‘You’re really that cruel?’ Queenie looked at him in disbelief.
‘Since you’ve already found someone else, just sign the papers and not waste any time.’ Wesley said coldly.
‘Is there no possibility for us to be together?’ Queenie started crying.
‘Do you think that I’ll take care of someone else’s child?’ Wesley asked, clearly upset about it.
He wondered if Queenie’s always with another man whenever he’s not around these 3 years.
He can’t help but clench his fists, infuriated at the thought of Queenie having s*x with another man.
But she’s always been a tool to him, for revenge, and for him to look at when he misses Rainie.
Eventually, he realized that they’re not alike at all, other than their appearances.
Rainie’s soft and gentle, caring and loving yet Queenie’s stubborn and persistent.
Because of their differences, Wesley decided not to visit Queenie often, he’s afraid that he’ll eventually forget that she’s a substitute for Rainie and falls in love with her.
He stops by often, lurked around the front door, but never entering the house, looking at the lights all brightly lit till midnight. He knows, he knows that Queenie’s waiting for him.
She waited for him till 2 a.m. daily, all because of what he said, that he’ll come home at 2 a.m. the latest. It became a habit, for her to wait for him till late night everyday.
Queenie touched her belly, forcing herself to sign the papers in order to keep the baby. She knew very well, it’s the end of their marriage. There’s no turning back.
‘I’ll sign.’ She said, as she shakily took up the pen.
Once her signature was on the paper, she felt relieved from a heavy burden, 3 years of unreciprocated love.
Wesley snatched the agreement from her, opened the door wanting to leave.
But there was a man waiting outside, a gentle looking man.
‘Mr Wesley.’ He said, his gentle looks turned into hatred.
‘Mr Yurin, I didn’t know you have a habit of picking up someone else’s used toys.’ Wesley said sarcastically.
