Reid doesn't pull away even as hot tears soak my cheeks. He flicks them away with his thumbs, and he keeps kissing me until I'm calm before he finally pulls back. I open my eyes when his thumb traces my lower lip, and I swallow when my eyes stray to his face. His lips are slightly parted, his breathing somehow rugged, his dark eyes gazing at me. When I hide my face on his chest, he wraps an arm around my waist and holds me close.
