Song – Billie Eilish – idontwannabeyouanymore “Are you ready to order?” The waiter asked them as they looked over the menu. “We’ll have two stakes and a bottle of red wine.” Tate ordered for the both of them to which the waiter quickly left. “So tell me more about you.” Tate said while leaning forward as Rayna did the same. “Well what do you want to know?” Rayna said carefully with a smile that hides both her nervousness and her fear. She didn’t want to lie to him so she would have to be very careful when answering him. “Everything... What do you do at the club?” He asked. “I actually own the club. A very good investment. I just make sure everything runs smoothly, what about you? What do you do?” Rayna told him and asked. “I’m still in high school.” Tate confessed. “Oh, how old are you.” Rayna asked in shock thinking ‘why the hell did I say yes, oh right… he’s insanely good looking.’ “I’m 19.” Tate answered honestly and waited for Rayna to leave because there was no way in hell that she was going to stay with him. “Wow, okay…” Rayna said and held her breath. “I know what you’re thinking. We could never work out…” Tate sighed. “Wait I’m not thinking that. I'm just thinking that it’s a six year age gap.” Rayna pursed her lips. She didn’t even want to think about it. “Okay let’s move on, I believe it was your turn.” Rayna smiled at him. It wasn’t like he could control his age and had never felt this way with someone else. “Okay… where are you from?” Tate asked. “Oh, I’m from Russia hence the accent. I was born in Moscow. I was an orphan and the orphanage closed down and then I came to America when I turned 7.” Rayna explained and paused as the waiter came back with their food and the wine. “Did you ever go back to Russia?” Tate asked her as he poured the wine for them. "Yes actually. I go back there all the time. It's still my home.” Rayna told him which was true. She loved Russia and was proud of it. “And College?” he asked. “I actually finished college two years back. I went to Harvard business. What about you? Are you planning to go to College?” she asked her date. “Yes. I got accepted to NYC.” Tate stated proudly. “Major?” she asked him. “Law.” Tate answered and grinned at the impressed look the washed over her face. “I’m going to be honest. I thought you would freak out by my age.” Tate confessed and smiled. “Well I can’t really control your age and I don’t think it defines you. Your age doesn’t change anything.” Rayna smiled at him reassuringly. And that’s how the evening went, getting to know each other and get lost further in each other. There was no denying that there was more than just attraction for Rayna and Tate, well she was his mate, his given so he didn’t need a reason accept for that its fate and he was going to whole heartily accept it. … “I had a good time.” Rayna said as she removed Tate's jacket that was draped over her shoulders. Like all good things, it must come to an end and that end came when Emilio had called her with an issue. “I’m glad. Maybe we could do it again?” Tate suggested while scratching the back of his neck. “I would like that. Call me.” Rayna smiled and leaned forward to kiss his cheek and then disappeared into the night leaving a love sick Tate. Everything was finally going great… But there always has to be a balance, things were really good but things were going to get really bad. … “Sorry Ray, but he couldn’t wait.” Emilio apologised to her as she walked in front of him. “Well the next time he’s an impatient little brat then shoot him. I was actually having a good time on my date.” Rayna huffed in annoyance and clenched her jaw in anger. “Decarro, what an unpleasant surprise.” Rayna exclaimed as she walked into her office where Decarro lounged about in her chair. “Aw Rayna, your words wound me but I know you still love me.” Decarro laughed and put his feet on the desk to which Rayna flicked it off and growled in an uncontainable anger. “Stop playing games and get your ass of my chair.” She ordered and raised a hand up motioning for him to leave. “And why would I do that?” he asked. “five…four...three…” Rayna started counting down and took a gun from Emilio and held it up, pointing it at Decarro. “two…one…” she finished and on the last number he woke up and held his hands up in surrender. “Didn’t lose your balls but instead your sense of humour.” He commented. “What do you want Decarro?” Rayna asked as she was tired of his games. “You know what I want.” He growled and stepped closer. “Decarro.” Rayna warned. “I can be the best you’ve ever had.” He smirked. “Oh what a relief, your ego is still in check.” She snorted and pushed him back and went to still in her chair. “My men saw you and him tonight.” Decarro informed. “And…” Rayna said, clearly bored with the subject. “And why him. I can give you more. He’s a child. With us together we can run the north cartel.” Decarro argued. “Decarro I prefer flying under the raider. The day you make feel the way he can, is the day I come to you but for now… get out.” Rayna smiled at him and sat back and watched as he left in a rage and slammed the door. “Men…” … Mean while with Tate … “So how did it go?” Colt asked as he petted Danny's head as she slept peacefully as they both waited for Tate to come home. “It was good.” Tate smiled and picked Danny up. All he could really think about was her, his mate, his Rayna. How was he going to tell her what he was?
