Jaxon Sara had been sleeping for hours. I knew I should have been relieved to see she was sleeping and resting. That was the only thing I could think that might help her. But she was still uneasy looking, she was still crying softly. Every part of me hurt, watching her hurt. My muscles were achy and uncomfortable but I sat still in the chair and kept my eyes on her. I watched her as if nothing could harm her as long as she was in my sight. But I knew that wasn't true. I knew most of the hurt and pain she was suffering now was my fault. I had no right to be here or claim to be the one who was watching over her. I did the worst damage that any of my enemies ever did. The nurse came back into the room and pulled up her chart. She started reviewing information and making different notes.
