Three
Bar.
Tara drove to a bar where her friend Mira was waiting for her. She needs to cool off her head with a drink.
“Hey Tara, calm down it's better you divorce that jerk cause he is definitely up to no good." Mira said, sipping her liquor.
“Yeah but honestly I really didn't think that we would divorce and break up this way, I felt so bad and lost ." Tara said sadly.
“It's ok Tara, it's for the best, cheers for being free at least best friend!" Mira said happily, immediately a random drunk guy walked up to Mira grabbing her close to his bosom.
“Hello beautiful ladies, care for a drinking partner!?" He asked drunkenly.
“Let go of me!" Mira said and pushed him out of her body, he mistakenly bumped into an incoming handsome and muscular dude, the guy was holding a drink which splashed on the drunk guy's shirt.
“Silly! Why don't you watch where you are going!" The drunk guy barked furiously, grabbing the handsome dude's collar.
“You bumped into me first." The dude responded.
“Did you know how much my shirt cost huh!?" He shouted angrily at the handsome dude.
“of course I shouldn't know because I don't wear cheap clothes!" The handsome dude fired back.
“Enough please, Mr shirt, here is five grand it should serve to buy you a brand new shirt, you can leave him alone." Tara said tiredly, she brought out five thousand dollars and dropped it in front of him.
“Count yourself lucky." He said to the handsome dude and picked up the money, he left staggering.
“Phew! That was ridiculous!" Tara chuckled softly and Mira nodded with a smile.
“Ugh, well, he is right after all." The handsome dude said and Tara's eyebrows furrowed.
“Excuse me?" Mira asked curiously.
“Ok I mean, it's my lucky day to be rescued by beautiful ladies like you too." He said happily.
“I literally did nothing." Mira said softly.
“Uhm, I will still like to buy you two a drink tonight if I'm permitted to." The dude said.
“Sure!" Tara responded smiling.
“Perfect, I'm Alex by the way." He said.
“Tara," Tara responded.
“Nice to meet you!" He shook hands with Tara.
“I'm Mira, so are you a bartender here?" Mira asked curiously.
“No, just filling in for a friend, I'm kinda in between jobs." He said and Tara felt a soft spot.
“Oh, are you looking for an opportunity!?" Tara asked immediately.
“Yes, I'm looking for marketing positions if any." He responded.
“Well, I heard that Edward's company is hiring." Mira said.
“Yeah, but that place is kinda hard to get in, so I'm better off trying my luck elsewhere." He said, smiling at me.
“If you are really interested, I can refer you!" Tara responded sharply.
“Really? You can? I thought I had enough luck today!" He exclaims happily.
“Well, that sounds like a yes, it's settled, cheers to that!" Tara said, raising her glass for a cheer.
Alex was really happy that he is finally getting to work in the Edwards company with Tara. Thanks to his fake identity as a local bartender, he will get to know her.
“Cheers!" He responded happily and they sipped their wine happily. Alex excused himself to get back to his fake work, he got out and met vulgar, private investigator who faked himself as the drunk guy he bumped into and fought with earlier.
“Thanks man, you did a great job!" Alex shook hands with him.
“It's ok boss, anything for you." He responded and left.
Tara dropped my friend Mira off in front of her house and drove home tired and thinking about the handsome guy she met in the bar today, she smiled.
She got down from the car and walked into the sitting room. Grandpa was reading newspapers.
“Tara, how was your meeting with your friend Mira?" He asked softly, dropping the newspapers.
“ It was perfect grandpa, how are you doing this evening?" Tara asked, smiling at him, while sitting beside him.
“I'm fine sweetheart." He responded, just then, Tara's cousin brother Jeter came down from the stairs all dressed up.
“I'm leaving grandpa, I will be back soon I promise." He said adjusting his hair.
“You are going to the casino house? Why not take Tara with you so she can look around too and have fun." Grandpa said, smiling at her.
“Ugh, I'm really exhausted grandpa and need to rest A Bit." Tara groaned, but he finalized his statement.
“C'mon sweetie, go with him now, you are dressing cute or you can showered and go with him." Grandpa said and shereluctantly agreed.
Casino house.
Everywhere was lit, music blared loudly and it was noisy. They forced themselves inside and sat at a cool spot. Her brother loves playing casino so she only watched him play with some men as they stake money while playing.
“Hey man, it seems like you have won a lot here, let me give you the shock of your life, can I join you guys!?" A familiar voice said and she looked up immediately, it was Bronx walking straight to us with Mara by his side, guess they are now couples.
“Oh! Tara! It's my pleasure to meet you here again, I wonder what a riffraff and poor girl like you will be doing in such an expensive casino house!" Mara exclaims mockily.
“Watch your mouth Mara,I'm not here for a chitchat!" Tara fired back, Mara looked at her disgustingly.
“And I can see, you are now dating Mr. Jeter Edward, don't worry, I hope he takes care of your poor self." Mara mocked.
“Stop talking nonsense lady!" Jeter yelled angrily and Mara kept calm.
“Tara, you shouldn't be here, it's expensive for you and your boyfriend here can afford to spend so much on you." Bronx said.
“As far as I can remember Bronx, I didn't take a penny from you while living in your house and mind how you talk to me, I'm not your silly old-fashioned girlfriend here and can sue you for harassment!" Tara replied confidently.
Tara's cousin and Bronx played the game together until her cousin stakes 50 million dollars which Bronx can't afford to win.
“The winner of the game is Mr. Jeter , and Miss Tara!" The general announced and Mara scoffed wickedly.
Tara and Jeter walked out of the casino house and Bronx followed with Mara.
“Impressive Tara, quick to find a new Mark huh?" Bronx smirked, Tara stopped and turned facing them.
“Really? That's impressive to you? How about me being Mara's personal blood donor for 2 good years!?" Tara responded confidently.
“Don't take it out on Bronx Tara, blame it on my poor health if you must." Mara said as calmly as she could.
“Keep your fake kind words to yourself Mara, don't act innocent here." Tara said. Mara walked closer to me.
“We don't have to be enemies right?" She said, placing her hand on Tara's shoulder.
“Get your filthy hands off me!" Tara said and shook her hands off her shoulder, Mara slumped immediately and fainted, well, Tara is used to Mara's sick self already.
“Mara! Quick! Come with me, she needs your blood right now!" Bronx panicked to Tara's greatest surprise holding onto Mara.
“Really? You jerk! What did you take me for? That bullshit again, she can die for all I care!" Tara chuckled softly.
“Back off, Tara has nothing to do with you now!" Jeter said glaring at Bronx, he held Tara's hand and they left.
“Mara! Mara!" Bronx calls her from a distance.
