Stevie trolls in, a wide grin on her face. "Ta-da! Surprise!" she exclaims as she stops right in front of me.
My eyebrows are scrunched up, giving her a look she's quite familiar with.
She laughs, throwing a hand up "I know, I know. I just wanted to surprise you," she says, pulling me in for a hug.
I hug her right back, so excited to have her back but I don't show it yet.
"Wouldn't be a surprise if I had told you," she retorts, as she pulls off, her grin intact.
"Well, voila. I'm surprised," I tell her, my tone not missing the sarcasm.
She shrugs, making a funny face, I can't help but laugh. "I've missed you Stevie," I say, reaching out to her hand and clinging to it.
