Queenie touched her belly, her future bleak as all hope was taken away from her, knowing that she stands no chance if Rainie is pregnant as well.
What can she do?
Where can she go?
Back at the ward, Rainie was weak lying on the bed.
‘Wesley…’ she held her hand out to grab on to him.
‘How’re you feeling?’ Wesley asked.
‘Much better… don’t blame Queenie, it’s all me…’ she whispered.
‘Stay away from that woman from now on.’ Wesley said, his voice full of hatred.
‘Okay.. what about our baby?’ she sat up and laid in his arms.
‘Doctor said it’s fine.’ Wesley said, but he was a little confused as to why it’s fine after the fall.
‘Wesley… when are you divorcing Queenie?’ Rainie asked softly.
‘Now.’ He said while frowning.
Wesley went to Queenie’s place, he knew where she was since she moved, but he chose to leave her alone then.
Queenie’s woken up by a knock on the door, and she regretted opening it when she saw who was behind it.
‘You’d rather stay in a broken place like this than sign the papers?’ Wesley asked sarcastically.
Queenie remained silent.
‘Stop playing games.’ Wesley said, as he felt uncomfortable looking at her depressed face.
He saw a stack of documents on the table and went ahead to read it, but Queenie tried to stop him.
‘No, don’t touch it.’ Queenie yelled.
‘You’re pregnant? Whose child is it?’ he asked, after reading the documents.
Queenie was reluctant to tell him the truth, as she knew very well that he wouldn’t want their baby as Rainie’s already pregnant.
Wesley’s eyes filled with anger, as he became mad that Queenie’s fooling around when they’re not divorced yet.
‘Say it, whose child is it?’ he yelled at her.
‘If I said that it’s yours, would you believe me?’ Queenie asked with tears in her eyes, clenching her fists.
‘Queenie, do you think I’m stupid? I fed you with emergency contraceptives myself, how could it be mine?’ he asked.
‘That night after you left, I…’ Queenie tried to explain herself.
‘Even if it’s mine, I don’t want it.’ Wesley said coldly, destroying the little hope that Queenie still clung on to.
