the lesson planning on how I was going to corner Star and get the answers I wanted from her, even if I have to beat her ass to get them. The bell rang for the next class and I left the classroom, following Star, but before I could get a chance to grab her Kelly stepped in my way again.   “Going somewhere? I think your next class is in the other direction.” Kelly said, just as my friends Debra and Janice showed up.   “Kristie, is this girl bothering you?” Debra asked me and I smirked shrugging my shoulders.   “Why don't you go and play with your friend.” I said, smirking at her.   “I’ll go play with mine if you go and play with yours.” Kelly said, standing her ground, until we gave up, turned around and left. I just have to find another way to get her, when her guard dog wasn’t around, ruining my plans.
