Edwards company
Tara's car drove into the company, she got down from the car and walked into the skyscraper building.
“Good morning ma'am Tara!"
“Welcome ma'am!" The employees and security bowed as she walked in elegantly straight into the elevator, she was wearing a short red gown and her black shiny heels, holding a red purse, her hair hanging down her shoulders, she looked so beautiful. She picked up her phone and called her friend.
“Hey, I'm in the building, grandpa said I should shadow you for a couple of days." she said, waiting for the elevator doors to close.
“Yeah, I will be there in a minute." Mira responded over the phone.
“Alright, I will see you soon." Tara said and hung up the call, the elevator door was about to close when someone pressed it to open, it was Alex, he got in with a smile.
“Alex!?" Tara called surprised.
“Oh, hey! Good to see you again." He smiled at her.
“I don't know you are onboard already, how's everything going?" Tara asked, smiling back, the elevator door closed.
“So far so good. And now even better, I wanted to thank you for the job, maybe I will treat you to dinner tonight?" Alex asked.
“Oh I barely did anything, you earned that for yourself." Tara chuckled softly.
“Still, I wouldn't have got the opportunity without your help, c'mon I know a great place, I think you will love it." Alex said calmly.
“O..ok..ok, just returning the favor and I owe you nothing okay?" Tara giggled. The elevator opens and Alex gets out.
“See you after work, bye!" Alex smiled and Tara waves at him.
Immediately the elevator door closes, Alex took out his phone and called one of the waiters in his restaurant.
“Hello sir, what can I do for you?" The waiter asked.
“I'm taking an important guest to our restaurant, pretend you don't know me, understand?" Alex said over the phone.
“Yes sir." The waiter said and Alex hung up.
Later after work, Alex walked up to Tara.
“Hi, closed for work?" Alex asked.
“Ugh, yeah." Tara responded, closing her laptop and carrying her purse, she walked straight to him.
“Shall we?" Alex asked and Tara nodded, she opened her car and they got in.
“I will drive" he said, Tara nodded and he drove off.
They soon arrived in a beautiful and fancy restaurant where he stopped, he got down and opened the door for her, they walked into the restaurant and sat down.
“Wow, I didn't expect you to find such a fancy place." Tara wowed looking around.
“Well, I didn't wanna seem lousy." Alex said, letting out a cute smile. Tara turned and her eyes caught Bronx and Mara sitting in front of them but they didn't see her yet.
“Holy s**t! Ugh, do you mind if we go somewhere else actually?" Tara asked, feeling uncomfortable.
“What, why? The menu doesn't interest you?" Alex asked, surprised at her sudden change.
“No..no it's not that…uhm '' Tara stammered, her eyes stuck to the exact direction. Alex followed her eyes and saw Bronx.
“Oh, someone you know?" Alex asked.
“Yeah, umm.. it's my ex-husband actually." Tara explained, chuckling nervously.
“Oooh ouch, and that's his new girlfriend?" Alex asked.
“No..well I mean I don't know, it's complicated." Tara replied nervously.
“You don't really have to hide from them." Alex said.
“Nope, I'm not hiding, I just really don't wanna deal with them right now." Tara concluded.
“Okay, let me take care of it." Alex said, he stood up and left.
Alex walked silently into a secluded place and the bartender came straight up to him.
“Boss, is there a problem, were you not well attended to?" The bartender asked.
“Those couples sitting over there, make them leave my restaurant this minute, my special guest is uncomfortable with them here. Did you understand?" Alex asked sternly.
“Yes boss." The bartender replied, Alex went back to his seat.
“I went to the restroom." He said and Tara smiled and nodded.
The bartender walked up to Bronx and Mara.
“Ugh,Good evening, I'm sorry we closed early tonight, you need to leave." The bartender said to Bronx and Mara.
“What!?" Bronx said surprised, Mara scoffs and immediately her eyes catch Tara sitting with Alex.
“Hmm, Why is that woman there? I thought you only take VIP customers?" Mara asked sarcastically.
“Yes, that is our policy, that lady is a platinum VIP customer." The bartender responded.
“What! You're kidding! How could she become a platinum VIP!" Mara yelled angrily and fiercely.
“That's enough Mara, let's go." Bronx said holding Mara down.
“No Bronx, this lady is not supposed to be here! She is from the slums!" Mara shouted bitterly, Tara chuckled from where she was sitting like she didn't care.
“C'mon Mara, let's go!" Bronx dragged Mara out of the restaurant.
“Wow, they are actually leaving, what did you do?" Tara asked curiously immediately Bronx and Mara left.
“ugh, well, the manager and I are college buddies." Alex lied.
“College buddies? But merely looking at him over there, he looks much older than you, how come he is your classmate?" Tara giggled.
“Oh, yeah! He started late I guess." Alex laughed softly but nervously.
“Ok…ok problem solved, let's eat." Tara said and Alex nodded.
Bronx's house.
Bronx walked into the sitting room angrily, he sat down and Mara sat beside him, clearly he was angry.
“Bronx, are you still angry at Tara?" Mara asked softly.
“Get some rest Mara, we will talk tomorrow." Bronx managed to say.
“I understand, you recently divorced and you have already seen her with two guys, Bronx, Mara never loved you." Mara said flirtatiously.
“What are you saying Mara?" Bronx asked, confused.
“She only loved you for your money, But I… I've always loved you." Mara finished creasing his thighs.
“Mara, you are very important to me but I always see you as a sister." Bronx said, he stood up and left. Mara sobbed bitterly and hurt. Mara brought out her phone immediately and called the doctor.
“Hello Miss Mara." The doctor said over the phone.
“Hi doctor young, I need a favor from you." Mara said, letting out a wicked smile.
Hospital.
Bronx rushed into the hospital and ran straight into the doctor's office.
“Doctor Young, is Mara okay?" Bronx asked nervously.
“I'm sorry Alpha Bronx, Miss Mara is diagnosed with acute leukemia." The doctor said,
“What!?, She was okay yesterday!" Bronx exclaims tensed.
“She is going to need a bone marrow transplant as a soon as possible." The doctor finished and Bronx's eyes widened, the doctor handed the file diagnosis results to him, he walked out devastated.
Bronx took out his phone immediately and dialed Tara's number.
“Tara! Mara needs you now!" Bronx said hastily, pacing around the hospital corridor.
“Are you insane!? I'm not your wife anymore! Find someone else to feed your vampire girlfriend!" Tara said angrily.
“I don't have time to argue please, come to the hospital it's urgent!" Bronx pleaded.
“Huh!? I don't care!" Tara scoffed.
“It's leukemia Tara, she needs your bone marrow!" Bronx persuaded impatiently.
“Go to hell with your vampire girlfriend!" Tara yelled angrily.
“Please Tara, this will be the last time, I promise I will give you anything in return." Bronx begged.
“You know what, Bronx? I will come, but not because I need anything, this time I am going to show you the truth." Tara said and hung up.
